List of Shipyards Authorised to Carry out Boat Cleaning

Industrie e artigianato www.ti.ch/acqua Settore cantieri nautici Novembre 2020 Pagina 1 di 1 List of shipyards authorised to carry out boat cleaning In order to prevent the introduction and spreading of invasive aquatic species such as the Quagga Mussel (Dreissena rostriformis) or the Magnificent Bryozoan (Pectinatella magnifica) in the lakes Verbano and Ceresio, a thorough cleaning process of boats is essential, either straight after lifting them out of water or before the vessels enter new waters. The following shipyards have been authorised by Canton Tessin to carry out boat cleaning and emptying of bilge water, because they are fitted with washwater collection and drainage systems. These shipyards are authorised to fill up the boat cleaning certificate to be submitted to boat registration offices and tourism infodesks, which then grant temporary navigation permission. Biography of Giampaolo (Pol) Poroli
Biography of Giampaolo (Pol) Poroli Originally from Ronco north of Ascona, born in Locarno, now living and working in Minusio. He developed his passion for painting as a scholar of several artists from Ticino (Fernando Pozzi, Fausto Corda, Marco Gurtner and Manlio Monti). After a few years of figurative painting, during 1996 he began to learn towards abstract painting which went through several phases. He is accompanied and sustained by his friend, the painter Fausto Leoni.
