SCHOOL PROPOSED CHANGES FOR 2020 INTAKES Abbeyfield School

All secondary schools in the Brooke Weston Trust (Brooke Weston , Business Academy, , Science Academy) have proposed to make their waiting list criteria clearer, by using the following revised definition: From the 1st March until the 31st August of the offer year (the academic year before the academic year in which students are admitted into Year 7) children's position on the Year 7 waiting list will be determined solely in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. Where places become vacant they will be allocated, through a fresh round of random allocation, to children on the waiting list from the stanine that has become vacant and in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. If there is no-one on the waiting list from the stanine that has a vacancy the place will be filled by a child from a neighbouring stanine on an even basis (i.e. if the first child is from a stanine above then the next will be from the stanine below). Students who did not take the ability test will only be considered if there are places remaining once empty places have been offered to all those who did take the test.

From the 1st September until the 31st December of the Year of entry in Year 7, late applicants (those who did not apply before the Local Authority’s closing date) and anyone else who did not sit the test will be randomly placed into the stanines on the waiting list, distributed evenly starting from stanine 5. Danetre and Southbrook Learning Village SCHOOL PROPOSED CHANGES FOR 2020 INTAKES

Guilsborough School are proposing to add a new criterion to their admission arrangements for 2020 intakes, with children of staff at the school as the second oversubscription criterion. This will be prioritised over pupils who live in the school's linked areas: 1. Children in public care (looked after children) or previously in public care. 2. Children of staff at the school: a) where the member of staff has been employed by for one or more years at the time at which the application is made, and/or b) Where the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is demonstrable skill shortage. 3. Pupils who live in the linked areas associated with the Academy: Arthingworth, Buckby Wharf, Clay Coton, Clipston, Cold Ashby, Coton, Cottesbrooke, Crick, East Farndon, Guilsborough School Academy Trust East Haddon, Elkington, Great Creaton, Great Oxendon, Guilsborough, Haselbech, Holdenby, Hollowell, Hothorpe, Kelmarsh, Lilbourne, Long Buckby, Marston Trussel, Naseby, Ravensthorpe, Sibbertoft, Spratton, Stanfordon Avon, Sulby, Teeton, Thornby, Thorpe Lubenham, Watford, Welford, West Haddon, Winwick, Yelvertoft. 4. Pupils who have a brother or sister continuing at the Academy at the time of admission. 5. Pupils attending the designated contributory primary schools and continuing in attendance until the final offer of places is made: Clipston, Crick, East Haddon, Great Creaton, Guilsborough, Long Buckby, Maidwell, Naseby, Spratton, Welford Sibbertoft and Sulby, West Haddon, Yelvertoft. 6. Other pupils.

Northampton International Academy Proposed PAN increase to 215 for Year 7, but no changes to admission arrangement. Sir Christopher Hatton Academy No change. Southfield School for Girls New criteria - Added Oversubscription Criterion 2: Children who appear (to the admission authority of the school) to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted. See Policy.

The published admission number for Year 7 entry is 240. Places will be allocated to pupils who have an EHCP that names the school as an appropriate provision. When there are more applications for places than there are places available, priority will be given in the following order: 1. Children in public care (looked after children) or previously in public care.* 2. Children of a member of staff. As per the School Admissions Code (1.39), Admission authorities may give priority in their oversubscription criteria to children of staff in either or both of the following circumstances: a) Where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for the admission to the school is made, and/or The School b) The member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage. 3. Pupils with an older brother or sister at at the time of submitting an application for the younger child 4. Pupils who live in the area defined as NN5 4 and NN5 6. 5. Pupils who live in the area defined as NN5 5, NN5 7 and NN5 9. 6. Other pupils If the admission number is exceeded within any criterion, priority will be given to those who live closest to the school. This is measured in a straight line distance using the County Councils (GIS) Graphical Information System. The Parker E-ACT Academy Thomas Becket Catholic School No change Wootton Park School

For 2020 intakes, the school is proposing to change its linked feeder primary schools. The following schools are proposed to be included as linked feeder primary schools from 2020/21: All Saints CEVA Primary, Croyland Primary, Primary, Freemans Endowed CE Junior School, , Our Lady’s Catholic Primary, Victoria Primary Academy and Wilby. Curently, the school's 10 linked feeder primary schools are as follows: All Saints CEVA Primary, Croyland Primary, Earls Barton Primary, Freeman’s Endowed CE Junior, Olympic Primary Our Lady’s Catholic Primary, Park Junior, Redwell Primary, Ruskin Junior and Warwick Primary. In short, the school is proposing to add: Little Harrowden, Victoria Primary and Wilby, and no longer to link to: Park Junior, Redwell Primary, Ruskin Junior and Warwick Primary.
