March Focus: Avoiding the Mental “Wall”

We have hit that part of the school year where we all hit that mental wall. The “I can’t stand this anymore!” wall, or “There is still so much of the year left!” wall, or the “I am done with this year” wall. No matter what your wall is, we all hit it, and this year has made that wall a little sturdier and more difficult to break down. Here are some tips to break down that wall and finish the school year off with Spartan P.R.I.D.E. • Think of one positive thing to look forward to about your day when you wake up. • Show your body respect by eating a good breakfast and wearing your best outfit to school. • Show determination by waking up at least 45 minutes before you leave for school. • Establish goals for yourself every day or every week and celebrate yourself when you accomplish that goal. • Work towards excellence and do your best in everything you do! • Go outside and take a break in between classes to refresh your mind. • Focus on being successful that week or that day rather than counting the weeks until school is over.
