List of participants 1 Executive summary The annual meeting of the European Association of Peace Operations Training Centres (EAPTC) was organised by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and the International Security Sector Advisory Team of the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF/ISSAT) from 12-13 March 2014, in Stans, Switzerland. The meeting brought together over 40 participants from various European training institutions. The meeting provided members the opportunity to share information on their ongoing and planned activities. The main focus of the meeting was to discuss lessons learned and challenges in the design and delivery of Peace Support Operations (PSO) trainings. Based on the sessions, the key lessons learned from PSO trainings include: International cooperation is a force multiplier: The value of training together and sharing the burden not only reduces costs but also enhances learning and coordination; The value of adopting a comprehensive approach to training: Adopting a comprehensive approach to training by including police, military and civilian components can lead to effective learning and foster future cooperation on the ground.

Tri Ne s. jaNseN Sosialistisk Ungdom Brudd etter brudd s osialistisk Ungdom (sU) er ungdomsorganisasjonen til sosialistisk Venstreparti. ifølge sin egen selvforståelse er sU en revolusjonær sosia- listisk og feministisk organisasjon som kjemper for et sosialistisk folke- styre i Norge. sU ble stiftet i februar 1975, etter at ungdomspartiene til sosialistisk Folkeparti (sF), arbeiderbevegelsens informasjonskomité mot norsk medlemskap i eF (aiK), Demokratiske sosialister (Ds) og Norges Kommunistiske Parti (NKP) siden 1973 hadde snust på mulig- heten for et felles ungdomsforbund samtidig som deres moderpartier hadde etablert sosialistisk Valgforbund. Da partiene sF, aiK-Ds og enkeltmedlemmer fra NKP senere i 1975 gikk sammen og dannet sosia- listisk Venstreparti (sV), besluttet sU seg for å være bare sVs ungdoms- organisasjon. Denne artikkelen trekker forhistorien enda lenger tilbake og prøver å vise at dagens sU har sin politiske og organisatoriske start i begynnelsen av 1960-årene. artikkelen er for øvrig et første forsøk på å skrive en samlet fremstilling av sUs historie. Kildesituasjonen har vært en utfor- dring da kildematerialet er fragmentert. Kun noe materiale fra ungdoms- organisasjonen har vært bevart gjennom moderpartienes arkiver, men spesielt for perioden fra 1980-årene og fremover har det ikke hittil vært bevart noe eget samlet arkiv.1 SF og Ungdomskomiteen i 1961 ble sosialistisk Folkeparti dannet hovedsakelig av en gruppe ekskludert fra arbeiderpartiet. i sFs vedtekter stod det at «Partiet består av bostedslag og ungdomslag» som ble sett på som partiets «grunn- organisasjoner».2 Partiet nedsatte videre en ungdomskomité som skulle 87 a rbeiDerhisTorie 2011 sørge for at alle sF-lag rundt om i landet oppnevnte en kontaktperson for ungdomsarbeidet.
