Track cycling is the same type of riding as performed by Chris Hoy at the Olympics. This is a great session for building confidence with all students managing to ride near the top of the track by the end: “Initial thoughts of “oh my god we can never do that” were soon replaced by “I do not believe we were able to do that.” Despite the incline of the slope no one was incapable (after a few training moments) of attaining the top of the slope at the end of the session. The groups of mixed abilities all had a successful time. All sessions were broken down into easy manageable tasks and the training given was of a very high standard. The students were all stoked by the experience and on the whole expressed a wish to do it again. A very worthwhile experience.” Ian Peabody, Lecturer. Indoor Surfing LC Swansea Catering students had a blast on the indoor BOARDRIDER at the LC Swansea. These sessions involve a mixture of body boarding and surfing with all equipment provided. “The feedback that I received from the students was that the surfing was an excellent activity and that as an enrichment activity it definitely added to their experiences at Swansea College.” Ioan Lodwig, Course Tutor.
