Meeting of Lackagh Apostolic Group in the Museum NEXT Wednesday 7th at 7.30pm to prepare shoe boxes for Christmas distribution. In order to save time, it will help to have your boxes covered with Christmas paper in advance of the meeting.

The Irish pilgrimage trust organises a pilgrimage to Lourdes every Easter, for young people with special/additional needs between 12- 30 years of age. There is also a special family group for younger children with serious illnesses. Collections outside the Church: Collectors are reminded that all those who receive permits from the Garda for Church Gate collections that, that is what they are, Church Gate collections and not Church Door collections. The permits are not valid in the church grounds and do not allow collectors to trespass on church property.

CHY2 forms : please notify the Office if you are NOT a PAYE Taxpayer, to avoid being hassled with letters each year requesting you to return your CHY2 form.. This can be done simply by writing “NO” under the envelope number on your Weekly Envelope. If you are Self Assessed you can do likewise and mark S.A. under the Envelope Number. If you are a PAYE taxpayer please sign and return your form. You can return the form in the collection baskets and mark it ‘CHY2 – Office”. Thank you very much for your help in this. It is greatly appreciated as it is a valuable source of income for our Parish. THANK YOU very much to all the (53) parishioners who have returned their signed CHY2 forms, and to the 17 people who have notified the office of not being a PAYE taxpayer.

After a hugely successful 2 years, Ireland Reaching Out is now embarking on its expansion programme nationwide. Corofin Community Development Association have organised a gala concert called ‘Duo Vocis’ with award winning Tenors Frank Naughton and Sean Costello to raise funds for a number of key local projects for the community. Concert to take place in St. Colman’s Church Corofin on Friday 16th November at 8pm. Tickets for the concert are €20 and early booking is advised. The Corofin Community Development Association is hosting this concert to fundraise for the improved facilities for the community of Corofin, namely the acquisition of sites, the provision of a children's playground, the provision of a training ground, along with the building and fitting out of a new sports hall for public use. The Irish Society for Colitis and Crohn’s Disease is an all-volunteer patient support group for sufferers of Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, are holding a public meeting for patients, their family and friends, in the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel, Limerick, on Saturday 10th November between 2pm and 5pm . The Society are very concerned that there are many sufferers, particularly living in rural areas, without any support at all.

Lackagh new Parish Centre are Appealing for OLD Clothes, towels, bed linen, boots, shoes etc. : Clean your home and donate all old towels, bed linen, curtains, used clothing, shoes (no heels - no problem as long as they are a pair) handbags, belts etc. and place in a black refuse sack. When filled, please return to the Museum 10am – 5pm, Monday – Friday only. The more bags you fill, the more much needed funds will be raised for our new parish building. Thank you to all who have donated to date, the Committee are most grateful and ask you to keep donating.
