The Hungarian acarological literature from 1801 to 2010, excluding medical sciences (e.g. epidemiological, clinical acarology) is reviewed. Altogether 1500 articles by 437 authors are included. The publications gathered are presented according to authors listed alphabetically. The layout follows the references of the paper of Horváth as appeared in the Folia entomologica hungarica in 2004. INTRODUCTION The primary aim of our compilation was to show all the (scientific) works of Hungarian aca- he acarological literature attached to Hungary rologists published in foreign languages. Thereby T and Hungarian acarologists may look back to many Hungarian papers, occasionally important a history of some 200 years which even with works (e.g. Balogh, 1954) would have gone un- European standards can be considered rich. The present volume includes 226 titles by researchers from 39 countries. In these publications, 90 new species and genera are described. The ma- jority of articles concern taxonomy (31%), ecology (20%), , faunistics (18%), the bee-mite Varroa (6%), and the poultry red mite Dermanyssus (3%). Please help us keep the literature database as complete as possible by sending us reprints or copies of all your papers on mesostigmatic mites, or, if this is not possible, complete refer- ences so that we can include them in the list. The ecological research was made in 2001-2003, in Bucegi Massif, in three natural forest ecosystems with Picea abies, Abies alba and Fagus sylvatica. In order to show the influence of some environmental factors on the species diversity of the investigated soil mites, the following abiotic parameters at soil level were analysed: temperature, humidity and pH. The species diversity (with Shannon-Wiener index) and the equitability were calculated. Taking account of the bio-edaphical conditions, the studied soil mite diversity had a various evolution. In spatial dynamics, the ecosystem with Abies alba offered better conditions for a species diversity (78 identified species), in comparison with ecosystem with Picea abies (67 identified species), where, due to a high altitude and to the big slope, this parameter had the most decreased values. In the ecosystem with Fagus sylvatica, the diversity showed the presence of 71 species. At the soil level, the litter and fermentation layer was a favorable habitat for development of the soil mite populations. In temporal dynamics, these parameters had recorded seasonal fluctuations. All these aspects are due to the different bioedaphical conditions, specific to each studied natural ecosystem. Résumé. Cette étude écologique a été réalisée au cours de la période 2001-2003, dans le Massif de Bucegi, dans trois écosystèmes naturels avec Picea abies, Abies alba et Fagus sylvatica. -

Ciencia Forense, 12/2015: 91–112 ISSN: 1575-6793 ACAROLOGÍA FORENSE Marta Inés Saloña-Bordas1 María Alejandra Perotti2 Resumen: Los ácaros son artrópodos quelicerados muy diversos, adapta- dos a un amplio espectro de hábitats y dietas pero con una elevada especi- ficidad. Son considerados importantes indicadores de condiciones ambien- tales y de impactos producidos por el ser humano por lo que nos pueden aportar información valiosa sobre el entorno donde se ha encontrado un cadáver, la ruta por la que haya podido discurrir una mercancía y otros as- pectos aplicados de la ciencia forense. Por ello, no es de extrañar la presen- cia de especies adaptadas a entornos cadavéricos y otros restos orgánicos. El propio Jean Pierre Mégnin, veterinario forense considerado pionero en el desarrollo de la entomología forense, fue consciente de su valor como in- dicadores forenses y dedicó una de las fases de descomposición cadavérica a estos pequeños organismos. Dado el creciente interés del colectivo foren- se en incluirlos en los informes periciales, presentamos un protocolo de actuación para la recolección, conservación y custodia de los ácaros de in- terés forense.
