USC Bookstore Custom Sash Guide

STEP 1: CHOOSE A ​ ● Go to http://pridesash.com/usc to start. The matte polypoppin sash will already be ​ ​ selected by default. Note that custom sashes have a base price of $75. Click “Next.”

STEP 2: COLORS AND MATERIALS ​ ● Add an optional tip to the bottom of your sash for $12. Click “Next.”

STEP 3: CUSTOMIZE ​ ● Now you get to customize your sash however you would like. ● Match the numbers on the side menus with the images on the sash for examples of different features available to you. ● Scroll down to the corresponding numbered sections below to see details of each feature. ● After you finish customizing your sash, click “Next” to continue.

(1) Year and Design ● Graduation year can be changed with the drop down if necessary and is seen on the left-hand side as “CLASS OF 20XX.” ● “Logo” and “Shield” will toggle the right-hand design.

(2) Text

● You get 8 letters in the sash customization price. Each additional letter will cost $3. ● Use the arrow buttons to change the text alignment direction. ● Examples of each alignment option is shown below:

● Use drop down menu to change the font of your text. ● Available fonts are shown below with sample text on the left and font name on the right.

● Use the Font Size slider to change text size.

(3) USC Preset Text ● Choose from a bank of preset text including majors, school names, honors, etc. ● Each additional letter over the 8 included in customization price costs $3. ● A sample of available choices is shown below:

(4) Greek Letters

● Include up to 3 Greek Letters ($3 per letter) for your sorority/ and up to 2 letters for your . ● Select “None” in the drop down for any unneeded characters. ● Use the Scale slider to adjust the size of characters. Chapter letters stay the same size. ● Use the Direction buttons to change the orientation of the letters.

(5) Greek Crest ● Choose from a bank of Greek Crests at $16 per piece. ● A sample of available choices is shown below:

(6) Logo/Seal ● Logos and seals cost $16 per piece. ● Logos include a variety of different images from school names, military branch logos, Helenes, The Spirit of Troy, and many more. ● Available seals include military branch seals and a few miscellaneous USC seals.

(7) Flag ● Add a flag to your sash for $16. ● Options include numerous country flags, the California flag, and the LGBT flag. ● A sample of available flags is shown below:

(8) Symbol ● Symbols cost $16 per piece. ● Options include a variety of motifs. A sample of available symbols is shown below:

(9) User Logo

● You may choose to upload your own image to add to your sash. ● Click Upload File and a window will pop up for you to choose your image file. Select the image file and hit open. Your image should appear on your sash for you to arrange. ● Please note the logo itself costs $16, but there is also a one-time $100 setup fee for digitizing the logo.

STEP 4: FINALIZE ​

● Choose from the add-ons seen above. Sash pockets are included for your custom sash. ● Clear cover cases are available for $15 to display your sash. ● USC Alumni Pillows are available for $40. ● If you would like either, change the number in the “Add” box to whatever quantity you wish to purchase. If you do not want these add-ons, keep the number at 0. ● Click “Continue” to exit from the add-ons screen.

● When you reach this page, you can see an itemized list of your custom add-ons and the prices for each. If everything looks good, click “Next.”

● From the product summary page, you will see the sash you just created. ● If you want to change something on your sash, you can click the “Edit” button to go back to the editor. This is your last chance to make changes to your design. The design is finalized once saved to your cart. ● You may “duplicate and modify” the sash if you want to make more than one of the exact same sash or one with minor changes. This feature will create a new sash cloned from the original that you can make edits on. ● If you need to create an entirely new and different sash, click “Add New Sash” and it will take you back to Step 1 for you to start from scratch. ● If you create a sash you no longer want, you can delete it by clicking the X on the right of the sash. ● Once you are happy with your sash(es), click “Save to Cart.”

FINAL STEP: CHECKOUT ​

● After you save your sash to cart, it will bring you to your Cart. To pay, click “Checkout.”

● In to pay for your sash, you must either log in to an existing account or create a new account. ● All payment for sashes is done online through Pride Sash’s website.

● Enter your billing address on the left. ● You may choose to ship your sash to the USC Bookstore for pick up or to enter your shipping address to ship to yourself ($15 shipping fee applies).

● Enter your card information then click “Continue.”

● Review all information to ensure it is correct then click “Submit Order.”

You are finished creating and paying for your order. There are no additional steps for you to take unless you are picking up your sash from the Bookstore.

After you submit your order, it will take up to six weeks for your custom sash to be embroidered.

If you chose to ship to the USC Bookstore, you will receive an email when your sash is ready to pick up. Please come to the Graduation Counter on the third floor with picture ID to pick up your order. If no one is available at the counter, feel free to show your confirmation email to any associate for assistance.
