Titled 'Acidub', this highly anticipated release is much more of an evolution than a repetition of the first superbly self-restricted A2 album, where Tilliander even decided to use only one of the two Roland TB-303 waveforms. Acidub is a B1 more playful and open listening experience, no doubt inspired by his extensive live touring with the TM404 concept. In fact, you can almost hear Tilliander's flock of acid machines breaking free from the restrained B2 modus operandi. Every sound is like a migratory bird with a heart yearning for high altitude and favourable C1 winds. The opening track Alinge paints a lucid picture of these acid birds leaving a cold industrial landscape behind; the flickering black shadows from their wings against the white smoke rising from a C2 forest of chimneys below. The very last seconds of Alinge even echo of the place the silver birds are D1 longing for, but that will remain a secret between Kontra-Musik and the avid listener. Francesco Tristano really needs no introduction lately, his music speaks volumes and his reputation A1 precedes him; with that said we are happy to share 'Place On Lafayette' with you once again, this time including some stunning remixes. The first one is a collaboration between two highly respected artists: Thomas Gandey and Radio Slave. The two take the track further into tech-house territory with the percussion driving while multiple layers begin the fall into one another, achieving a beautifully elegant A2 and jazzy end result. Guti's vision is much deeper, with hints of dub here and there as the artists drives the tension up and creates a stunning groove. The final remix come from Tuff City Kids, who are known for their sometimes unconventional approach to making music, and in this case, it works. They channel a raw B1 vibe and create something that is quite possibly the furthest thing from the original in terms of percussion. The pianos keep the thread strong, and the rhythm takes care of the rest

METAL / HEAVY REPRESS GER A1 A2 Without British metal bands such as Raven, Satan, Jaguar and Blitzkrieg there would never have been an A3 American speed metal revolution. No doubt about that. Blitzkrieg were formed in late 1980 out of the A4 ashes of a band called Split Image when vocalist Brian Ross replaced former singer Sarah Aldwinckle and A5 joined Jim Sieroto *guitar(, Ian Jones *guitar(, Steve English *bass( and Steve Abbey *drums(. Soon enough A6 the new born Blitzkrieg inked a deal with Dave Wood's Neat Records. The band's legendary »Buried Alive« single *with "Blitzkrieg" on the B/Side( was recorded at Impulse Studios *produced by Mick Sweeney( in B1 February 1981 and issued as NEAT 10 on May 19th the same year. Due to Brian Ross joining Satan, the B2 original incarnation of Blitzkrieg split up in late 1981 without having recorded an album. When »A Time Of B3 Changes« was finally released posthumously in 1985 it was too little too late. Time had moved on and B4 American acts like Exodus, Megadeth, Metallica and Slayer were dominating the scene. The record came out to huge critical acclaim in 2015, but never made it to wax until the Ghent based imprint fell for it. De Beren Gieren is a trio of explorers and improvisers that debuted in 2011 A4 and quickly made a name for themselves in the Belgian contemporary jazz scene. One Mirrors Many is A5 their fifth album already, and the first one in which the band experiments with incorporating electronic A6 analog elements to their sound. Analog effects, tape loops and contact microphones are used and B1 adapted to their instruments. During the live performance, the electronic gear is triggered live by the musicians to accompany De Beren Gieren's compositions and improvisations. This approach not only B2 resulted in a great deal of excellent international reviews, it also established De Beren Gieren's reputation B3 of the most adventurous and influential jazz act around B4

Kicking off with "Dum Dum - Part 2" by Fresh (TX115 - 1986), following on from Part 1 which came out on Larry Sherman's Precision (named after his pressing plant) in 1984, and included a prototype version of what would become "Real Love" by Jesse's Gang. Its A2 follow up, Part Two, produced by Jesse Saunders was just as basic consisting of bass, drums and the occasional squelch or stab. Next up... Yes its him again - Farley Jackmaster Funk with "Give Your Self To Me" (TX116 - 1986). Featuring uncredited vocal performances from both Ricky Dillard and Kevin Irving, this B1 is almost symphonic in comparison with some of Farley's previous foray's into the studio, possibly aided by the fact he utilised a producer, Danny Wilson, to finesse his efforts. On the B side we start with Willie Wonka's "What Is House (TX122 - 1986). Dwayne Grant's name seems to have slipped off the radar, but this B2 wasn't even his first release, having already recorded under the name Grant for Sherman's Precision the year prior to this

DEEP HOUSE / WORLD / FRA ARABIAN A1 All the music presented here is original, and has been recorded in Jordan in May 2014. This project was born when I met Shadi in Paris, at the percussion recording sessions for Acid Arab. From these sessions B1 came the idea ofexploring local music styles on the verge of disappearing, in Jordan and elsewhere in the Middle East. It was also an opportunity for me to meet exceptional people and wonderful artists. For 15 B2 days, we travelled through Jordan, recording local musicians. Here we hear Osama Al Khairat aka Abu Sayah, an exiled Syrian musician who plays the Yarghoul (two flutes linked together by beeswax. One B3 plays a drone, the other the corresponding range, all while blowing continuously). I want to specially thank Shermine Sawalha for allowing us to record in the living room of her parents' house, as well as for C1 coordinating the whole project. Without her energy and patience, this record would not be in your hands today. Also, many thanks to Ali Hamad Zalabia, who welcomed us to his camp in the desert at Wadi Rum, D1 one of the most beautiful places that I have ever had the chance to see...
