Eesti Vabariigi sümboolika ja Keila Lasteaed Vikerkaar tutvustus, mis reisib koos nukkude Juku ja Juulaga Eesti Vabariik Estonia Eesti Vabariigi vapp Coat of arms of Estonia The current coat of arms of Estonia is a golden shield which inchedes three slim, blue leopards(or lions) in the middle, with oak branches along the side of the shield. The lions symbolize the Estonians courage of the fight for freedom and the wreath of oak leaves shows the strength of Estonia and the evergreen traditions of freedom. Eesti Vabariigi lipp Flag of Estonia The national flag of Estonia is a tricolour- colloguially called the “sinimustvalge” (literally “ blue- black-white”) after the colours of the bands: Blue- blue sky above the native land. Black- the soil of the homeland, growing the grain for bread. White- the promise of a brighter future; purity and hope. The Estonian tricolour is used displayed not only on state holidays, but also on national and family dates. The ancient Estonians thought that the chimney swallow brought them happiness and it symbolized their diligence. It grows in the rye fields and as we know Estonians like their daily brown bread. The Estonians think that the cornflower symbolizes faith Eesti rahvuskivi paekivi National stone Grey limestone Estonia lies on a thick layer of limestone. Most castles, churches, farm buildings and countless stone fences are made of limestone. Limestone was used in building up Tallinn Old City. September - Tarkusepäev September 1- Day of Knowledge The festive beginning of a new schoolyear.Children attend school and learning through games begins in nursery schools,kindergartens. 10. november Mardipäev 25. november Kadripäev November 10 – St. Martin`s Day November 25 – St. Catherine` s Day Children and young people dressed as beggars go from house to house wishing a good crop and a successful new agricultural year.The „ beggars „are given different candies, some traditional food or apples. Jõulud Christmas As all nations in Europe Estonians celebrate Christmas. Hearty advent gatherings take place in the nursery school to spend the time waiting for Christmas more quickly.Christmas parties are held in every group of the school where the kind dwarfs and Santa Clauses,Father Christmas go around and bring gifts to the children. Eesti Vabariigi sünnipäev Estonia s birthday February 24- Estonia s birthday(officially called “independent Day” in 1918 Estonia was declared independent- so in 2014 the Republik of Estonia will be 96. Vastlapäev Shrove Tuesday One of the most popular national holidays in Estonia.The Estonian traditional food on that day is pea or bean soup with legs of pork and the ball-shaped buns with a filling of whipped cream. The main tradition on Shrove Tuesday is sledging or going on long sleigh rides and sliding downhill. Emakeelepäev Native Language Day It is held on March 14 as the day of the Estonian language to value our mother tongue and culture. The children in our kindergarten gather to recite poems learned at home with the help of their families. Lihavõtted Easter Meat – taking holidays – egg holidays – spring holidays – time for laughing and pleasure.According to the old tradition, Easter eggs are dyed by boiling them together with onion peelings or birch leaves.Decorated eggs are given to each other and they are crocked and then eaten together. Lugemispesa Reading nest A confortable small corner has been designed in each group where children can study and read books in very convenient conditions. Our children also like to compose and make books themselves. Laulmine Singing Estonians are called singing people.Our nursery school has got our own song.Our children sing together very often and they like performing to their parents or simoly to each other. It s a tradition to organise a song contest – VIKERKAARE LAULULAPS – in order to find out the best singers of our school. Matkamine Hiking Environment and conservation are very important. We try to help the children to understand our surrounding enviroment and nature with the help of all our senses.We learn to treat the nature so economically as we can. We go hiking in the parks and forests, feed the birds and wild animals, look for the signs of coming spring or autumn. We find pleasure in movement.Outside classes have become very popular. Lastekaitsepäev Children`s Day Children`s Day- June 1. It`s o party day for children, full of amusement and surprises.
