Access route Master Plan MILITARY MUSEUM 1/2000 We propose a design aimed with these targets: Office, Facility 1. The museum needs to harmonize with the fortress to become a unified entity. The two parts will protect each other. The museum will serve as making the Fortress alive again by attracting Museum Area visitors to come and experience the historical story, the grandiose landscape at the fortress. 2. The museum must not break the connection between the fortress and the surrounding land- scape created by a long period of time. Meanwhile, the museum must strengthen the connec- tion. 3. To minimize impact of construction work on the sensitive geology of the site. Based on the targets, our design is a small attachment into the Fortress using two main materi- als: same stone to the Fortress, one-way mirror; So the museum will become a part of the For- tress, a decoration which can reflect the ruins, majestic landscape. It will make the Fortress be- 2 come an intensely interesting museum with these themes: Virtual Reality Area, Festival corridor, Traditional exhibition Area, and Panoramic view Terrace where visitors can not only enjoy the great view of the site, but also do camping to stay over night among the ruins to have a feeling Site analysis of being immersed in nature that they could never have before.
