Port Klang . Shorter travelling time by rail from Port Klang – Bangsue takes 60 hours while sea transport takes 5-7 days. 15 SHUTTLE TRAIN SERVICE BETWEEN JB SENTRAL – WOODLANDS, SG . introduced on 1st July 2015 with 14 trips daily . Current frequency 26 trips daily . Distance of 1.1 km . 5-minutes journey compared to 30-60 minutes by road on Causeway . Train capacity: 320 pax . Average daily passengers: 5,900 pax . Fare: . General Bennett, however, believing that he might soon be called upo n for assistance on the western front, had instituted on 19th December a series of reconnaissances along the line from Gemas to Muar . By 1st January a plan had formed in his mind to obtain the release of his 22nd Brigade from the Mersing-Jemaluang area and to use it to hold the enem y near Gemas while counter-attacks were made by his 27th Brigade on the Japanese flank and rear in the vicinity of Tampin, on the main road near the border of Malacca and Negri Sembilan . Although he realised tha t further coastal landings were possible, he thought of these in terms of small parties, and considered that the enemy would prefer to press forwar d as he was doing by the trunk road rather than attempt a major movement by coastal roads, despite the fact that the coastal route Malacca-Muar- Batu Pahat offered a short cut to Ayer Hitam, far to his rear .

Under the so called Perak Amanjaya Development Plan, some of the things that we have tried to do are the same things that I believe many others here are concerned about: first, balanced development and economic distribution between the urban and rural areas by focusing on developing small towns; second, poverty eradication regardless of race or religion so that no one remains on the fringes of society or is left behind economically; and, third, youth empowerment. Under the first one, the state identifies viable small- and medium-size companies which can operate from small towns. These companies are to be working closely with the state government to boost the economy of the respective areas.

CAP is a major global institution in planning and is playing an increasingly significant role in the worldwide promotion of planning as a fundamental part of governance for sustainable human settlement. CAP currently represents over 40 000 planners from 27 countries throughout the Commonwealth including African, Asian, Australasian and Caribbean countries. Drawing on examples and observations of planners and practitioners from Commonwealth members the session ex- amined urban land use and territorial planning in the context of rapid urbanisation and climate change, and looked at its application in the Pacific Region. The presentations illustrated urban and territorial land use planning projects and tools that are being applied and developed to plan for land use changes in the context of coastal, tropical and island nations facing climate change and urbanisation rates that stretch land and infrastructure resources. Presentations were followed by a panel discussion on the key challenges, and then group discussion on what tools and actions can we use to improve, strengthen plans and planning to achieve sustainable, positive outcomes for our land use and urban areas, whilst acknowledging and responding to climate change by building resilience in our urban settlements.

Fine and early. 2 D2 on 3 Perak stamps, SG 61, 64 and 70 dated MR/92 to JA/ 95. Also D3 £35 on 9 items and range of values including 3 blocks of 4 and pair with dates from 19/JY/93 to 3/FE/04. A nice group. 3 Ipoh - Straits 5c, SG 65 cancelled D3 24/No/93 on mourning cover to £40 Hamburg, 24/ NO/93. Prior to acceptance by the UPU of Malay States stamps in 1899, all foreign mail had to be paid in Straits stamps. Transit marks of Taiping and Penang on reverse are dated 25/NO. Some age staining but looks quite good for its age.     Majlis Masyarakat Sivil (MMS) Berama Pertubuhan Badan Bukan Kerajaan (NGO) di bawah Jawatankuasa Local Agenda 21 di seluruh PBT negeri Perak telah mula diperkenalkan penubuhannya pada tahun 2010 dengan persetujuan Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri (MMK) bil 1637 bertarikh 13.10.2010 MMS ini diletakkan di bawah Jawatankuasa Local Agenda 21 dengan bertujuan memperkasakan pelaksanaan program-program di bawah Local Agenda 21 di semua PBT negeri Perak. Disamping itu, penubuhan MMS ini juga berperanan untuk mengeratkan lagi hubungan di antara kerajaan dan orang awam termasuk NGO dalam menambahbaik mutu perkhidmatan yang ditawarkan kepada rakyat. MMS tidak mempunyai kuasa eksekutif sebaliknya menyokong serta membantu jawatankuasa utama yang lain dari segi sumbangan idea dan pandangan. 1. Nevertheless, there is still a lack of documented data regarding the magnitude of CHIKV exposure in the Malaysian population. The aim of this study was to determine the extent of chikungunya virus infection in healthy Malaysian adults residing in outbreak-free locations. Methods: A cross sectional study of chikungunya (CHIK) seroprevalence was carried out in 2009 amongst The Malaysian Cohort participants living in four states (Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan). A total of 945 participants were randomly identified for the study. Potential risk factors for CHIK infection were determined via questionnaires, and IgG antibodies against CHIK were detected by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Logistic regression identified risk factors associated with CHIK seropositivity, while geographical information system was used for visual and spatial analysis. Results: From the 945 serum samples tested, 5.9% was positive for CHIK IgG. Being male, Malay, rural occupancy and Negeri Sembilan residency were identified as univariate predictors for CHIK seropositivity, while multivariate analysis identified being male and rural occupancy as risk factors.
