Hope that’s clear. Yet again, we think it’s an interesting selection and we thank you for your attention and ongoing support. Good luck! MIN. BID FEBRUARY RARE SOUL AUCTION A JOHNNY ROBINSON GONE BUT NOT OKEH 4-7307 VG++ 200 FORGOTTEN WD Robinson made three singles for the famous Okeh label, of which only this one could really be deemed to be ‘Northern’. He calls in Mike Terry on a Don Mancha/Freddie Gorman song, so – probably not recorded in Detroit, but with all the sentiment of that great soul city. Never booted, it would be a tremendous addition to a ‘thinking’ deejay set. Have listed as VG++, but really, only one small mark takes it away from mint. B SEPTEMBER JONES I’M COMING HOME KAPP 802 WD VG++ 200 Talk of the Motor City (item A) leads us to this Detroit gem, a Pied Piper Production leased out to New York’s Kapp label. Quite a bit is known of the recording details of this one, i.e., October 17th 1966 with many of the Funk Brothers on instrumentation and the Andantes on backing vocals but little has ever been found out about the artist herself.
