Name: Seth Williams First year working for TFN.

Seth originally applied for a job at the Youth Centre, but ended up trying out TFN’s summer student placement program, offered through the department of Culture and Education.

Seth says he’s also been able to “I don’t necessarily think this summer job affects my choices for the learn about the cultural part of the future. I look at it as a way to gain knowledge in general. I aspire to Natural Resources department and work with kids or in therapy in the future.” how it relates to fishing and conservation. Check out the Community Notice for upcoming student profiles. BICYCLE and Skateboard SAFETY – Before your head out ask yourself Am I wearing my helmet? Is it too small or too big? Do I have my chin strap buckled up?

Can I be seen? Do I know the appropriate hand signals?

Am I wearing appropriate clothing? (Not too loose so it does not get caught in the chain) Is everything on my bike working and appropriately set up? (Breaks, wheels, handlebars, seat) Why is this important? To protect your head and avoid any injuries while keeping you safe. ** If you have any questions the ICBC website provides great answers http://www.icbc.com/road-safety/teaching/Documents/bike-smarts.pdf BE SEEN…..STAY SAFE Questions or comments please contact Constable Mike Grandia at [email protected]

Dear residents,

Please advised that Ravcon Civil Constructors will be installing the concrete parking curbs beginning July 15th. These curbs delineate the travel lanes from the parking lanes in your neighborhood.

The attached sketch indicates where the parking curbs are being installed (in red). The homes on Hawk Lane that are directly impacted by the construction of the curb will have access to their driveways via a road plates.

Please obey all ‘no parking’ signs, traffic signs, and traffic control personnel. There will be adequate parking maintained throughout the rest of the neighborhood, and we will continue to do our best to minimize impacts to residents and traffic.

We expect to complete this phase of work by Friday July 26th.

Please continue to watch for our staff as well as machinery and trucks during construction activities.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation.
