These toys are not only powered by a child's imagination, but a great majority of these action toys are also powered by batteries. Dolls & Play sets Subcategories: Toy Wonders is a toy importer and toy wholesaler of children's toys. Dolls have been a mainstay in the toy industry. If we look back in history, dolls go way, way back --even before recorded history. Because of the longevity and nurturing appeal, every toy distributor and retailer will have some representation here. However, since this category is very focused on only one gender, it is vital that you focus your attention here and understand your customer base well; after all, you are only targeting half the children's population with this category. Knowing the answers to these questions will make it easier to select the items for his category: 1. In terms of race, what type of people do you service? 2. What type of space can you allot towards this category (e.g. wall, shelf, or counter)? 3. What price points do you need to be at? animated & musical dolls big dolls counter display dolls fashion doll accessories fashion dolls gift sets play sets rack dolls back to top Educational Toys & Musical Toys Subcategories: Parents of all types have always placed extra value on toys that teach. Almost all the educational toys that we market are geared towards adults and children over the age of three. Many ambitious parents push the learning envelope with their children. For those toys geared toward infants and toddlers, we've put the toy's specific age recommendations in their descriptions. For marketability and safety reasons, these age recommendations should be strictly followed. arts & crafts blocks & building games infant & toddler musical Navystar potpourri teaching & learning telephones, clocks & more back to top Sports Subcategories: Toy Wonders is not just in the toy wholesale business but offers at wholesale a variety of Sports balls and sport play sets. • Gremlin Story, by Marc Goldblatt Classic-Technologies.Com
Gremlin Story, by Marc Goldblatt Classic-Technologies.com On February 1, 2016, I had an hour for lunch and I needed to ship out a Classic Technologies fuse box that day. However, I was out of paper preventing me from printing out the manuals I include with each sale. The plan was to buy paper, run home, print out the documents, close-up the package, and bring it to the post office. The first place I stopped surprisingly didn’t have paper so I ended up cutting through my neighborhood to go to another store. I happened to drive by a house that was having a detached garage being torn down and saw an old filthy car parked on the side of the road. It was a 1974 AMC Gremlin with a 232 inline six motor. I continued my errand and rushed back to look at the car. I saw that it had 48k miles, no rust, and was all original. I asked if it was for sale and was told yes, and they would take anything for it. They wanted it gone as soon as possible; clearly not knowing the value of a classic car in this condition. It had been parked since 1985 and the motor was frozen, one of the wheels was frozen and there were no keys or title to the car. First I offered $500 and they reiterated, we will take anything for it. I went to the ATM and returned asking if they would take $250; and they said $300 and its yours. The deal was done and the whole time I was thinking what am I going to tell my wife because I have two other classic cars and one that is still not finished after a few years of working on it.

  • 1968 AMC AMX Rally Car PRICE £100,000
1968 AMC AMX Rally Car PRICE £100,000 ABOUT THIS CAR IDEAL FOR USE ON: Flying Scotsman, Himalayan Challenge, Trans America, Rally Round Africa, Paris to Amsterdam, The 4th Alpine Trial, Slartibartfast, Maharaja Marathon, Peking to Paris, Flight of the Condor Rally Preparation Services is pleased to offer this 1968 AMC AMX classic car for sale. This long-distance endurance rally car was stripped to a bare shell before being purpose built for the 2016 Peking to Paris Motor Challenge, a now famous endurance rally. There is no doubt that in the right hands, this is a potential rally winner. AMC (American Motor Corporation) was formed by the merger of Nash Kelvinator (as in fridges) and the Hudson Motor Co. in 1954 and soon competed with the big three despite being a much smaller company. Innovative engineering such as tandem master cylinders and manufacturing practices such as shared componentry helped the company compete along with the far-sighted purchase of Jeep. A largely unsuccessful merger with Renault followed the eventual absorption by the Chrysler Corporation which phased out the AMC brand by the late 1980s. The AMX was a mix of sports car and muscle car. Production ran for just three years from 1968 to 1970 and was unique in being the only steel constructed two seater car made in America at the time and voted ‘Best Engineered Car of the Year’ in 1969 and 1970 by the American Society of Automotive Engineers. Rally preparation includes a bespoke roll-cage which follows modern practice of reinforcing the bodyshell and suspension pick up points.

We are dedicated to serving others through charitable events and activities that reflect positively on the Fallbrook community. A Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America About This Month’s Cover See the story about Bob Nixon elsewhere in this issue... The AMC Gremlin (also American Motors Gremlin) is an American subcompact automobile introduced in 1970, manufactured and marketed in a single, two-door body style in America (1970- 1978) by American Motors Corporation (AMC) — as well as in Mexico (1974-1978) by AMC’s Vehículos Automotores Mexicanos (VAM) subsidiary. Featuring a shortened Hornet platform and bodywork with a pronounced, almost vertical tail, the Gremlin was classified as an economy car by 1970’s U.S. standards. It competed with the Chevrolet Vega and Ford Pinto, as well as imported cars that included the Volkswagen Beetle and Toyota Corolla. The small domestic automaker marketed the Gremlin as “the first American-built import”. The Gremlin reached a total production of 671,475 over a single generation — and was superseded by a (thoroughly) restyled variant, the AMC Spirit. Designed to look either “cute or controversial - depending on one’s viewpoint ... for many, it seemed perfect for the free-thinking early 1970’s.” American Motors executives apparently felt confident enough to not worry that the Gremlin name might have negative connotations. Time magazine noted two definitions for gremlin: “Defined by Webster’s as ‘a small gnome held to be responsible for malfunction of equipment.’ American Motors’ definition: ‘a pal to its friends and an ogre to its enemies.’” The car’s cartoon-inspired mascot was marketed for product differentiation and was intended to be memorable to consumers.

AMC straight-6 engine 1 AMC straight-6 engine The American Motors Corporation (AMC) straight-6 family of engines was used in AMC passenger cars and Jeep vehicles from 1964 through 2006. 195.6 American Motors' first straight-six engine was the 195.6 cu in (unknown operator: u'strong' L). It was produced from 1958 through 1965 in both overhead valve (OHV) and flathead (L-head) side-valve versions. Sometimes referred to as the 196 engine, this engine was originally designed by Nash in the 1930s as a flathead, and redesigned as an OHV engine in 1956. The flathead version was discontinued for 1956–1957, but reemerged in 1958 as the economy engine for the "new" Rambler American. When the engine was changed to an OHV configuration the water pump was moved from the left side of the engine (driven by a shaft extending from the back of the generator) to the front above the timing chain. When the flathead model was reintroduced it also received the new water pump. Equipped with such high quality parts as forged crankshafts and connecting rods, these engines earned a reputation for remarkable durability. The flathead, however, was prone to the typical flathead problem of overheating under sustained heavy load. This was from the hot exhaust traveling through the cylinder block to the exhaust manifold. American Motors introduced a die-cast aluminum block version of the OHV 195.6 cu in (unknown operator: u'strong' L) engine in 1961. It was produced through 1964. This engine used cast-iron cylinder liners and a cast-iron head.
