First Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 14 כב ַﬠ ֵ ֣שּׂר ְתּ ַﬠ ֵ֔שּׂר ֵ ֖את ָכּ ְל־תּ ַ ֣בוּאת ַזְר ֶ ֑ﬠ ַהיֹּ ֵ ֥צא ,You shall tithe all the seed crop that the field gives forth .22

ַה ָשּׂ ֶ ֖דה ָשָׁ ֥נה ָשָׁ ֽנה: .year by year

כג ְו ָ ֽא ַכ ְל ָ֞תּ ִל ְפֵ ֣ני | ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֗הי ַבּ ָמּ ֣קוֹם ֲא ֶשׁר־ ִי ְב ַח ֘ר And you shall eat before the Lord, your God, in the place .23 ְל ַשׁ ֵ ֣כּן ְשׁ ֣מוֹ ָשׁ ֒ם ַמ ְﬠ ַ ֤שׂר ְדָּ ֽג ְנ ֙ ִֽתּ ְירשׁ ֣ ְו ִי ְצ ָהֶ ֔ר וּ ְבכֹ֥רֹת He chooses to establish His Name therein, the tithes of your ְבָּ ֽ קְר ֖ ְוצ ֹ ֶ ֑אנ ְל ַ ֣מ ַﬠן ִתּ ְל ַ֗מד ְל ִיְר ָ ֛אה ֶאת־ ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֖הי grain, your wine, and your oil, and the firstborn of your cattle and of your sheep, so that you may learn to fear the Lord, your God, ָכּ ַל־הָיּ ִֽמים: all the days. כד ְו ִֽכי־ ִיְר ֶ֨בּה ִמ ְמּ ֜ ַה ֶ֗דֶּר ִ ֣כּי ֣ל ֹא תוּ ַכ֘ל ְשׂ ֵאתוֹ֒ And if the way be too long for you, that you are unable to .24 carry it, for the place which the Lord, your God, will choose to ִֽכּי־ ִיְר ַ ֤חק ִמ ְמּ ֙ ַה ָמּ ֔קוֹם ֲא ֶ ֤שׁר ִי ְב ַח ֙ר ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֔הי ָל ֥שׂוּם ְשׁ ֖מוֹ ָ ֑שׁם ִ֥כּי ְי ָ ֽבֶר ְכ ֖ ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֽהי: ,establish His Name therein, is too far from you, for the Lord your God, will bless you

כה ְוָ ֽנ ַת ָ ֖תּה ַבּ ָ ֑כּ ֶסף ְו ַצְר ָ ֤תּ ַה ֶ֨כּ ֶס ֙ף ְבָּי֣ ְ ד ֔ ְו ָ ֽה ַל ְכ ָ֙תּ Then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in .25 ֶא ַל־ה ָמּ ֔קוֹם ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ִי ְב ַ ֛חר ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֖הי ֽבּוֹ: your hand, and you shall go to the place the Lord, your God, will choose.

כו ְוָ ֽנ ַת ָ ֣תּה ַה ֶ֡כּ ֶסף ְבּכֹ ֩ל ֲא ֶשׁ ְר־תּ ַאֶ֨וּה ַנ ְפ ְשׁ ֜ ַבּ ָבָּ ֣ קר And you shall turn that money into whatever your soul .26 desires; cattle, sheep, new wine or old wine, or whatever your וּ ַב ֗צּ ֹאן וּ ַבַ֨יּ ִ֙ין וּ ַב ֵשּׁ ָ֔כר וּ ְב ֛כֹל ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ִתּ ְשׁ ָ ֽא ְל ֖ ַנ ְפ ֶ ֑שׁ ְו ָא ַ ֣כ ְל ָתּ ָ֗שּׁם ִל ְפ ֵ֙ני ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֔הי ְו ָ ֽשׂ ַמ ְח ָ ֖תּ ַא ָ ֥תּה וּ ֵבי ֶ ֽת: ,soul desires, and you shall eat there before the Lord, your God and you shall rejoice, you and your household.

כז ְו ַה ֵלִּ֥וי ֲא ֶשׁר־ ִבּ ְשׁ ָﬠֶ ֖רי ֣ל ֹא ַ ֽת ַﬠ ְז ֶ ֑בנּוּ ִ ֣כּי ֵ ֥אין ֛לוֹ ֵ ֥ח ֶלק And [as for] the Levite who is in your cities you shall not .27

ְוַ ֽנ ֲח ָ ֖לה ִﬠ ָ ֽמּ: .forsake him, for he has neither portion nor inheritance with you

כח ִמ ְק ֵ ֣צה | ָשׁ ֣לשׁ ָשׁ ִ֗נים ִתּוֹצ ֙יא ֶאת ָ־כּ ַל־מ ְﬠ ַשׂ ֙ר At the end of three years, you shall take out all the tithe of .28 ְתּ ָ ֣בוּא ְת ֔ ַבּ ָשָּׁ ֖נה ַה ִ ֑הוא ְו ִה ַנּ ְח ָ ֖תּ ִבּ ְשׁ ָﬠֶ ֽרי: .your crop in that year and place it in your cities

כט וּ ָ ֣בא ַה ֵלִּ֡וי ִ ֣כּי ֵאין־ ֩לוֹ ֵ֨ח ֶלק ְוַ ֽנ ֲח ָ֜לה ִﬠ ָ֗מּ ְ֠ו ַה ֵ֠גּר And the Levite because he has no portion or inheritance .29 ְו ַהָיּ ֤תוֹם ְו ָ ֽה ַא ְל ָמ ָנ ֙ה ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ִבּ ְשׁ ָﬠֶ ֔רי ְו ָ ֽא ְכ ֖לוּ ְו ָשׂ ֵ ֑בעוּ with you and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who ְל ַ ֤מ ַﬠן ְי ָ ֽבֶר ְכ ֙ ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֔הי ְבּ ָכ ַ ֽל־מ ֲﬠ ֵ ֥שׂה ָ ֽי ְ ד ֖ ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר are in your cities, will come and eat and be satisfied; so that the Lord, your God, will bless you in all the work of your hand that ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֽשׂה: you will do.

Second Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 15

א ִמֵ ֥קּץ ֶ ֽשׁ ַבע־ ָשִׁ ֖נים ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֥שׂה ְשׁ ִמ ָ ֽטּה: .At the end of seven years you will make a release .1

ב ְו ֶז ֘ה ְדּ ַ ֣בר ַה ְשּׁ ִמ ָטּ ֒ה ָשׁ ֗מוֹט ָכּל־ ַ֨בּ ַﬠ ֙ל ַמ ֵ ֣שּׁה ָי ֔דוֹ And this is the manner of the release; to release the hand of .2 every creditor from what he lent his friend; he shall not exact ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ַי ֶ ֖שּׁה ְבֵּר ֵ ֑ﬠהוּ ֽל ֹא־ ִי ֤ ֹגּשׂ ֶאת ֵ־ר ֵ֨ﬠ ֙הוּ ְו ֶאת ָ־א ִ֔חיו ִֽכּ ָי־קָ ֥רא ְשׁ ִמ ָ ֖טּה ַ ֽל ָ ֽיהוֹה: from his friend or his brother, because time of the release for the Lord has arrived. ג ֶאת ַ־ה ָנּ ְכִ ֖רי ִתּ ֑ ֹגּשׂ ַ ֽו ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ִֽי ְהֶ ֥יה ְל ֛ ֶאת ָ־א ִ ֖חי From the foreigner you may exact; but what is yours with .3

ַתּ ְשׁ ֵ ֥מט ָי ֶ ֽד: .your brother, your hand shall release

ד ֶ֕א ֶפס ִ ֛כּי ֥ל ֹא ִֽי ְהֶיה־ ְבּ ֖ ֶא ְב֑יוֹן ִֽכּי־ ָבֵ ֤ר ְי ָ ֽבֶר ְכ ֙ ְי ָ ֔הוֹה However, there will be no needy among you, for the Lord will .4 ָבּ ָ֕אֶרץ ֲא ֶשׁ ֙ר ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֔הי ֹנ ֵ ֽתן־ ְל ֥ ַ ֽנ ֲח ָ ֖לה ְלִר ְשׁ ָ ֽתּהּ: surely bless you in the land the Lord, your God, is giving you for an inheritance to possess.

ה ַ֚רק ִאם־ ָשׁ ֣מ ַוֹ ִתּ ְשׁ ַ֔מע ְבּ ֖קוֹל ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֑הי ִל ְשׁ ֤ ֹמר ,However, if you hearken to the voice of the Lord, your God .5 ַ ֽל ֲﬠ ֙שׂוֹת ֶאת ָ־כּ ַל־ה ִמּ ְצָ ֣וה ַה ֔זּ ֹאת ֲא ֶ ֛שׁר ָ ֽא ֹנ ִ֥כי ְמ ַצְוּ ֖ to be careful to do all this commandment, which I am ַהֽיּוֹם: .commanding you today

ו ִֽכּי־ ְי ָ ֤הוֹה ֱא ֶ֨ה ֙י ֵ ֽבַּר ְכ ֔ ַ ֽכּ ֲא ֶ ֖שׁר ִדּ ֶבּר־ ָ ֑ל ְו ַ ֽה ֲﬠ ַב ְט ָ֞תּ For the Lord, your God, has blessed you, as He spoke to .6 you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; ִ ֣גּוֹים ַר ִ֗בּים ְו ַא ָתּ ֙ה ֣ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠ ֔בֹט וּ ָ ֽמ ַשׁ ְל ָ֙תּ ְבּ ִ ֣גוֹים ַר ִ֔בּים וּ ְב ֖ ֥ל ֹא ִי ְמ ֽשֹׁלוּ: and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you. ז ִכּי־ִֽי ְהֶי ֩ה ְב ֨ ֶא ְב֜יוֹן ֵ ֽמ ַא ַ ֤חד ַא ֶ֨ח ֙י ְבּ ַא ַ ֣חד ְשׁ ָﬠֶ ֔רי If there will be among you a needy person, from one of your .7 brothers in one of your cities, in your land the Lord, your God, is ְבּ ַ֨אְר ְצ ֔ ֲא ֶשׁר־ ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֖הי ֹנ ֵ ֣תן ָ ֑ל ֧ל ֹא ְת ַא ֵ ֣מּץ ֶאת־ ְל ָ ֽב ְב ֗ ְו ֤ל ֹא ִת ְק ֹפּ ֙ץ ֶאת־ָי֣ ְ ד ֔ ֵ ֽמ ָא ִ ֖חי ָ ֽה ֶא ְבֽיוֹן: giving you, you shall not harden your heart, and you shall not close your hand from your needy brother.

ח ִֽכּ ָי־פ ֧ ֹתַ ִתּ ְפ ַ ֛תּח ֶאת־ָ ֽי ְ ד ֖ ֑לוֹ ְו ַ ֽה ֲﬠ ֵב ֙ט ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ִב ֶ֔יטנּוּ ֵ֚דּי Rather, you shall open your hand to him, and you shall lend .8

ַמ ְח ֔סֹרוֹ ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ֶי ְח ַ ֖סר ֽלוֹ: .him sufficient for his needs, which he is lacking

ט ִה ָ ֣שּׁ ֶמר ְל ֡ ֶפּן־ִֽי ְהֶי֣ה ָד ָב ֩ר ִﬠם־ ְל ָב ְב ֨ ְב ִלַ֜יּ ַﬠל ֵל ֗ ֹאמר ,Beware, lest there be in your heart an unfaithful thought .9 ָ ֽקְר ָ ֣בה ְשׁ ַנת ַ־ה ֶ֘שּׁ ַב ֘ע ְשַׁ ֣נת ַה ְשּׁ ִמ ָטּ ֒ה ְוָר ָ ֣ﬠה ֵ ֽﬠ ְינ ֗ ",saying, "The seventh year, the year of release has approached ְבּ ָא ִ֨ח ֙י ָ ֽה ֶא ְב֔יוֹן ְו ֥ל ֹא ִת ֵ ֖תּן ֑לוֹ ְו ָקָ ֤רא ָﬠ ֶ֨ל ֙י ֶאל־ ְי ָ ֔הוֹה and you will begrudge your needy brother and not give him, and ְו ָהָ ֥יה ְב ֖ ֵ ֽח ְטא: .he will cry out to the Lord against you, and it will be a sin to you

י ָנ ֤תוֹן ִתּ ֵ ֙תּן ֔לוֹ ְו ֽל ֹא־ ֵיַ ֥רע ְל ָ ֽב ְב ֖ ְבּ ִת ְתּ ֣ ֑לוֹ ִ֞כּי ִבּ ְגַ ֣לל | You shall surely give him, and your heart shall not be .10 grieved when you give to him; for because of this thing the Lord, ַה ָדּ ָ ֣בר ַה ֶ֗זּה ְי ָ ֽבֶר ְכ ֙ ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֔הי ְבּ ָכ ַ ֽל־מ ֲﬠ ֶ֔שׂ וּ ְב ֖כֹל ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֥לח ָי ֶ ֽד: your God, will bless you in all your work and in all your endeavors.

יא ִ ֛כּי ֽל ֹא־ ֶי ְח ַ ֥דּל ֶא ְב֖יוֹן ִמֶ ֣קֶּרב ָה ָ ֑אֶרץ ַﬠ ֵ֞ל־כּן ָ ֽא ֹנ ִ ֤כי .For there will never cease to be needy within the land .11 Therefore, I command you, saying, you shall surely open your ְמ ַצְוּ ֙ ֵל ֔ ֹאמר ָ֠פּ ֠ ֹתַ ִתּ ְפ ַ֨תּח ֶאת־ָ ֽי ְ ד ֜ ְל ָא ִ ֧חי ַ ֽלּ ֲﬠ ִנֶיּ֛ ְוּל ֶא ְבֽיֹ ְנ ֖ ְבּ ַאְר ֶ ֽצ: hand to your brother, to your poor one, and to your needy one in your land.

יב ִֽכּי־ ִי ָמּ ֵ֨כר ְל ֜ ָא ִ ֣חי ָ ֽה ִﬠ ְבִ ֗רי ֚אוֹ ָ ֽה ִﬠ ְבִרָ֔יּה ַ ֽו ֲﬠ ָ ֽב ְד ֖ If your brother, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, is sold .12 ֵ ֣שׁשׁ ָשִׁ ֑נים וּ ַב ָשּׁ ָנ ֙ה ַה ְשּׁ ִב ִ֔יﬠת ְתּ ַשׁ ְלּ ֶ ֥חנּוּ ָח ְפ ִ ֖שׁי ֵ ֽמ ִﬠ ָ ֽמּ: to you, he shall serve you for six years, and in the seventh year you shall send him forth free from you. יג ְו ִֽכ ְי־ת ַשׁ ְלּ ֶ ֥חנּוּ ָח ְפ ִ ֖שׁי ֵ ֽמ ִﬠ ָ ֑מּ ֥ל ֹא ְת ַשׁ ְלּ ֶ ֖חנּוּ ֵר ָ ֽי קם: And when you send him forth free from you, you shall not .13 send him forth empty-handed.

יד ַ ֽה ֲﬠֵ ֤ניק ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ִנ ֙יק ֔לוֹ ִמ ֣צּ ֹ ְאנ ֔ וּ ִמ ָגְּר ְנ ֖ וּ ִמִיּ ְק ֶ ֑ב ֲא ֶ ֧שׁר You shall surely provide him from your flock, from your .14 ֵ ֽבַּר ְכ ֛ ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֖הי ִתּ ֶתּן־ ֽלוֹ: threshing floor, and from your vat, you shall give him from what the Lord, your God, has blessed you

טו ְוָ ֽז ַכְר ָ֗תּ ִ ֣כּי ֶ ֤ﬠ ֶבד ָהִ֨יי ָ֙ת ְבּ ֶ ֣אֶרץ ִמ ְצַ ֔ר ִים ַו ִיּ ְפ ְדּ ֖ ְי ָ ֣הוֹה And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land .15 ֱא ֶ ֑הי ַﬠ ֵ֞ל־כּן ָ ֽא ֹנ ִ ֧כי ְמ ַצְוּ ֛ ֶאת ַ־ה ָדּ ָ ֥בר ַהֶ ֖זּה ַהֽיּוֹם: of Egypt, and the Lord, your God, redeemed you; therefore, I am commanding you this thing today.

טז ְו ָהָי ֙ה ִֽכּי־י ֹ ַ ֣אמר ֵא ֶ֔לי ֥ל ֹא ֵא ֵ ֖צא ֵ ֽמ ִﬠ ָ ֑מּ ִ ֤כּי ֲא ֵ ֽה ְב ֙ ",And it will be, if he says to you, "I will not leave you .16 ְו ֶאת־ ֵבּי ֶ֔ת ִכּ ֥י־טוֹב ֖לוֹ ִﬠ ָ ֽמּ: because he loves you and your household, for it is good for him with you, יז ְו ָ ֽל ַק ְח ָ ֣תּ ֶאת ַ־ה ַמְּר ֵ֗צ ַ ְוָ ֽנ ַת ָ ֤תּה ְב ָאְז ֙נוֹ וּ ַב ֶ֔דּ ֶלת ְו ָהָ ֥יה Then you shall take an awl and put it through his ear and .17 ְל ֖ ֶ ֣ﬠ ֶבד ָ ֑עוֹלם ְו ַ ֥אף ַ ֽל ֲא ָ ֽמ ְת ֖ ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶשׂה ֵ ֽ־כּן: into the door, and he shall be a servant to you forever; and also to your maidservant you shall do likewise.

יח ֽל ֹא־ ִי ְק ֶ ֣שׁה ְב ֵﬠ ֶ֗ינ ְבּ ַשׁ ֵ ֽלּ ֲח ֙ ֹא ֤תוֹ ָח ְפ ִ ֙שׁי ֵ ֽמ ִﬠ ָ֔מּ ִ֗כּי ,You shall not be troubled when you send him free from you .18 for twice as much as a hired servant, he has served you six ִמ ְשׁ ֶנ ֙ה ְשׂ ַ ֣כר ָשׂ ִ֔כיר ֲﬠ ָ ֽב ְד ֖ ֵ ֣שׁשׁ ָשִׁ ֑נים וּ ֵ ֽבַר ְכ ֙ ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֔הי ְבּ ֖כֹל ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֽשׂה: years, and the Lord, your God, will bless you in all that you shall do.

Third Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 15 יט ָכּ ַל־ה ְבּ ֡כוֹר ֲא ֶשׁ ֩ר ִיָוּ ֵ֨לד ִבּ ְבָ ֽ קְר ֤ וּ ְב ֽצ ֹ ְאנ ֙ ַה ָזּ ָ֔כר Every firstborn male that is born of your cattle or of your .19 flock you shall sanctify to the Lord, your God. You shall neither ַתּ ְק ִ ֖דּישׁ ַ ֽל ָ ֣יהוֹה ֱא ֶ ֑הי ֤ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠבֹ ֙ד ִבּ ְב ֣כֹר ֶ ֔שׁוֹר ְו ֥ל ֹא ָת ֖ ֹגז ְבּ ֥כוֹר צ ֹ ֶ ֽאנ : work with the firstborn of your ox, nor shear the firstborn of your flock. כ ִל ְפ ֵנ֩י ְי ָ ֨הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֤הי ֽת ֹ ְאכ ֶ֨ל ֙נּוּ ָשָׁ ֣נה ְב ָשׁ ָ֔נה ַבּ ָמּ ֖קוֹם You shall eat it before the Lord, your God, year by year, in .20

ֲא ֶשׁר־ ִי ְב ַ ֣חר ְי ָ ֑הוֹה ַא ָ ֖תּה וּ ֵבי ֶ ֽת: .the place the Lord chooses-you and your household

כא ְו ִכי־ִֽי ְהֶ֨יה ֜בוֹ ֗מוּם ִפּ ֵ֨סַּ ֙ ֣אוֹ ִﬠֵ֔וּר ֖כֹּל ֣מוּם ָ ֑רע ֣ל ֹא And if there be any blemish in it, whether it be lame, or .21 ִתְז ָבּ ֶ֔חנּוּ ַ ֽל ָ ֖יהוֹה ֱא ֶ ֽהי: blind, or any ill blemish, you shall not sacrifice it to the Lord, your God. כב ִבּ ְשׁ ָﬠֶ ֖רי ֽתּ ֹ ְאכ ֶ ֑לנּוּ ַה ָטּ ֵ ֤מא ְו ַה ָטּ ֙הוֹר ַי ְח ָ֔דּו ַכּ ְצּ ִ ֖בי You shall eat it within your cities, the unclean and the clean .22

ְו ָ ֽכ ַאָ ֽיּל: .together, as the deer, and as the gazelle

כג ַ ֥רק ֶאת ָ־דּ ֖מוֹ ֣ל ֹא ת ֹ ֵ ֑אכל ַﬠ ָל־ה ָ ֥אֶרץ ִתּ ְשׁ ְפּ ֶ ֖כנּוּ However, you shall not eat its blood; you shall pour it on the .23

Fourth Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 16 א ָשׁ ֙מוֹר ֶאת ֣־חֹ ֶדשׁ ָ ֽה ָא ִ֔ביב ְו ָﬠ ִ ֣שׂי ָת ֶ֔פּ ַסח ַ ֽל ָ ֖יהוֹה Keep the month of spring, and make the Passover offering to .1 ֱא ֶ ֑הי ִ֞כּי ְבּ ֣חֹ ֶדשׁ ָ ֽה ָא ִ֗ביב ִ֨הוֹצ ֲיא ֜ ְי ָ ֧הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֛הי the Lord, your God, for in the month of spring, the Lord, your ִמ ִמּ ְצַ ֖ר ִים ָ ֽל ְי ָלה: .God, brought you out of Egypt at night ב ְו ָז ַ ֥ב ְח ָתּ ֶ ֛פּ ַסח ַ ֽל ָ ֥יהוֹה ֱא ֶ ֖הי ֣צ ֹאן וּ ָבָ ֑ קר ַבּ ָמּ ֙קוֹם You shall slaughter the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, your .2 ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ִי ְב ַ ֣חר ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ְל ַשׁ ֵ ֥כּן ְשׁ ֖מוֹ ָ ֽשׁם: God, [of the] flock, and [the Festival sacrifices of the] cattle, in the place which the Lord will choose to establish His Name therein.

ג ֽל ֹא־ת ֹ ַ ֤אכל ָﬠ ָל ֙יו ָח ֵ֔מץ ִשׁ ְב ַ ֥ﬠת ָי ִ ֛מים ֽתּ ֹ ַאכל־ ָﬠ ָ ֥ליו You shall not eat leaven with it; for seven days you shall eat .3 ַמ ֖צּוֹת ֶ ֣ל ֶחם ֑ﬠֹ ִני ִ ֣כּי ְב ִח ָפּ ֗זוֹן ָי ָ֨צ ָ֙את ֵמ ֶ ֣אֶרץ ִמ ְצַ ֔ר ִים with it matzoth, the bread of affliction, for in haste you went out

ְל ַ ֣מ ַﬠן ִתְּז ֗כֹּר ֶאת־ ֤יוֹם ֵ ֽצ ְאת ֙ ֵמ ֶ ֣אֶרץ ִמ ְצַ ֔ר ִים ֖כֹּל ְי ֵ ֥מי of the land of Egypt, so that you shall remember the day when you went out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. ַחֶ ֽיּי:

Fifth Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 16 ד ְול ֹא־ֵ ֽי ָ ר ֶ֨אה ְל ֥ ְשׂ ֛ ֹאר ְבּ ָכ ְל־גּ ֻ ֽב ְל ֖ ִשׁ ְב ַ ֣ﬠת ָי ִ ֑מים And no leaven shall be seen with you within all your border .4 for seven days; neither shall any of the flesh you slaughter on ְו ֽל ֹא־ ָי ִ ֣לין ִמ ַן־ה ָבּ ָ֗שׂר ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ִתְּז ַ ֥בּח ָבּ ֶ ֛ﬠֶרב ַבּ֥יּוֹם ָ ֽהִרא ֖שׁוֹן ַל ֽבֹּ ֶקר: the preceding day in the afternoon, remain all night until the morning. ה ֥ל ֹא תוּ ַ ֖כל ִל ְז ֣בַֹּ ֶאת ַ־ה ָ ֑פּ ַסח ְבּ ַא ַ ֣חד ְשׁ ָﬠֶ ֔רי You shall not sacrifice the Passover offering within any of .5

ֲא ֶשׁר־ ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֖הי ֹנ ֵ ֥תן ָ ֽל: .your cities, which the Lord, your God, is giving you

ו ִכּי ִא ֶם־א ַל־ה ָמּ ֞קוֹם ֲא ֶשׁר־ ִי ְב ַ֨חר ְי ָ ֤הוֹה ֱא ֶ֨ה ֙י Except at the place which the Lord, your God, will choose to .6 establish His Name-there you shall slaughter the Passover ְל ַשׁ ֵ ֣כּן ְשׁ ֔מוֹ ָ ֛שׁם ִתְּז ַ ֥בּח ֶאת ַ־ה ֶ ֖פּ ַסח ָבּ ָ ֑ﬠֶרב ְכּ ֣בוֹא ַה ֶ֔שּׁ ֶמשׁ ֵ ֖מוֹﬠד ֵ ֽצ ְאת ֥ ִמ ִמּ ְצָ ֽר ִים: offering in the afternoon, as the sun sets, at the appointed time that you went out of Egypt.

ז וּ ִב ַשּׁ ְל ָ֙תּ ְו ָ ֣א ַכ ְל ָ֔תּ ַבּ ָמּ ֕קוֹם ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ִי ְב ַ ֛חר ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֖הי And you shall roast [it] and eat [it] in the place which the .7 ֑בּוֹ וּ ָפִ ֣ני ָת ַב ֔בֹּ ֶקר ְו ָ ֽה ַל ְכ ָ ֖תּ ְל ֽ ֹא ָה ֶ ֽלי: Lord, your God, will choose, and you shall turn away in the morning and go to your dwellings. ח ֵ ֥שׁ ֶשׁת ָי ִ ֖מים תּ ֹ ַ ֣אכל ַמ ֑צּוֹת וּ ַב֣יּוֹם ַה ְשּׁ ִב ִ֗יﬠי ֲﬠ ֶ֨צֶר ֙ת For six days you shall eat matzoth, and on the seventh day .8 ַ ֽל ָ ֣יהוֹה ֱא ֶ֔הי ֥ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠ ֶ ֖שׂה ְמ ָל ָ ֽאכה: there shall be a halt to the Lord, your God. You shall not do any work [on it].

Sixth Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 16 ט ִשׁ ְב ָ ֥ﬠה ָ ֽשׁ ֻב ֖ﬠֹת ִתּ ְס ָפּר־ ָ ֑ל ֵ ֽמ ָה ֵ ֤חל ֶחְר ֵמ ֙שׁ ַבּ ָקּ ָ֔מה You shall count seven weeks for yourself; from[the time] the .9 ָתּ ֵ ֣חל ִל ְס ֔ ֹפּר ִשׁ ְב ָ ֖ﬠה ָ ֽשׁ ֻב ֽﬠוֹת: sickle is first put to the standing crop, you shall begin to count seven weeks.

י ְו ָﬠ ִ֜שׂי ָת ַ ֤חג ָ ֽשׁ ֻב ֙עוֹת ַ ֽל ָ ֣יהוֹה ֱא ֶ֔הי ִמ ַ ֛סּת ִנְד ַ ֥בת ,And you shall perform the Festival of Weeks to the Lord .10 ָ ֽי ְ ד ֖ ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ִתּ ֵ ֑תּן ַ ֽכּ ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ְי ָ ֽבֶר ְכ ֖ ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֽהי: your God, the donation you can afford to give, according to how the Lord, your God, shall bless you. יא ְו ָ ֽשׂ ַמ ְח ָ֞תּ ִל ְפֵ ֣ני | ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֗הי ַא ָ֨תּה וּ ִב ְנ ֣ וּ ִב ֶ֘תּ ֘ And you shall rejoice before the Lord, your God, -you, and .11 ְו ַﬠ ְב ְדּ ֣ ַ ֽו ֲא ָמ ֶ֒ת֒ ְו ַה ֵלִּ ֙וי ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ִבּ ְשׁ ָﬠֶ ֔רי ְו ַהֵ ֛גּר ְו ַהָיּ ֥תוֹם your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite who is within your cities, and the ְו ָ ֽה ַא ְל ָמָ ֖נה ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ְבּ ִקְר ֶ ֑בּ ַבּ ָמּ ֗קוֹם ֲא ֶ ֤שׁר ִי ְב ַח ֙ר ְי ָ ֣הוֹה stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are among you, in ֱא ֶ֔הי ְל ַשׁ ֵ ֥כּן ְשׁ ֖מוֹ ָ ֽשׁם: the place which the Lord, your God, will choose to establish His Name therein.

יב ְוָ ֣ז ַכְר ָ֔תּ ִכּי־ ֶ ֥ﬠ ֶבד ָהִ ֖יי ָת ְבּ ִמ ְצָ ֑ר ִים ְו ָ ֽשׁ ַמְר ָ ֣תּ ְו ָﬠ ִ֔שׂי ָת ,And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt .12

ֶאת ַ ֽ־ה ֻחִ ֖קּים ָה ֵ ֽא ֶלּה: .and you shall keep and perform these statutes

Seventh Portion Deuteronomy Chapter 16 יג ַ ֧חג ַה ֻסּ ֛כֹּת ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֥שׂה ְל ֖ ִשׁ ְב ַ ֣ﬠת ָי ִ ֑מים ְבּ ָ֨א ְס ְפּ ֔ You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven .13 ִמ ָגְּר ְנ ֖ וּ ִמִיּ ְק ֶ ֽב: days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.

יד ְו ָ ֽשׂ ַמ ְח ָ ֖תּ ְבּ ַחֶ ֑גּ ַא ָ֨תּה וּ ִב ְנ ֤ וּ ִב ֶ֨תּ ֙ ְו ַﬠ ְב ְדּ ֣ ַ ֽו ֲא ָמ ֶ֔ת ,And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son .14 and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, ְו ַה ֵלִּ֗וי ְו ַהֵ ֛גּר ְו ַהָיּ ֥תוֹם ְו ָ ֽה ַא ְל ָמָ ֖נה ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ִבּ ְשׁ ָﬠֶ ֽרי: and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities. טו ִשׁ ְב ַ ֣ﬠת ָי ִ֗מים ָתּ ֙חֹג ַ ֽל ָ ֣יהוֹה ֱא ֶ֔הי ַבּ ָמּ ֖קוֹם ,Seven days you shall celebrate the Festival to the Lord .15 ֲא ֶשׁר־ ִי ְב ַ ֣חר ְי ָ ֑הוֹה ִ ֣כּי ְי ָ ֽבֶר ְכ ֞ ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֗הי ְבּ ֤כֹל your God, in the place which the Lord shall choose, because the ְתּ ָ ֽבוּא ְת ֙ וּ ְבכֹ ֙ל ַ ֽמ ֲﬠ ֵ ֣שׂה ָי ֶ֔די ְו ָהִ ֖יי ָת ַ ֥א ָשׂ ֵ ֽמַ: Lord, your God, will bless you in all your produce, and in all the work of your hands, and you will only be happy.

טז ָשׁ ֣לוֹשׁ ְפּ ָﬠ ִ ֣מים | ַבּ ָשּׁ ָ֡נה ֵ ֽי ָ ר ֶא ֩ה ָכל־ ְז ֨כ ְוּר ֜ Three times in the year, every one of your males shall .16 ֶאת ְ־פֵּ ֣ני | ְי ָ ֣הוֹה ֱא ֶ֗הי ַבּ ָמּ ֙קוֹם ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ִי ְב ָ֔חר ְבּ ַ ֧חג :appear before the Lord, your God, in the place He will choose ַה ַמּ ֛צּוֹת וּ ְב ַ ֥חג ַה ָ ֽשּׁ ֻב ֖ﬠוֹת וּ ְב ַ ֣חג ַה ֻסּ ֑כּוֹת ְו ֧ל ֹא ֵ ֽי ָ ר ֶ ֛אה on the Festival of Matzoth and on the Festival of Weeks, and on the Festival of Sukkoth, and he shall not appear before the Lord ֶאת ְ־פֵּ ֥ני ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֵר ָ ֽי קם: empty-handed.

יז ִ ֖אישׁ ְכּ ַמ ְתַּ ֣נת ָי ֑דוֹ ְכּ ִבְר ַ ֛כּת ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ֱא ֶ ֖הי ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ,Every] man [shall bring] as much as he can afford] .17 ָ ֽנ ַתן־ ָ ֽל: according to the blessing of the Lord, your God, which He has given you.

Maftir Portion Numbers Chapter 28 כו וּ ְב֣יוֹם ַה ִבּ ִ ֗כּוּרים ְבּ ַה ְקִ ֨רי ְב ֶ֜כם ִמ ְנ ָ ֤חה ֲח ָד ָשׁ ֙ה On the day of the first fruits, when you offer up a new meal .26 offering to the Lord, on your festival of Weeks; it shall be a holy ַ ֽל ָ ֔יהוֹה ְבּ ָ ֽשׁ ֻב ֖ﬠֹ ֵתי ֶ ֑כם ִמ ְקָרא ֨־קֹ ֶד ֙שׁ ִֽי ְהֶי֣ה ָל ֶ֔כם ָכּ ְל־מ ֶ ֥ל ֶאכת ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה ֥ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠ ֽשׂוּ: convocation for you, and you shall not perform any mundane work.

כז ְו ִה ְקַר ְב ֶ֨תּם ָ֜עוֹלה ְלֵ ֤ר ַי ִנ ֨יחַֹ ֙ ַ ֽל ָ ֔יהוֹה ָפִּ ֧רים You shall offer up a burnt offering with a spirit of satisfaction .27 ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָבָ ֛ קר ְשַׁ ֖נ ִ ים ַ ֣אִיל ֶא ָ ֑חד ִשׁ ְב ָ ֥ﬠה ְכ ָב ִ ֖שׂים ְבֵּ ֥ני ָשָׁ ֽנה: to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs in the first year. כח וּ ִ֨מ ְנ ָח ָ֔תם ֖סֹ ֶלת ְבּ ָ ֣לוּלה ַב ָ ֑שּׁ ֶמן ְשׁ ָ ֤לשׁה ֶﬠ ְשׂרֹ ִני ֙ם Their meal offerings [shall be] fine flour mixed with oil; three .28 ַל ָ ֣פּר ָ ֽה ֶא ָ֔חד ְשׁ ֵ֙ני ֶﬠ ְשׂרִֹ֔נים ָל ַ ֖אִיל ָ ֽה ֶא ָ ֽחד: .tenths for each bull and two tenths for the ram

כט ִﬠ ָשּׂ ֙רוֹן ִﬠ ָשּׂ ֔רוֹן ַל ֶ ֖כּ ֶבשׂ ָ ֽה ֶא ָ ֑חד ְל ִשׁ ְב ַ ֖ﬠת ַה ְכּ ָב ִֽשׂים: .One tenth for each lamb, for all seven lambs .29

ל ְשׂ ִ֥ﬠיר ִﬠִ ֖זּים ֶא ָ ֑חד ְל ַכ ֵ ֖פּר ֲﬠ ֵלי ֶ ֽכם: .One young male goat to atone for you .30

לא ִמ ְלּ ַ֞בד עֹ ַ ֧לת ַה ָתּ ִ ֛מיד וּ ִמ ְנ ָח ֖תוֹ ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֑שׂוּ ְתּ ִמי ִ֥מם You shall offer this up besides the continual burnt offering .31 ִֽי ְהיוּ־ ָל ֶ ֖כם ְו ִנ ְס ֵכּ ֶ ֽיהם: and its meal offering they shall be unblemished for you, as well as their libations.

Haftarah Habakkuk Chapter 2 כ ַ ֽו ָ ֖יהוֹה ְבּ ֵהי ַ ֣כל ָק ְד ֑שׁוֹ ַ ֥הס ִמ ָפָּ ֖ניו ָכּ ָל־ה ָ ֽאֶרץ: But the Lord is in His Holy Temple. Silence the whole earth .20 before Him.

Habakkuk Chapter 3

א ְתּ ִפ ָ ֖לּה ַ ֽל ֲח ַב ֣קּוּק ַה ָנּ ִ ֑ביא ַ ֖ﬠל ִשׁ ְגיֹ ֽנוֹת: .A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet concerning the errors .1

ב ְי ָ ֗הוֹה ָשׁ ַ ֣מ ְﬠ ִתּי ִשׁ ְמ ֲﬠ ֘ ָיֵר ִאתי֒ ְי ָ ֗הוֹה ָ ֽפּ ָﬠ ְל ֙ ְבּ ֶ֚קֶרב .O Lord, I heard a report of You; I feared, O Lord, Your deed .2 ָשׁ ִני ֙ם ַחֵ֔יּיהוּ ְבֶּ ֥ קֶרב ָשִׁ ֖נים ִ ֑תּוֹד ַי ְבּ ֖רֹ ֶגז ַר ֵ ֥חם ִתְּז ֽכּוֹר: In the midst of the years, revive it; in the midst of the years, let it be known. In anger You shall remember to have mercy. ג ֱא ֙ל ַ ֙וֹ ִמ ֵתּי ָ ֣מן ָי ֔בוֹא ְו ָק ֥דוֹשׁ ֵ ֽמ ַה ָר־פּ ָ ֖ארן ֶ ֑ס ָלה ִכּ ָ֚סּה ,God came from Teman; yea, the Holy One from Mt. Paran .3 ָשׁ ַ֙מִי ֙ם ֔הוֹדוֹ ְוּת ִה ָלּ ֖תוֹ ָ ֽמ ְל ָ ֥אה ָה ָ ֽאֶרץ: with everlasting might. His glory covered the heavens and His splendor filled the earth.

ד ְ֙ו ֹנ ַג ֙הּ ָכּ ֣אוֹר ִֽתּ ְהֶ֔יה ַקְרַ ֥נ ִ ים ִמָיּ ֖דוֹ ֑לוֹ ְו ָ ֖שׁם ֶח ְב֥יוֹן ֻﬠ ֽזּוֹ And there was a brightness like the light; they had rays from .4

(כתיב ֻﬠ ֽזֹּה) : .His hand, and there was His strength hidden

ה ְל ָפָ ֖ניו ֵי֣ ֶל ָ ֑דּ ֶבר ְו ֵי ֵ ֥צא ֶ ֖ר ֶשׁף ְלַר ְגָ ֽליו: A pestilence went before Him, and sparks went out at His .5 feet. ו ָﬠ ַ ֣מד | ַו ְי ֣ ֹמ ֶדד ֶ֗אֶרץ ָר ָא ֙ה ַו ַיּ ֵ ֣תּר ִ֔גּוֹים ַו ִיּ ְת ֽ ֹפּ ְצ ֙צוּ He stood and meted out to the earth; He saw and caused .6 nations to wander. And the everlasting mountains were ַהְרֵרי־ ַ֔ﬠד ַשׁ ֖חוּ ִגּ ְב ֣ﬠוֹת ָ ֑עוֹלם ֲה ִלי ֥כוֹת ָ ֖עוֹלם ֽלוֹ: shattered; the everlasting hills were humbled. The procedures of the world are His.

ז ַ ֣תּ ַחת ָ֔אֶון ָר ִ ֖אי ִתי ָ ֽא ֳה ֵ ֣לי ָ ֑כוּשׁן ִיְר ְגּ֕זוּן ְיִר ֖יﬠוֹת ֶ ֥אֶרץ Because of iniquity I saw the tents of Cushan; the curtains of .7

ִמ ְדָ ֽי ן: .the land of Midian quaked

ח ֲה ִב ְנ ָהִרי ֙ם ָחָ ֣רה ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ִאם־ ַבּ ְנּ ָהִרי ֙ם ַא ֶ֔פּ ִאם־ ַבָּ ֖יּם Was the Lord angry with the rivers? Is His wrath against the .8 ֶﬠ ְבָר ֶ ֑ת ִ֚כּי ִתְר ַכּ ֙ב ַﬠ ֶ֔ל־סוּסי ַמְר ְכּבֹ ֶ ֖תי ְי ָ ֽשׁוּﬠה: rivers, or His fury against the sea? Only that You rode on Your steeds with Your chariots of salvation.

ט ֶﬠְר ָ֚יה ֵת ֙עוֹר ַק ְשׁ ֶ֔תּ ְשׁ ֻב ֥ﬠוֹת ַמ ֖טּוֹת ֣ ֹא ֶמר ֶ ֑ס ָלה Your bow revealed itself; The oaths to the tribes were a .9

ְנ ָה ֖רוֹת ְתּ ַבַ ֽקּע ָ ֽ־אֶרץ: .perpetual statement; You split the earth into rivers י ָר ֚אוּ ָי ִ֙ח ֙ילוּ ָהִ ֔רים ֶ ֥ז ֶ רם ַ ֖מִים ָﬠ ָ ֑בר ָנ ַ֚ תן ְתּ ֙הוֹם ֔קוֹלוֹ .Mountains saw You and quaked. A stream of water passed .10

֖רוֹם ָי ֵ ֥דיהוּ ָנ ָ ֽשׂא: .The deep gave forth its voice. The heaven raised up its thanks

יא ֶ ֥שׁ ֶמשׁ ָיֵ ֖רַ ָ ֣ﬠ ַמד ְז ֻ ֑ב ָלה ְל ֚אוֹר ִח ֶ֙צּ ֙י ְי ַה ֵ֔לּכוּ ְל ֹ֖נ ַגהּ The sun and the moon stood in their dwellings; to the light .11 ְבַּ ֥רק ֲח ִני ֶ ֽת: of Your arrows they go, to the brightness of the lightning of Your spear.

יב ְבַּ ֖ז ַﬠם ִתּ ְצ ַﬠ ָ ֑ד־אֶרץ ְבּ ַ ֖אף ָתּ֥דוּשׁ ִֽגּוֹים: With fury You tread the earth; with wrath You trample .12 nations.

יג ָי ָ֙צ ָ֙את ְלֵי֣ ַשׁע ַﬠ ֶ֔מּ ְלֵי֖ ַשׁע ֶאת ְ־מ ִשׁ ֶ ֑יח ָמ ַ֚ח ְצ ָתּ You went forth to rescue Your people, to rescue Your .13 ר ֹא ֙שׁ ִמ ֵ ֣בּית ָר ָ֔שׁע ָﬠ ֛רוֹת ְי ֥סוֹד ַﬠד־ ַצָ ֖וּאר ֶ ֽס ָלה: anointed. You have crushed the head of the house of the wicked, uncovering it from the foundation to the neck-forever.

יד ָנ ַ֚ ק ְב ָתּ ְב ַמ ָטּ ֙יו ֣ר ֹאשׁ ְפָּר ָ֔זיו (כתיב ְפָּר ָ֔זו) ִי ְס ֲﬠ ֖רוּ .You pierced the heads of his villages with his war clubs .14 ַ ֽל ֲה ִפ ֵ ֑יצ ִני ֲﬠ ִ ֣ל ֻיצ ָ֔תם ְכּמוֹ־ ֶ ֽל ֱא ֥כֹל ָﬠִ ֖ני ַבּ ִמּ ְס ָ ֽתּר: They storm to scatter me. Their joy was when they could devour a poor one in secret. טו ָדַּ ֥ר ְכ ָתּ ַבָ ֖יּם ֶ ֑סוּסי ֖חֹ ֶמר ַ ֥מִים ַר ִֽבּים: You trampled in the sea with Your steeds, a heap of many .15 waters.

טז ָשׁ ַ ֣מ ְﬠ ִתּי | ַו ִתְּרַ ֣גּז ִבּ ְט ִ֗ני ְל ֙קוֹל ָ ֽצ ְל ֣לוּ ְשׂ ָפ ַ֔תי ָי ֥בוֹא I heard, and my inward parts trembled; my lips quivered at .16 the sound. Decay entered my bones, and I quaked in my place, ָרָ ֛ קב ַ ֽבּ ֲﬠ ָצ ַ ֖מי ְו ַת ְח ַ ֣תּי ֶאְרָ ֑גּז ֲא ֶ֚שׁר ָא֙נ ַ ֙וּ ְל ֣יוֹם ָצָ ֔רה ַ ֽל ֲﬠ ֖לוֹת ְל ַ ֥ﬠם ְי ֶ ֽגוּדנּוּ: that [the time] I would rest is destined for a day of trouble-to bring up a people that will troop back.

יז ִֽכּ ְי־ת ֵאָ ֣נה ֽל ֹא ִ־ת ְפָ ֗רח ְו ֵ֚ אין ְי ֙בוּל ַבּ ְגּ ָפ ִ֔נים ִכּ ֵח ֙שׁ For a fig tree shall not blossom; neither is there produce on .17 the vines. The labor of the olive tree shall fail, and the grain field ַ ֽמ ֲﬠ ֵשׂה־ ַ֔ז ִית ְוּשׁ ֵד ֖מוֹת ל ֹא־ ָ ֣ﬠ ָשׂה ֑ ֹא ֶכל ָגּ ַ֚ זר ִמ ִמּ ְכ ָל ֙ה ֔צ ֹאן ְו ֵ ֥אין ָבָּ ֖ קר ָ ֽבְּר ָפ ִֽתים: ,shall not produce food. יט ֱי ִ֚הוֹה ֲאדָֹ֙ני ֵח ִ֔ילי ַו ָ֚ יּ ֶשׂם ַר ְג ַ ֙לי ָ ֽכּ ַאָיּ ֔לוֹת ְו ַ ֥ﬠל ָ ֽבּ ַ ֖מוֹתי God the Lord is my strength. He made my feet [as swift] as .19 ַי ְדִר ֵ ֑כ ִני ַ ֽל ְמ ַנ ֵ ֖צּח ִבּ ְנ ִג ָ ֽינוֹתי: the hind's, and he guides me on my high places. To the conductor [to play] with my melodies!
