Situation Llangattock Court is in the small hamlet of Penpergwm which lies within the Usk Valley a few miles to the south east of Abergavenny. The Gatehouse This is the entrance to Abergavenny Castle, it is called the Gatehouse. It is a barbican gatehouse . A barbican was a wall or tower which protected a castle from attack.
