Perna - Nascita e sviluppo della forma urbana in età romana nelle città del Piceno e dell’Umbria adriatica NASCITA E SVILUPPO DELLA FORMA URBANA IN ETÀ ROMANA NELLE CITTÀ DEL PICENO E DELL’UMBRIA ADRIATICA ROBERTO PERNA The contribution uses analysis of archaeological records from the main urban sites of the Regio V (Picene) and Regio VI (Umbria) Roman periods referred to the Adriatic coast, aiming to identify how the urban model became established in those territories. However undeniable it may be that several specific historical moments actually carved deep divisions separating them from preceding periods, causing accelerations and evolutions in the development of the urban geography and monumental system of several centres, there is an obvious and significant continuity in progressive acquisition processes of monumental typologies and organization models of urban areas, from the end of the Iron Age to the early Imperial age.
