Getting there by Train Arriva Trains Wales operate 7 trains daily to and from Fishguard Harbour and have special trains to connect with the arrival and departures of the Stena Line Superferry Stena Europe that operates to/from Rosslare. Depart Fishguard Harbour at: 01:50*, 06:53, 08:04, 09:56, 13:50*, 19:00 & 20:50hrs and trains arriving in Fishguard are: 06:44, 09:46, 13:35*, 18:29, 20:30 & 01:29*. Check-in Time Passenger/ Private Travel We strongly recommend you check-in at least one hour before departure. Travelling Fishguard-Rosslare, CHECK-IN WILL CLOSE 30 minutes before departure. The A40 London to Fishguard Trunk Road through Wales connects Fishguard to the M4. It is a route of European importance and forms part of the E30 highway from Cork to Moscow. Travelling from north Wales use the A487 (If the vehicle is over 13 metres they have a detour of approx 40 miles on the outskirts of Fishguard which routes them onto the A40; this is to avoid Lower Town, an accident black spot for long vehicles).
