He died on 26 Mar 1725 in Nykøbing Falster, Maribo Amt, Denmark. He married INGEBORG (BIRGITTE) MASCHWEDEL, daughter of Balthasar Christophersen Maschwedel and Anna Marcusdatter Humble. She was born in 1650 in Nykøbing Falster, Maribo Amt, Denmark. She died on 29 Aug 1727 in Nykøbing Falster, Denmark. Generation 2 2. ANDERS JENSEN2 SCHEEL (Jens1) was born about 1641. I 1671 da han var 30 år gl. blev han Guldsmed i Nykøbing Falster, hvor han boede indtil sin død i 1725, 84 år gl. Fra bogen "Danske Guldsmede og deres arbejder gennem 500 Aar" (af Aage Sølver): " I 1685 fandtes der slet ingen guldmager i Maribo, der dog 13 aar senere huser en saadan - Peter Jacobsen - der mulkteres, fordi han arbejdede i daarlig sølv, og det samme kan siges samtid om Guldsmed Anders Jensen (Scheel) i Nykøbing F. (Loosely translated from Danish): Anders Habt. 1641, moving to Nykøbing Falster as goldsmith in 1671, from 1680 member of the merchants guild, mentioned on the tax lists as a very impoverished goldsmith. He gets monopoly 9/10 1705, turnes the business over to his son, Hans Andersen Scheel, in 1713. Dies in 1725, his widow dies in 1727. Did work for the churches in Nykøbing, Falkerslev, Nysted, Stubbekøbing, Vejleby (now in Brahetrolleborg), Taars, Karleby, Lillebrønde, Sønder Kirkeby, Sønder Alslev, Købelev, Majbølle og Slemminge. Anders Jensen Scheel was well known for his beautiful silver work for the churches. In Lolland-Falster Stiftmuseum in Maribo, Lolland one can find some of his work, as well as in "Falsters Minder" in Nykøbing F. Eftersyn fra 11. november i Vejle, solgt 23. november kl. 21.59 Vurdering Kr 4,000 - Hammerslag Kr 2,600 Jørgen Thue Pedersen from Denmark, he has done a lot of deciphering for us, by sheer chance found out that a Silver candy dish with lid made by Anders Jensen Scheel about 1675, just sold in Denmark (Nov. 23, 2006) by internet auction. It was offered by Bruun Rasmussen Kunstauktioner (Art Auctioneer), it was valued at about 4,000 Kroner and sold for 2,600 Kroner. ($ 1.00 = 5.40 Kroner). Am going to try to add some pictures here! Generation 2 (con't) F.Naboe-Nielsen wrote an article about Goldsmiths in Nykøbing F. in which there is a picture of a cup, that was made in 1692 by Anders Jensen Scheel. The silver cup is supposed to be located at "Falsters Minde" in Nykøbing F. There is a full description of the work by Anders Jensen Scheel and several black and white pictures. He married BODIL EBBESDATTER about 1712 in Slangerup Kirke, Frederiksborg Amt, Denmark, daughter of Ebbe Jensen and Anne Clausdatter Ogelby. 5. iii. CHRISTOPHER ANDERSEN SCHEEL was born about 1695 in Nykøbing Falster, Maribo Amt, Denmark. He died on 02 Aug 1744 in Slangerup, Slangerup Sogn, Frederiksborg Amt. He married ANNE MARGRETHE NIELSDATTER GAD on 06 Nov 1731 in Slangerup Kirke, Frederiksborg Amt, Denmark. She was born about 1698.
