PRESS RELEASE 5 July 2017 Rounds 13 & 14 – Oschersleben – 8 / 9 July 2017 PREVIEW The TCR International Series returns to Oschersleben The TCR International Series returns to Oschersleben’s Motorsport Arena for the second consecutive year. Built in 1997 and partially modified in 2007, this modern racetrack has always been a favourite of Touring Car drivers for its demanding layout that offers several opportunities to overtake and German fans enjoy the door-to-door battles between the cars. Last year, Mat’o Homola claimed his first TCR win in the first race, beating Dušan Borković and James Nash who finished second and third again in the second race that was won by Pepe Oriola. The SEAT cars dominated the event, as they filled the top-five places in both races. This year the TCR competitors will use the circuit’s older layout that includes the smoother “esses” at the end of the pit straight instead of the sharper left-hander. This is to limit the risk of a pile up at the start and to favour overtaking manoeuvres. Track activity will be concentrated into two days: two Free Practice sessions and the Qualifying on Saturday, with both races on Sunday. TCR at Oschersleben – the event at a glance Lap distance: 3.66 km Race distance: 17 laps Start: standing Grids: determined by Qualifying results (Q1+Q2) with top-10 reversed for Race 2 Timetable: Saturday, 09:15/09:45 Free Practice 1 Saturday, 12:00/12:30 Free Practice 2 Saturday, 15:00/15:35 Qualifying (Q1 + Q2) Sunday, 12:35 Race 1 Sunday, 14:35 Race 2 all times: GMT +2 M1RA drivers Tassi and Colciago defend the top positions The previous event at the Hungaroring turned out very much in favour of Hungary-based M1RA.

Honda Racing team Sweden and Rickard Rydell all set for WTCC opener Argentina, March 5, 2015 After a winter filled with anticipation, this weekend finally sees the 2015 FIA World Touring Car Championship get underway in Argentina. Joining the grid for the first time will be Honda Racing team Sweden – the only outfit from the Scandinavian country to feature in an official world championship motor racing series – spearheaded by star driver Rickard Rydell. Following almost two years of hard work behind the scenes, this is the moment it all boils down to; facing the opposition out on track. 47-year-old Rydell is one of Sweden’s most experienced and successful racing drivers of the modern era, having clinched titles in both the British (1998) and Scandinavian (2011) Touring Car Championships and raced full-time in the WTCC between 2005 and 2009. 2015 marks Rydell’s return to the international touring car stage, as he embarks on an all-Swedish assault on the world championship. Hosting the first round of the season is the Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo, a 4.805 km circuit that first appeared on the WTCC calendar in 2013. Two races will be contested over the weekend; both of them taking place on Sunday evening CET. For team quotes ahead of the WTCC curtain-raiser, please see next page. FAST FACTS - ARGENTINA While this weekend marks Rydell’s first official appearance as a Honda driver, it will not be his maiden outing in a Honda car. In the fall of 2004, Rydell participated in a local touring car race in, fittingly, the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires, although he was forced to retire when running second with just four laps to go.

Girolami scores on impressive WTCC debut Bratislava, June 21, 2015 Néstor Girolami showcased impressive pace on his FIA World Touring Car Championship debut this weekend, scoring a point for Honda Racing team Sweden at the Slovakia Ring. The highly-rated Argentine Súper TC2000 champion swiftly settled into life on the international touring car arena, qualifying within 0.001 seconds of works Honda driver Tiago Monteiro – a winner last time out in WTCC Race of Russia. The effort, however, only yielded 18th place on the grids for the weekend’s two races as set-up issues and compensation weight affected the overall performance. In Sunday’s opening 11-lap encounter, Girolami then used refined settings to full effect, making up four places on the opening lap alone and later passing Chevrolet’s Stefano D’Aste in the twisty infield section of the circuit. By the fall of the chequered flag, Girolami had hauled himself up to tenth place, scoring one world championship point at the first time of asking. In the subsequent Race 2, the 26-year-old miraculously avoided contact with Ma Qing Hua’s stalled Citroën at the start, and went on to narrowly miss out on another points finish in 11th. The WTCC field now moves on to France’s Circuit Paul Ricard, where the next round of the season is set to take place in just one week’s time. Honda Racing team Sweden regular Rickard Rydell will return to driving duties in France.
