Mayie & Jean Sorhouet 3 Basque Club Aldizkaria 2012 Negua Claude Berhouet Lagun Ona Award Longtime directors, Mary Curutchet, Jean-Pierre Elissetche and Mayte Ocafrain were honored at last year’s picnic for their continued service to the Basque Club. Mary has served on the board of directors for the past fifteen years and has worked the Basque Club events for over the past twenty-five years. Mayte Ocafrain has served on the board of directors for the past twenty-five years, was the secretary for nine years, has sung in the Elgarrekin Choir since its inception in 1979, is a former Zazpiak Bat dancer, and has worked Basque Club events for over thirty years. Jean-Pierre Elissetche has served on the board of directors for twenty-five years, is a Past-President (1989-1991), has served as Sergeant at Arms since 1995, is a former Zazpiak Bat dancer and klika performer, is a current NABO delegate, and has worked Basque Club events for over twenty-five years.
