If the race committee accept the class it will be added to Appendix SNT and the prospective entrant will be notified by email. Please note any entry will still need to be made in the usual way and will be subject to the entry limit. Advertising will be allowed in accordance with the Class Rules of the competing classes. The races will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing. Competitors should note that Northampton Sailing Club implements the RYA Racing Charter and that they will be required to undertake to sail in compliance with the Charter, which can be found at the front of the RYA rule book. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY The safety of a boat and her entire management including insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the owner/competitor racing the boat, who must ensure that the boat and crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise in the course of the race.     PLEON’S MISSION Pleon is a unique club which emphasizes confidence, independence and responsibility through junior sailing. Since the Club’s founding in 1887, Pleon’s flag officers and members have been youngsters under the age of 21. The purpose of the Pleon Sailing Program is to involve as many young people as possible in the sport of sailing in a fun, educational atmosphere. The program supports both serious competitors and recreational sailors of all skill levels, and is focused on building sailing skills while also promoting sportsmanship, fostering teamwork and strengthening respect for oneself and others. Pleon owns a fleet of club boats which are available for the club’s members to use including: 28 Optimist Dinghies (Optis), 5 Lasers, 3 Sonars and 24 Club 420’s. PLEON YACHT CLUB AND THE 2017 SUMMER SAILING PROGRAM The 2018 Pleon Sailing Program will begin Monday, June 20 and end Friday, August 17. The primary emphasis of the program is learning the sport of sailing and developing life skills through experience on the water. Pleon also provides members with a variety of additional summertime activities. Social events include cookouts, movie nights, Great Day, the Commodore’s Ball and Awards Night. Elections for flag officers are held in August for the following summer. Pleon often hosts regattas including regional, national and international class championships. Commodore Chloe Brown will be on hand each day during the summer to answer any questions regarding club and social activities.
