SCHOOL PROPOSED CHANGES FOR 2020 INTAKES Abbeyfield School Bishop Stopford School All secondary schools in the Brooke Weston Trust (Brooke Weston Academy, Corby Business Academy, Corby Technical School, Kettering Science Academy) have proposed to make their waiting list criteria clearer, by using the following revised definition: From the 1st March until the 31st August of the offer year (the academic year before the academic year in which students are admitted into Year 7) children's position on the Year 7 waiting list will be determined solely in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. Where places become vacant they will be allocated, through a fresh round of random allocation, to children on the waiting list from the stanine that has become vacant and in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. If there is no-one on the waiting list from the stanine that has a vacancy the place will be filled by a child from a neighbouring stanine on an even basis (i.e. if the first child is from a stanine above then the next will be from the stanine below). Students who did not take the ability test will Brooke Weston Academy only be considered if there are places remaining once empty places have been offered to all those who did take the test.
