The complete chloroplast (cp) genome of Asteraceae usually occurs in the inversions of two regions. Hence, the cp genome sequences and structures of Asteraceae species are crucial for the cp genome genetic diversity and evolutionary studies. Hence, in this paper, we have sequenced and analyzed for the first time the cp genome size of C. carinatum Schousb and K. indica, which are 149,752 bp and 152,885 bp, with a pair of inverted repeats (IRs) (24,523 bp and 25,003) separated by a large single copy (LSC) region (82,290 bp and 84,610) and a small single copy (SSC) region (18,416 bp and 18,269), respectively. In total, 79 protein-coding genes, 30 distinct transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, four distinct rRNA genes and two pseudogenes were found not only in C. -

Örneklerin daha sonra ITS bölgeleri uygun ITS4 ve ITS5A primerleri kullanılarak polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu (PCR) ile çoğaltımıştır. Switzerland Location Mountains of the European Alpine System. Methods We built a new phylogeny of Primulaceae including all species in three focal groups: Androsace sect. Aretia, Primula sect. Auricula and Soldanella. Combining phylogenetic information with a detailed climatic data set, we investigated patterns of range and ecological overlap between sister-species using an approach that takes phylogenetic uncertainty into account. Finally, we investigated temporal trajectories of diversification in the three focal groups. Results We found that a large majority of sister-species pairs in the three groups are strictly allopatric and show little differences in substrate and cli- matic preferences, a result that was robust to phylogenetic uncertainty. While rates of diversification have remained constant in Soldanella, both Androsace sect. Aretia and Primula sect. Auricula showed decreased diversification rates in the Pleistocene compared to previous geological epochs. Main conclusions Allopatric speciation with little niche divergence appears to have been by far the most common mode of speciation across the three groups studied. -

The seeds were collected mainly in Tibet, Pamir, Alai, Tien Shan, Yunnan, Kamchatka, Sechuan, Kunlun, Karakoram, Sakhalin, Patagonia, Turkey and others. Selected pictures are in my photogallery http://holubec.wbs.cz/ . There is a lot of items that were regenerated in the garden. They are as valuable as the natural collections and can be collected exactly when become ripe. These species proved to be growable in rock gardens in Central Europe. Those items are clearly marked with ex. Some items come from other collectors: Jiri Papousek (JP), Zdenek Obrdlik (ZO) and Jaro Horacek (JH). The plants were determined according to Floras, in case of the recent collections Fl. China, Fl Tajikistan, Fl Kyrgyzstan, Key to the vascular plants of Kamchatka. Some plants were not seen in flowers and therefore it is not possible to guarantee all determination. From previous expeditions there are still available many good items. All seeds are marked with a collecting year. Older ones were stored in refrigerator and they keep a good germination ability (some of them germinate even better the second year). Several abbreviations were used in descriptions: pl- plant, lv, lvs-leaves, fl, fls-flowers, infl-inflorescence. Please, order by both numbers and names to avoid mistakes. Seeds from another locality will be sent when the ordered item is gone. -
