DOGS LEFT IN PARKED CARS In the event that it becomes necessary to rescue an animal from a parked car on the show grounds or parking areas immediately surrounding the show grounds, Desert Valley Doberman Pinscher Club, Scottsdale Dog Fanciers or Superstition Kennel Club will not be held liable for any damages incurred as a result of rescuing the animal. Furthermore, if the rescue has to be performed by virtue of negligence, the owner, agent or any other person responsible for the rescued animal WILL be subjected to a Bench Show Hearing, as approved by the rules of the AKC.

LIQUOR RULES & REGULATIONS It is against Scottsdale regulations and ordinances for any person or organization to bring upon the premises any alcoholic beverages unless a permit has been purchased from Scottsdale Parks and Recreation. Ticket and fines may be imposed for non-compliance. NO glass containers are allowed on the property.

IMPORTANT There are Bathrooms and Showers available for exhibitors. Any exhibitor found with a dog in bathrooms or showers will NOT be allowed to exhibit and will be subject to action by the SHOW COMMITTEE. A sanitary dump station is available on the grounds.

As the judge’s decision in the above classes is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches judges first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed/Variety by virtue of having won in these classes. The Stud Dog or Brood Bitch must appear in the ring with not more than 3 of the get or produce and be entered in the class. The owner of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch does not need to be the owner of the get or produce. Junior Showmanship is offered at both AM & PM Specialty Shows. Best in Puppy Classes. the first place winner of each of the four puppy classes will compete for Best Puppy. Best in Bred by Exhibitor Classes. the first place winner of each of the Bred by Exhibitor classes will compete for Best Bred by Exhibitor. Best in Veteran Classes. the first place winner of each of the Veteran classes will compete for Best Veteran.

PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES The Sweepstakes is open to all Dobermans that, on the day of the show, will be at least 6 months of age and UNDER 18 MONTHS OF AGE. “Sweepstakes” and “age” division MUST be indicated in the space for Additional Classes on the official AKC entry form. The entry fee for these classes is $18.00. Dogs must also be entered in one of the regular classes at this show. Dogs entered in the Sweepstakes can be shown by anyone: owner, amateur or professional handler. Dogs that have attained their are NOT eligible to be shown in the Sweepstakes.

Division of Entry Money as Prizes: The DVDPC will retain 35% of the total entry fees. The remaining 65% will be distributed as follows: One-half of each net division stake shall be divided one-quarter to the dogs and one-quarter to the bitches as follows:

40% to 1st place in each class 30% to 2nd place in each class 20% to 3rd place in each class 10% to 4th place in each class

In the event of less than four dogs entered in a class, the balance of the percentage will be divided equally among those entered in the class. The first place winners will then compete for the remaining half of the Stakes, to be divided as follow:

Best Puppy in Sweepstakes – 20%, Best Junior in Sweepstakes – 20% Grand Sweepstakes Winner – 60% The Club will retain any unclaimed prize money. VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES The Sweepstakes is open to all Dobermans that, on the day of the show, will be at least 7 years of age and older. “Sweepstakes” and “age” division MUST be indicated in the space for Additional Classes on the official AKC entry form. HOSPITALITY The Desert Valley Doberman Pinscher Club invites all exhibitors to join them on Thursday for a complimentary Continental Breakfast, followed later in the day by a delightful Luncheon. Crating Space The Desert Valley Doberman Pinscher Club has reserved, for the weekend, a 20’ x 40’ crating space available to all exhibitors.

ADDITIONAL RULES 1. Entries must reach the Superintendent, Jack Bradshaw, 5434 East Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles CA, 90022, by Noon, Wednesday, FEBRUARY 11, 2015 PT. Fees should accompany entries. This club and/or its superintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the owner. This club and its superintendents assume no responsibility for the owner or owner's agents entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete, or for entering the same dog twice. 2. Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check and declined credit card. Subsequent returned checks for the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. The returned check or declined credit card MUST BE MADE GOOD by cash or money order BEFORE the dog will be allowed in the ring. 3. Exhibitors' Identification tickets and judging programs will be mailed to the address given on the entry blank. If not received within a reasonable time prior to the show, notify the superintendent. Tickets returned by the Post Office marked 'undeliverable' will be held at the Superintendent's Office. PLEASE BRING YOUR IDENTIFICATION TICKETS TO THE SHOW. 4. During the hours of judging owners are to be on call, and have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly, In order that the judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class. Owners of dogs or the handlers of the dogs alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. This means it is not the responsibility of the ring steward, nor of any agent of the show-giving club to locate any dog, its owner or handler, when the dog's presence is needed in a judging ring. It should be understood by every exhibitor and handler that waiting for dogs to be brought into the ring is a courtesy extended to the owner or handler of the dog. There is no rule of this club nor of The American Kennel Club that requires a judge to wait for an owner or handler to bring his dog into the ring. 5. Trophy cards for prizes will be awarded in the judging rings. In the event of any discrepancy from the published prize list; the superintendent's office should be advised at once. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed. 6. Exhibitors are admonished to make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this premium list. Rule books are available online at www.akc.org. 7. The club, its superintendents or their employees will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, whether the result of accident or other causes and in addition assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by an owner, exhibitor or handler, spectator. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. 8. No grooming tables, pens or exhibitors setups will be allowed in the aisles and all grooming must be done away from the judging ring in areas specified by the club. Clubs are not responsible to loss or injury due to tenting not provided by the Fiesta Cluster. 9. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or judge, barred from competition by action of the Bench Show Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for duplicate entry. There will be a $2.00 fee charged for cancellation of entry prior to closing of entries. 10. Declination of Entries. The Desert Valley Doberman Pinscher clulb may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Kennel Clubs or any official thereof. 11. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. 12. Do not leave any dogs in closed vehicles. 13. Dogs which according to their owners' records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety Competition, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one half hour prior to the start of the earliest judging at the Show. 14. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class after the Closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of the earliest conformation judging or one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the Show, whichever is earlier. 15. These will be “self-cleaning” shows. Cleaning equipment will be provided at various locations. Your help in providing a better show environment is requested and appreciated. 16. Liquor Rules and Regulations. It is against City of Scottsdale regulations and ordinances for any person or organization to bring upon the premises any alcoholic beverages unless a permit has been purchased from Scottsdale Parks and Recreation. Tickets and fines will be imposed for non-compliance. No glass containers are allowed on the property. 17. Exhibitors not abiding by the rules may be subject to a show committee hearing and have their vehicles towed out of the area or ticketed. 18. All rights to advertise, publicize, televise, photograph or otherwise promote this Cluster or any part thereof are vested in each individual club on its show date or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by authorized officers of a particular club. All persons and animals on the Show Site at any time while the shows are in progress do, by attending and/or participating therein, grant to each club the right to photograph, televise, audiotape, or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. 19. Dogs which according to their owners’ records have earned an obedience or rally title after the closing of entries for the show may be moved up to the next class, provided this transfer is made in writing and presented to the superintendent at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. 20. No practicing allowed in rings at any time. 21. Due to safety concerns, the use of retractable/ flexi-leads on the show grounds is not permitted during show hours. All dogs must be on a lead not to exceed six (6) feet in length and under control at all times. 22. Bitches in season are ineligible to compete in trials. To receive a refund, a veterinarian’s letter needs to be received by the Superintendent no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class in the trial. There will be a $2.00 fee charged for bitch in season cancellations.

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS The Show Site will be available to exhibitors at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Dogs must be removed immediately following Best in Show judging on Monday.

DAY OF SHOW PARKING Day of Show Parking fees are at the discretion of WestWorld and are collected at the gate upon arrival. The fee for each automobile space occupied is $5 per day. Vehicles occupying more than one space will be charged and located accordingly. A multi-day pass is available for $20 (vehicles occupying more than one space will also be charged accordingly). Parking attendants will direct exhibitors to park in the designated areas on asphalt & gravel parking lots. NO PARKING OR DRIVING ON THE GRASS. Unloading zone will be provided with a 10-minute time limit. You may NOT take your dogs and equipment to the ring and you may NOT take vehicles on the show grounds. You must unload and immediately park your vehicle. There will be NO REGULAR EXHIBITOR PARKING in RESERVED AREAS or any area designated as an OFFICIAL FIRE ZONE or NO PARKING ZONE. There will be limited handicap day of show parking which will be available on a “first come” basis. Exhibitors not abiding by the rules may be subject to a Show Committee Hearing and have their vehicles towed out of the area or ticketed. GENERATORS & MOTORIZED VEHICLES Power for grooming tents and setups will be provided by the Fiesta Cluster. NO OTHER PORTABLE GENERATORS will be allowed on the polo field. NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES shall be operated in the aisles between rings or within 20 feet of any ring.
