    ‘LOVE IN THE FORECAST’ Cast Bios CINDY BUSBY (Leah) – Cindy Busby has been making waves in Hollywood both on the big and small screens. Growing up in Montreal, Canada, Busby always dreamed of becoming an actress. From the time she was a child, she loved performing for an audience, and throughout her elementary school and high school years, she devoted herself to every theater school production. Upon graduating from high school, Busby was accepted into the Professional Theater Program at Dawson College in Montreal and was admitted from amongst hundreds of applicants. The rigorous, three-year training allowed Busby to demonstrate her professionalism, hard work and devotion and was presented with an award of academic excellence. Busby notes her first passion in the business was theater as she honed her acting skills on the stage while in school and right after graduation. In 2005, Busby crossed into television and film and was given her first lead in the story of the Canadian medical hero Norman Bethune in the television series “Bethune.” She filmed in rural China for two and-a-half months and the series attracted several million viewers. In 2006, Busby played a supporting lead in the Lifetime original film “A Life Interrupted” opposite Lea Thompson and landed a regular role on the series “Heartland.” Cast as Ashley Stanton, a rich, self-righteous, competitive horseback rider, the series took off and has been nominated for several Gemini Awards as well as winning a Director’s Guild of Canada prize, all while becoming one of the most popular shows on Canadian television as well as syndicated in over 81 countries around the world.

Los Angeles, CA — Sundance Institute today announced the 11 original projects selected for its third annual Episodic Story Lab. The spec pilots, which range from dystopian sci-fi to historical comedy, explore themes of personal and social identity, family dysfunction, political extremism, and the limits of human understanding. The Episodic Story Lab is the centerpiece of the Institute’s year-round support program for emerging television writers. During the Lab, the 13 selected writers (the “Fellows”) will participate in individual and group creative meetings, writers’ rooms, case study screenings, and pitch sessions to further develop their pilot scripts with guidance from accomplished showrunners, producers and television executives.     ‘NATURE OF LOVE’ Cast Bios EMILIE ULLERUP (Katie) – Born in Copenhagen, Denmark to a diplomatic family, Emilie Ullerup grew up all over the world. After graduating, Ullerup knew she had to pursue her ever- growing appetite for acting. She made the choice to leave her native Denmark to move to Vancouver, Canada, where she attended the Vancouver Film School. Post film school, Ullerup managed to secure a top agent and was sent out on her first real-life audition to book at real-life job. And she did. This out-of-the-gates hot streak continued that same year when she booked leading roles in two television shows: “jPod” and the worldwide sci-fi success, “Sanctuary.” “jPod” garnered her Best Female Lead in a Dramatic Series at the Leo Awards, which celebrate excellence in film and television. Ullerup continued her journey and enjoyed versatility in her work bouncing between genres of drama, horror, action and comedy. She spent three seasons on the hit show “Arctic Air” as the lovably temperamental Swedish pilot, Astrid – a role which earned her multiple nominations for Leo Awards and UBCP Awards over several seasons of the series. Ullerup is best known for her role as playwright and bookstore owner Bree O’Brien in Hallmark Channel’s acclaimed family drama, “Chesapeake Shores.” She has recently been seen in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Original “Christmas Bells Are Ringing,” the Netflix feature film, “True Memoirs of an International Assassin,” opposite Kevin James, and Life on the Line, opposite John Travolta and Kate Bosworth. Her other credits include “Battlestar Galactica” (NBC), “Supernatural” (The CW) and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries).
