A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. Best Owner-Handled in Show Competition - Thursday & Friday June 10 & 11, 2021 - National Owner-Handled Series The AKC Owner/Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners who are not professional handlers. This series of special competitions will be offered at dog shows across the country. All dogs that are owner/handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers' meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner/Handler eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward's book and the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the competition by an eligible owner. Professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in this competition. The Owner Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes. ! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner Handled Best of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as the Owner-Handled Group. ! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition ineligible and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible undefeated exhibits of the owner sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. ! NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS • THESE SHOWS ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. NO SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED. IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO WEAR A MASK PLEASE DO NOT COME TO OUR SHOWS. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS. • Masks must be worn at all times by everyone over the age of two unless eating, drinking or in your RV or vehicle. Please bring your own mask. Vented Masks, shields and gaiters are not allowed. • Everyone that attends the cluster must sign the waiver that is available in the premium list or online at www.raudogshows.com. You are welcome to bring your own chair, but chairs must not be left unattended. Social distancing will be enforced. • Ringside crating will be available in designated areas only. The area will be available 15 minutes before and after your breed is being judged. Please be mindful of other exhibitors and please adhere to the 15-minute rule. No Grooming will be allowed under the ring tents. • Only the Ring Stewards will have access to the ringside catalog. Please try to know your numbers. • There will be no catalogs available at the rings. Catalogs may be purchased for individual use. Please prepare the list of armband numbers that you need before you visit the steward. • Cooperation with all club members, Event Committee members, RV parking personnel is mandatory. Following instructions and directions is required at all times. • Using rude, abusive, or foul language, or arguing or behaving objectionably against club officials, RV parking personnel will result in that attendee being immediately subject to a Bench Show Hearing and/or being removed from the grounds. NOVICE JUNIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to entry the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year. Competition must exist for Best Junior Handler. RV Parking and Prime Parking No cones or markers are to be used in the parking areas. Overnight RV parking on the show grounds by reservation is $50.00 each day per vehicle. No electrical hookups are available. Reservations must be made with Penny Kretchmer (**see form below). Gate will be open Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. for RVs and will reopen at 6:00 A.M. Thursday and Friday. There will be a limited number of Prime Parking spaces by the rings for vehicles available by reservation. This allows exhibitors to leave equipment overnight. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is Limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list, if the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on the entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 14, Section 3.). 5.
