This edition of “Scandina- vian Shipowners” comprises comprehensive listings of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic and Faroese ship owners and ship management companies. The framework of the book The Scandinavian region is divided by country, and in each section domestic companies are listed alphabetically. Companies are listed with visit and postal addresses, e-mail and web sites, senior man- agement and full fleet lists. Generally, vessels included in the fleetlists are owned, commercially or technically managed or chartered on minimum 1 year duration. All vessels are alphabetically listed in a single table at the back of the book. The companies are also divided into the following 6 sectors: Tank (oil, gas and chemicals), Bulk General Cargo (containers, car carri- ers, reefers, ro-ros, ro-pax and side-port vessels), Cruise and Fer- ries, Service and Offshore Supply (psv. ahts, tugs, barges, seismic, cable layers etc.), Drilling rigs and Oil Production Vessels. We hope this outline will be helpful to anyone who needs to address specific sectors of the shipping industry. As readers are aware, some large “Scandinavian” shipowners are registered in countries outside this geographical area. Even though these companies often have an office in Scandinavia, they may not be officially registered as Scandinavian companies. Denne Masteroppgaven er det siste arbeidet jeg legger ned ved UiS før jeg får graden Master i Marin- og Undervannsteknologi. Oppgaven teller 30 studiepoeng og har gått over hele dette siste semesteret i Stavanger. De siste fem årene, som startet med Bachelorgrad i Marinteknikk ved Høgskolen i Bergen høsten 2002, har gått veldig fort og gitt meg kompetanse og åpninger til arbeidslivet jeg ikke ville vært foruten. Masteroppgaven har vært gjort i samarbeid med Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi AS (KGJS) i Bergen. Jeg fikk oppgaven av visedirektør for prosjektavdelingen hos KGJS, Jan Berntzen, i januar 2007. Jeg har i denne perioden vært mye på kontoret i Fyllingsdalen, der jeg har jobbet en del sammen med og tatt del i arbeidet til ”NO X- gruppen” i firmaet. Samtidig har jeg fått god støtte og verdifulle tilbakemeldinger fra spesielt ansatte hos KGJS Cement og prosjektavdelingen. Jeg fikk også en tur til Molde, der jeg var med på målinger av NO X-utslipp på fergen Tresfjord.

Dei løysingane ein kom fram til i forprosjektet skal danne grunnlag for detaljreguleringa og vere førande for planarbeidet. Reguleringsplanen er eit samarbeid mellom kommunen og Sandalskaia Eigedom. Målet med planen er å legge til rette for å lage eit attraktivt sentrumsområde i Eivindvik.

    Eigarmelding 2012 Fylkeskommunalt eigarskap i selskap www.sfj.no Side 1 av 107 Føreord Dette er femte gongen Sogn og Fjordane fylkeskommune legg fram ei melding om eigarskapen sin i selskap. Eigarmeldinga er såleis ei rullering av den vedtekne meldinga frå 2011. Del I omhandlar eigarpolitikk. I denne delen kjem det fram vurderingar av mellom anna prinsipielle utfordringar, samfunnsansvar og etikk, retningsliner for utøving av fylkeskommunal eigarskap, og regelverk knytt til habilitet for folkevalde i ulike rollar. Del II har omtale av kvart av selskapa og ei vurdering av eigarskapen. Omtalen bygger på årsrekneskap og årsmeldingar frå selskapa for 2011. I tillegg inneheld del II ei kortfatta oversikt over stiftingar der fylkeskommunen er involvert. Fylkeskommunen har ved utgangen av oktober 2012 eigarskap i 20 aksjeselskap, 3 interkommunale selskap, 1 gjensidig selskap og 1 særlovsselskap. Eigarmeldinga omhandlar i hovudsak eigarskap per 31.12.2011, men omtalar også kjente endringar så langt i 2012. Prosjektperioden ble avsluttet 1.7.2002, og KOSTRA er nå i fullskala drift. KOSTRAs siktemål er tosidig: • Å frambringe relevant, pålitelig og sammenlignbar styringsinformasjon om kommunenes prioriteringer, produktivitet og dekningsgrader. • Å samordne og effektivisere rutinene og løsningene for utveksling av data, slik at statlige og kommunale myndigheter sikres rask og enkel tilgang til data. Rapporteringshåndboken skal være et hjelpemiddel for å sikre at datautvekslingen mellom kommunene og staten blir mest mulig effektiv, slik at begge parter raskere får tilgang til aktuelle data. By: Krister Eriksen and Ola Wedøe MSc Thesis, Major in Financial Economics Supervisor: Associate Professor Carsten Bienz This thesis was written as a part of the Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration program - Major in Financial Economics. Neither the institution, nor the advisor is responsible for the theories and methods used, or the results and conclusions drawn, through the approval of this thesis. Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how the largest non-financial companies in Norway manage their foreign exchange rate exposure. This is investigated through the use of a survey distributed to a sample the largest non-financial firms in Norway. According to our results, the largest non-financial companies in Norway have a predefined strategy for managing foreign exchange risk, which is defined by the board of directors or by the management in the organisation. The companies’ main motivation for managing foreign exchange risk is to reduce fluctuations in income, costs or cash flow, and short term derivatives are more commonly used than derivatives with a long horizon. They also have a high degree of natural hedging, which is influenced by the number of foreign subsidiaries and the number of countries they are spread across. Those who only use operational hedging techniques have subsidiaries in more countries than those only using financial derivatives and those using both. The companies in the shipping industry use more types of derivatives than the other industries, while companies in the oil and gas industry use less.
