Urban Brands Asset Management Limited (UrB) is a permanent capital and corporate finance entity focused on raising and managing capital invested in real estate development and assets. The company is part of a group founded in 2012 that includes hospitality and commercial real estate development, hospitality operations and asset management/capital markets. UrB enjoys a unique market position as a hotel brand that develops for itself.

The company’s main revenue streams include:

UNIQUE EXPERIENCE Urban Brands core team has over one hundred and fifty years of combined experience in structuring and executing commercial real estate developments and hotel operations, both in Africa and the United States,. Group developments and operations have consistently met investor hurdles and project KPIs. Affiliate company The Urban Hotels + Lofts is a wholly-owned operator of boutique-style, international-class business hotels and long- stay accommodation. The group currently operates The Urban Hotel Ndola (Ndola, Zambia) and The Urban Express Lusaka.

COMPANY STRUCTURE

The affairs of Urban Brands AM are directed by a five member board of directors chaired by a non-executive Director while implementation and operations of the board’s decision is managed and coordinated by the Chief Executive Officer and management.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS The five member Board constitutes three non-executive and two executive Directors. The Chairperson is selected from among the non- executive Directors.

The three non-executive board members also lead the boards’ sub-committees: Corporate Governance Committee, Investment Committee and Audit committee.

Christopher Jannou, Group CEO

New York City native Christopher Jannou is a award-winning developer of hospitality and real estate projects throughout the US, Africa, Latin American and the Caribbean. His projects have won international design, Food + Beverage and advertising awards. They have been featured on CNN, the New York Times, MTV, Business Journal and other international press and media. His Manhattan located French Restaurant Metropol was voted Best Bistro in downtown Manhattan 2005. Along with his US investments, Jannou’s companies are presently involved in high margin, high growth sectors in sub-Saharan Africa including commercial real estate development and hospitality; specifically hotels and corporate serviced apartments. Jannou is a recognized development expert in frontier markets; his book ‘The Internationalists: Globalization, the Age of Information and the Developing World Ascent’ is a sweeping look at the business in the age of connected-consumerism.

Paul Zyambo, CEO

Paul is a capital markets expert with an emphasis in real estate investment, development, and portfolio management. He has over seventeen years’ experience in real estate capital raising, structuring, development and property management. Paul spent thirteen years in the United States where he earned his practical experience at Morgan Stanley,/Discover Financial Services where he participated in construction, structuring and distribution of Real Estate Investment Trust (REITs). He eventually joined Edward Jones Investments where he managed a $35 million portfolio of commercial real estate assets. In 2015, became CEO of Aflife Properties Limited based in Lusaka, Zambia, where he oversaw a portfolio of over $50 million in market value. Paul holds United States Capital Markets certifications and operating licenses.
