Fortnight Focus  Events  Education  Research  Extension  General Events Membership Drive Sri Chiranjiv Choudary, IFS, Vice-Chancellor & Ex-officio Secre- tary to Govt. of A.P inaugurated the Membership Drive programme of Society for Promotion of Horticulture, Regional Chapter A.P at university campus Venkataramannagudem on 29.09.2018. All the University officials and all the staff members of CoH, HRS, KVK, PHTRS, V.R.Gudem and PG students attended the programme.

MoU Dr.Y.S.R.Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Society for Employment Generation and Enterprise Development in (SEEDAP) on 17.09.2018.

Spot Counseling

Spot Counseling for Diploma in Horticultural Polytechnic for Gov- ernment and affiliated colleges was held at University campus, Venkataramannagudem on 26.09.2018

Education Anti Ragging Awareness Programme

Antiragging awareness programme was organized by CoH, Venkataramannagudem on 29.09.2018. Sri.K.Vanisree, Chairman cum Senior Civil Judge, Tadepalligudem, Sri.M.S. Karimulla, Principal Jr Civil Judge, Sri K. Vasudeva Rao, AJFCM and Smt. Mohammad Ishrath Fathima, Additional Junior civil judge attended as guest speakers and delivered messages on “AP Ragging prohibi- tion Act, 1997” Legal Services Act and Domestic Violence Act, 2005 rules and regulations. All senior students have taken anti ragging pledge in front of all judges and staff members. Dr T. Suseela, Assoc Prof (Hort.) has co-ordinated the programme under the guidance of Dr.K.Uma Jyothi, Associ- ate Dean.

An ‘Anti Ragging Awareness camp’ was organized at CoH, Anantha- rajupeta on 25-09-2018, Sri A. Venkatarama Raju, Bar Associate, Rly Koduru and several advocates and also Sri Venkateshwarlu, SI, Rly Kodur attended the meeting. They briefly explained the laws, rules and regulations to be followed to prevent the menace of ragging in the campus to the students. In this program all staff and students have participated. Dr. VNP Sivaramakrishna, OSA, Assoc.Professor (Hort.) coordinated the programme under the guidance of Dr. M. Ramakrishna, Associate Dean.

RHWEP Activities

RHWEP students of CoH, Anantharajupeta allotted to KVK, Periyava- ram made an exposure visit to State Bio-control Laboratory, Soil Testing laboratory at and CIFAL Herbal Pvt Ltd at on 24.09.2018 as a part of RHWEP Programme. . Dr. L.Ranjith kumar, Scientist (Ento.), In-charge of RHWEP, KVK, Periyavaram coordi- nated the programme.

Dr. R. Nagaraju, Principal Scientist (Hort.) & Head, Smt. T. Na- galakshmi, Scientist (Pl. Path), HRS, Anantharjupeta along with Dr. M. Rama Krishna, Associate Dean, CoH, Anantharjupeta inspected the ongoing RHWE Programme at Bayanapalli and Reddivaripalli villages on 17.09.2018 and 18.09.2018 respectively and established mushroom production unit for the benefit of the women as part of skill development and crop diversification.

On 28.09.2018, RHWEP students of CoH, Venkataramannagudem allotted to HRS, Ambajipeta have conducted method demonstra- tions on boran application, fertilizer application in coconut and Bor- deaux mixture preparation. Dr. E.Padma, Senior Scientist (Hort.) and Smt. B.Neeraja, Scientist (Pl. Path.) coordinated the programme.

Miss Srividya Rani.N, Scientist (Agri. Extn.), KVK, Pandirimamidi gave lecture on ‘Pair-wise ranking, Cause effect diagram and Wealth ranking under PRA techniques’ to RHWEP students on 22.09.2018. This helps to create interaction between farmers and students and know the problems of the farmers, priority of the problem, rich, me- dium and poor farmers category under wealth ranking which helps in taking up necessary measures.

On 24.09.2018, Pair wise ranking was conducted by RHWEP stu- dents under the guidance of Miss Srividya Rani.N, Scientist (Agri. Extn.), KVK, Pandirimamidi on the problems and basic needs of the farmers in that village. Among the needs Bridge and Hospital are the one which are a priority. Cause effect diagram and problem tree analysis was done on Pollution and Poverty aspects in that village.

On 29.09.2018, RHWEP students conducted method demonstration on installation of pheromone traps in brinjal fields under the guid- ance of Dr.S.Adarsha, Scientist (Ento.) and Miss N. Sri Vidya Rani, Scientist (Agri. Extn.), KVK, Pandirimamidi. Students explained about the use of pheromone traps, pests that can be monitored and controlled in various crops. .

Dr.K.Mamatha, Senior Scientist (Hort.), HRS, Kovvur explained about recording of meteorological observations to the RHWEP stu- dents allotted to HRS, Kovvur on 25.09.2018.

Dr. K. Swarajya lakshmi, Professor (Hort.), CoH, Anantharajupeta par- ticipated in an interaction meeting of RHWEP students of CoH, A.R.Peta at the office of MAO, Chitvel (M) on 26.09.2018, organized by the Horticultural officer, Chitvel and explained the students about ITKs (Indigenous traditional knowledge) developed by the farmers over a period of time to be observed.

Surgical Strike Day

SKPP Horticultural Polytechnic, Ramachandrapuram students has celebrated Surgical Strike Day and expressed their gratitude to our Great Indian Army Soldiers in the form of poems and let- ters and also recollected the sacrifices of Our Army Soldiers. The Students promised the Indian Army as they are ready to extend their support to the army as and when the country need their services to protect the nation. In this programme, teaching and non-teaching staff have actively par- ticipated.

Dr. Ch. Ruth, Professor (Pl. Path) and Dr Y. Sireesha, Assistant Professor (Pl. Path), CoH, Anantharajupeta has taken UG ELP- Mushroom culture students to a mushroom entrepreneur as a part of students exposure visit on 25.09.2018.

Research

Sri. Ch.S.Kishore Kumar, Scientist (Pl. Path.) and Dr. R. Naga Lakshmi, Scientist (Hort.), HRS, Kovvur visited nematode infested guava orchard and collected root and soil samples at Maddurulanka village on 17.09.2018. Also collected root and soil samples from mango, papaya and chilli fields.

Dr.N.B.V.Chalapathi Rao, Principal Scientist (Ento.) Smt. B. Neeraja, Scientist (Ento.), HRS, Ambajipeta and Sri. D. Rakshith Roshan carried out roving survey on coconut diseases and pests at Chinnaigudem, Kuntalagudem and Yernagudem villages, Deva- rapalli mandal of West Godavari district on 20.09.2018 and no- ticed the incidence of stem bleeding, ganoderma wilt, budrot, grey leafspot and Rugose spiraling whitefly damage, Red Palm weevil and Rhinoceros beetle damage and created awareness among the farmers for effective management.

Extension

Training Programmes

On 17.09.2018, KVK, Periyavaram conducted training programme on ‘Preparation of low cost supplementary food’ to Anganwadi workers of Chaganam sector at ICDS office, mandal. Ms.Ch. Sindu, Research Associate (Home Science) explained about basic food groups, importance of balanced diet and discussed about the deficiencies to be observed in pregnants, lactating women and children. Also demonstrated the preparation of malt and laddu with millets. Total 26 Anganwadi workers, Child Development Project Officer-ICDS, and Supervisor of Chaganam sector also participated.

On 28.09.2018, KVK, Periyavaram conducted training programme on ‘Value addition in Millets’ at Masidpet village of Rapur Mandal. Ms. Ch. Sindu, Research Associate (Home Science) demonstrated the preparation of Ragi malt, Ragi Laddu, Jowar laddu and multi grain flour to the trainees. CDPO-ICDS along with supervisor also participated. Total 30 trainees have attended the programme.

Dr. B. Srinivasulu, Principal Scientist (Hort.) & Head, HRS, Anan- tapuramu attended a training programme as resource person on ‘Cultivation of guava and papaya’ at Regional Horticulture Train- ing Institute, Anantapuramu on 25.09.2018.

Dr. P. Deepthi, Scientist (Pl. Path.), HRS, Anantapuramu attended a training programme as resource person on ‘Protected cultivation of vegetables’ at Penukonda organized by Department of Horticul- ture, Anantapuramu district on 28.09.2018.

Dr. R. Nagaraju, Principal Scientist (Hort.) & Head, HRS, Anan- tharajupeta participated as resource person in a training programme on ‘Pruning and water management practices to improve yields of mango crop’ to the mango growers of Settigunta, Yanadipalli village of Kodur mandal, Y.S.R Kadapa district organized by Dept. of Horticulture on 25.09.2018.

Dr.E.Padma, Senior Scientist (Hort.) and Smt. B.Neeraja, Scientist (Pl. Path.), HRS, Ambajipeta participated as resource persons on ‘Coconut production and protection technologies’ to the farmers on the occasion of inauguration of ADH office at Amalapuram on 26.09.2018. Sri Bonam Nageswara Rao, Hon’ble Member, Board of Management, Dr.YSRHU also participated.

On 30.09.2018, KVK, Pandirimamidi conducted training programme on ‘Improved management practices in kharif crops like paddy, pulses, chilli etc., seasonal practices to be followed in cashew and mango’ and interacted with farmers regarding action plan for Rabi-2018. Also discussed with the farmers about the units to be grounded under DFI such as custom hiring centre, millet bakery unit, leaf plate making unit, poultry, goatery etc. Dr.A.Srinivas, Principal Scientist & Head, Miss Srividya Rani.N, Sri.P.Raja Sekhar, Scientist (SS& AC) has coordinated the programme.

On 22.09.2018, Dr. V. Nagarjuna, Research Associate (Soil Science), KVK, Vonipenta attended DFAC meeting at KVK, Uttukur organized by ATMA, Kadapa. The Project director, ATMA discussed about budget allocation for 2018-19 whereas the scientist, KVK explained the proposed demonstrations and training programmes under ATMA by KVK, Vonipenta

On 28.09.2018, Dr. V. Nagarjuna, Research Associate (Soil Sci- ence), KVK, Vonipenta attended a training programme as resource person conducted by Department of Horticulture at Ponnamapalli village in Myalavaram mandal and explained about integrated nutrient management in horticulture crops. Conducted a diagnostic field visit in papaya field and indentified papaya ring spot and mosaic diseases and recommended to spray dimethoate or methyl demeton @ 2 ml/l for controlling insect vector.

On 25.09.2018, KVK, Pandirimamidi conducted training programme on ‘Importance of millet cultivation, its value addition biscuit and bakery products making’ for SHG tribal women of Maredumilli mandal. Also selected the beneficiaries for the train- ing programme to be conducted to promote livelihood and to increase their socio-economic status. Dr.A.Srinivas, Principal Scientist & Head and Miss N.Srividya Rani, Scientist (Agri. Extn.) has coordinated the programme.

On 27.09.18, Sri K.C.Bhanumurthy, Scientist (Hort.) and P.Rajasekhar, Scientist (SS& AC), KVK, Pandirimimidi attended as resource persons on ‘Improved management practices in cashew’ organized by SERP foundation at Gangavaram village and addressed the farmers on production practices, management of T -mosquito bug, CSRB and importance of waste decomposer. In this programme, Sri. Ganesh, DCO, SERP foundation and 42 farm- ers have participated.

Dr. C. Madhumathi, Professor (Hort.), CoH, Anantharajupeta attended a training programme as resource person on “Production technology & tissue culture banana” for MPEOs of Department of Horticulture organ- ized by RHTI, Kadapa on 18.09.2018.

Dr. K. Swarajya lakshmi, Professor (Hort.), CoH, Anantharajupeta attended training programmes as resource person on ‘Modern methods of cultivation of flower crops and plant protection’ at Garugupalli village of Chitvel (M) and ‘Value addition, preparation of different processed products from fruits and vegetables for additional income’ at Chitvel on 26.09.2018 organized by Dept. of Horticulture, Rajampet division, Kadapa district.

Front Line Demonstrations

On 20.09.2018, KVK, Vonipenta conducted training programme on “Cultivation practices in blackgram” under CFLD on Pulses under National Food Security Mission sponsored by ICAR- ATARI, Zone – X, Hyderabad. Technical team of KVK, Vonipenta conducted method demonstration on seed treatment with imida- cloprid @ 5 gm per kg seed to control sucking pest complex. The scientists provided critical inputs to the beneficiary farmers at KVK, Vonipenta.

Tribal Sub Plan

On 26.09.2018, KVK, Pandirimamidi has provided 2 units of Osma- nabadi goats and 32 units of Aseel birds to the DFI beneficiary farmers of I.Polavaram village of Rampachodavaram mandal under TSP 2017-18.

Awareness Programmes On 29.09.2018, Dr.P.Manjari, Scientist (Veterinary Science), KVK, Periyavaram created awareness among school children regarding the causes and pathogenesis of Rabies disease and its preventive measures including vaccination schedule to be followed in canines and humans. The programme was conducted on the occasion of World Rabies Day and was attended by 106 Interme- diate students of AP Model School.

Smt. B.Neeraja, Scientist (Pl. Path.), HRS, Ambajipeta participated in awareness meeting on Rugose spiralling whitefly along with ADH, Amalapuram at Vakkalanka village of East Godavari district on 28.09.2018 and demonstrated the control measures through RHWEP students and created awareness among the farmers.

Diagnostic Visits Dr. M. Tagore Naik, Senior Scientist (Hort.), HRS, Mahanandi visited banana, turmeric, chiili and tube rose fields in Bukkapuram and Bollavaram of Mahanandi (M) along with RHWEP students on 22.09.2018 and observed sigatoka leaf spot in banana, leaf eating caterpillar in turmeric, leaf curl virus in chilli, leaf spot in tube rose and suggested the suitable control measures to the above problems.

Dr.G.Ramanandam, Principal Scientist, (Hort.) & Smt. B.Neeraja, Scien- tist (Pl. Path.), HRS, Ambajipeta participated in field diagnostic survey along with ADH, Amalapuram and created awareness on rugose spiralling whitefly and its control at Vakkalanka village, Ambajipeta mandal of East Godavari district on 27.09.2018.

On 24.09.18, Dr. V. Nagarjuna, Research Associate (Soil Science) and Dr.V. Yugandhar, Research Associate (Hort.), KVK, Vonipenta visited redgram and banana fields for diagnosis of pests and diseases at Pedda Bhakarapuram village in Duvvur mandal and indentified Zn and K deficiency in red gram and banana fields respectively and suggested foliar application of Zinc slupahte @ 2 g/l and potassium nitrate or sulphate of potash @ 5 g/l to rectify the deficiency.

On 26.09.2018, Sri. G. Sandeep Naik, Scientist (Pl. Path), Dr. V. Nagarjuna, Research Associate (Soil Science) and Dr.V. Yugand- har, Research Associate (Hort.), KVK, Vonipenta visited turmeric and tomato fields for diagnosis of pests and diseases and nutrient deficiency at Settyvaripalli village of Mydukur mandal. Observed rhizome rot, leaf spot diseases and micronu- trient deficiency in turmeric fields and suggested soil drench- ing with ridomil @ 3g/l to the disease infected and surrounding plants against rhizome rot, spray- ing of mancozeb @ 2.5 g/l for leaf spot disease and micronutrient mixture @ 5 g/l twice at 10 days interval.

On 28.09.2018, Sri. G. Sandeep Naik, Scientist (Pl. Path), Dr.V. Yugandhar, Research Associate (Hort.) and E. Ravi Goud, Research Associate (Agri. Extn.), KVK, Vonipenta along with HO, Mydukur visited banana fields for diagnosis of pests and diseases at Nagasani palli village of Khajipeta mandal. Observed leaf streak virus infection and recommended removal and destruction of infected plants followed by the spraying of dimethoate or methyl-O -demeton @ 0.2% to control the vector.

On 18.09.2018, Sri.G. Sandeep Naik, Scientist (Pl. Path.), Dr. V. Na- garjuna, Research Associate (Soil Science) and Dr.V. Yugandhar, Research Associate (Hort.), KVK, Vonipenta visited turmeric fields for diagnosis of pests and diseases at Pappanapalli village of Mydukur mandal. Observed micronutrient deficiency in turmeric and recommended to spray micronutrient mixture @ 5 g/l.

On 05.09.2018, Sri.K.C.Bhanumurthy, Scientist (Hort.) and Sri.P.Raja Sekhar, Scientist (SS&AC), KVK, Pandirimamidi visited brinjal field at Kusumarai village of Gangavaram mandal and observed shoot and fruit borer infestation and potassium deficiency. Suggested to destroy the infested shoots followed by spraying of profenofos @ 2 ml/l for shoot and fruit borer with an interval of 15 days after harvesting of mature fruits. Foliar appli- cation of KNO3 @ 5 g/l followed by soil application of potash @ 24 kg /acre (MOP@40 kg/acre) to correct the potassium deficiency.

On 26.09.2018, Dr. S.Adarsha, Scientist (Ento.) and Sri Vidya Rani. N Scientist (Agri. Extn.), KVK, Pandirimamidi diagnosed rice hispa infes- tation in paddy (var. NLR 3041) fields at 15DAT, dampingoff in tomato nursery and leaf eating caterpillar and YVMV in bhendi fields. Recommended to spray chlorpyrifos @ 2.5ml/l for control of rice hispa, soil drenching with copper oxy chloride @3g/l for control of dampingoff in tomato and to follow IPM practices for YVMV management.

On 29.09.2018, Dr.S.Adarsha, Scientist (Ento.) and Miss N. Sri Vidya Rani, Scientist (Agri. Extn.), KVK, Pandirimamidi diagnosed fruit fly infestation in ridge gourd and fruit borer damage in chilli fields. Rec- ommended use of fruit fly traps @10 per acre and poison baiting for the control of fruit borers.

General Meetings The Annual Zonal Work Shop of KVKs under Zone – X, ICAR- ATARI was held from 20th to 22nd September, 2018 at CRIDA Campus, Hyderabad. Heads of KVKs, VR Gudem, Pandirima- midi, Periyavaram and Vonipenta have participated and pre- sented the work done for the year 2017-18. Dr. R.V.S.K. Reddy Director of Extension chaired three technical sessions and reviewed the KVKs work done and given suggestions. The new building constructed as ATARI-Annexe was also inaugurated by Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Hon’ble Secretary DARE and DG, ICAR, New Delhi on 21st September in the august presence of Dr.A.K.Singh, DDG (Agri. Extn.), Vice-Chancellors of ANGRAU, PJTSAU & TNAU and all the Directors of various ICAR institutes at Hyderabad as well as Directors of Extension of SAUs in the zone. And also interacted with Heads of KVKs.

Dr.T. Vijaya Nirmala, Scientist (Veterinary Science), KVK, Venkatara- mannagudem attended three days “Training of trainers Programme” as Master trainer for small poultry farmer job role from 25.09.2018 to 27.09.2018 organised by Agriculture Skill Council of in collaboration with ICAR-ATARI and PJTSAU, Hyderabad, Telangana state.

Dr.T.Suseela, Associate Professor, CoH, Venkataramannagudem along with PG students of Floriculture & Landscape and Dr. K.Swarajya Lakshmi, Prof (Hort.), CoH, Anantharajupeta attended “One day workshop on Bougainvillea plants” on 28.09.2018 at Vijayawada organized by Andhra Pradesh Greening & Beautifica- tion Corporation. Dr R K Roy, Former Head, CSIR-National Botani- cal Research institute, Lucknow and Dr.B.K.Banerji, Dy.Director & Head (Ex) floriculture division, CSIR, NBRI, Lucknow were the resource persons for the workshop.

Dr. P. Rama Devi, Senior Scientist (Pl. Path), Smt. D.Aparna, Scientist (Hort.) and Dr.V.S.L. Saranya, R.A. (Ento.), HRS, Venkataramannagudem participated in XXVI Annual Group Meeting of AICRP on MAP and Betelvine at AAU, Jorhat from 28th – 30th September, 2018.

DilipBabu, Director of Research, Sri R. Ram Mohan, PD, APMIP, Kakinada, Sri M. Sara- vanan, Assistant Director of Horticulture (SHM), Commissioner- ate of Horticulture, Andhra Pradesh, Sri K. ChittiBabu, ADH, East Godavari-3 and other staff of Department of Horticulture also participated in the programme.

Dr. K.T. Venkataramana, Principal Scientist (Hort) & Head, Citrus Re- search Station, Tiruapti and Dr. B.V.K. Bhagavan, Principal Scientist (Hort) & Head, HRS, Kovvur attended the Doubling of Farmers In- come and follow up action on the proceedings of the 5th Group Dis- cussion of ICAR-AICRP on fruits from 17th to 19th September, 2018 at ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru.

Dr.N.B.V.Chalapathi Rao, Principal Scientist (Ento.), HRS, Ambajipeta attended and presented the abstract paper on “Field efficacy of Pedio- bius imbrues (Hymenoptera:Eulophidae) parasitoid on coconut slug caterpillar Macroplectra nararia Moore (Limacodidae:Lepidoptera)” in 1st International Conference on Biological control from 27th-29th Sep- tember, 2018 at Bengaluru organized by ICAR – NBAIR, Bengaluru.

Human Resource Development

Dr.K.Ravindra Kumar, Scientist (Hort.), HRS, Kovvur participated in 21 days ICAR-CAFT training programme on “New Innovations in Improvement of Vegetable Crops” from 5th to 25th September 2018 at Dr.YSPUHF, Nauni, Solan.

Miss N.Srividya Rani, Scientist (Agri. Extn.), KVK, Pandirimamidi and Dr.V.Deepthi, Scientist (Agri. Extn.), KVK, Venkataramanna- gudem attended a training programme on “e-extension in agriculture & allied activities” organized at MANAGE, Hyderabad from 17.09.2018 to 20.09.2018 and learnt about National e- governance plan, Internet of Things, m-kisan portal, National In- formatics Centre, mobile apps available for the farmers, how to develop mobile apps, how Digital India is helping the farmers in making the innovations in agriculture understandable, e-NAM, Kisan call centres etc. In the valedictory session Smt.V.Usha Rani, IAS, Director General, MANAGE distrib- uted the certificates to the participants and taken feedback regarding the training.

Dr. M. Raja Naik, Associate Professor (Hort.), CoH, Anantharajupeta has participated in 10 days ICAR sponsored short course on “New dimensions in management of soil health through organic produc- tion system in Horticulture crops” held at College of Horticulture, UHS Campus, GKVK, Bengaluru from 10.09.2018 to 19.09.2018.

Dr K. Sesha Kiran, Asst Prof (Pl. Path.), CoH, Venkataramannagudem was deputed for 56 days to CSIR – National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, Tiruvananthapurem, Kerala to purse summer fellowship awarded by Indian Academy of Science, Bengaluru, The National Acad- emy of Sciences, Allahabad and Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi.

Visits Tribal farmers implementing the Integrated Farming Systems in But- taigudem and Polavaram mandals were taken for an exposure visit on 28.09.2018 as a part of the training cum exposure visit to the IFS farm of Sri. M. Suryanarayana Murthy, progressive farmer and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Anthyodaya Krishi Puraskar awardee of K.Gangavaram village, East Godavari District. The farmers interacted regarding different components that are profitable in IFS model and gained first hand information on various componenets that can be replicated in their own existing model. On the last day Dr.R.V.S.K.Reddy, Director of Extension interacted with the trainees and explained about how to prepare and utilize the land in IFS system and also distributed the certificates.

Dr. J. Dilip Babu, Director of Research visited CRS, Tirupati on 26.09.2018 for technical and office inspection for the year 2017-18 and reviewed the progress of research activities and visited HRS, An- antharajupeta on 28.09.2018 and reviewed ongoing experiments, nursery and Bio-control lab activities.

Fifty farmers from Pedavegi, West Godavari district along with Horti- culture officer visited CRS, Tirupati and HRS, Anantharajupeta under exposure visit programme on 27.09.2018. Smt. T. Naga Lakshmi, Sci- entist (Pl Path.), HRS, Anantharajupeta explained about bio-control of soil borne diseases and integrated management of papaya ring spot virus.

Thirty farmers from KVK, Nellore visited HRS, Anantharajupeta as a part of exposure visit. Sri.D.Sreedhar and other Scientists interacted with the farmers and discussed elaborately on mango, papaya cultiva- tion practices and various other fruit crop problems on 24.09.2018.

Thirty farmers from Odisha state visited HRS, Ambajipeta as a part of exposure visit and scientists briefed about the crop production, protec- tion and quality planting material production on 25.09.2018.

Post Graduate Botany students of Yogi Vemana University, YSR Ka- dapa made an exposure visit to College of Horticulture, Anatharaju- peta to gain knowledge on various diseases of horticultural crops and to get acquainted with various equipments of plant pathology laboratory on 26.09.2018.

Sri.K.Srikanth Reddy, Entrepreneur, Eluru and Sri. G.Ranga Raju, Small scale entrepreneur, Tanuku visited fruit and vegetable proc- essing unit at PHTRS, Venkataramannagudem on 18.09.2018 and 22.09.2018 respectively. Technical team explained the functioning of machinery. Swachhta Hi Seva Programme ‘Swachhta Hi Seva campaign’ was observed by the Constituent Colleges, Research Stations and Krishi Vigyan Kendras of Dr.YSRHU from 15th September, 2017 to 2nd October, 2018. The cleanli- ness campaign was inaugurated to emphasise and enhance the importance of hygiene and proper sanitation among the public to pave the way for healthy nation.
