THE TURKIC WORLD WILL CELEBRATE THE YEAR OF YOUTH

Astana hosted the third meeting of the Ministers in charge of Youth and Sports of the Turkic Council. The meeting is aimed at expanding cooperation and strengthening relations between the youth of the Turkic-speaking states. Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdat Amreyev, Minister of Social Development of Darkhan Kaletayev, Minister of Youth and Sport of Mehmet Kasapoglu, Director of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of Kanat Amankulov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport of Ismail Ismailov, President of the International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Kazakhstan Nevzat Uyanik attended the meeting. The issues of holding in 2019the II Forum of Young Leaders of the Turkic Council, the IV International Youth Camp and the III International Youth Festival of the Turkic Council were discussed at the meeting. Opening the meeting, Secretary General Baghdat Amreyev thanked the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Social Development for the support of the events of the Turkic Council. The Secretary-General also noted that the participants of the meeting supported the idea of creating a unified youth platform for the youth of Turkic-speaking states and that it was time to embark on the process of its implementation. “At the Turkic Council summit held in Kyrgyzstan, the heads of state have unanimously agreed to strengthen cooperation between youth organizations and take measures to protect young people from radical ideas. The creation of a single youth platform of Turkic-speaking countries is a unique opportunity to achieve the goals set by the leaders of member states,” said Baghdat Amreyev. “Today every fourth person in Kazakhstan is a youth representative. Therefore, this direction of public policy is in the focus of the President and the Government. Guidance documents and projects aimed at supporting youth are systematically implemented. In order to implement interdepartmental coordination the Committee for Youth and Family Affairs operates in the structure of our Ministry, and the authorized state bodies function in all regions,” said Darkhan Kaletayev, the Minister of Public Development. According to the Minister, there are 210 youth resource centers in the regions, 818 Youth Employment Committees, 549 youth non- governmental organizations. Thus, Kazakhstan is 31st among 189 countries in terms of education index. Kazakhstan ranks 61st out of 183 countries in the global youth development index, while Turkey is 62nd, Kyrgyzstan is 64th and Azerbaijan is 95th. The Minister also said that the Year of Youth can involve all Turkic-speaking countries, not only Kazakhstan. Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Kasapoglu said that Turkey will host the IV International Youth Festival and the World Nomad Games in 2020. “Sport should take special place in youth life. Therefore, it is necessary to intensify the work of youth camps in this direction. Next year, our country plans to host the World Nomad Games, and to hold in 2021. Our relations with Kazakhstan are at a very high level. I am convinced that the members of the Turkic Council will demonstrate their commitment to the upcoming events in the coming year.” At the end of the event, it was approved to hold the 6th Youth Camp of the Turkic Council in Kazakhstan, the 3rd International Youth Festival of the Turkic Council in Turkey, the second sport competitions of the Universities of Turkic-speaking countries (Turkic ) in Kazakhstan in 2020, the 2nd Forum of Young Leaders of Turkic Council in the city of in 2019. It was decided that in 2019 Azerbaijan will host the General Assembly of the Youth Platform of Turkic Council. And the 4th meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Youth and Sports of the Turkic Council will take place in Kyrgyzstan in 2019.

AZERBAIJAN AND PLAN JOINT MANUFACTURING OF SATELLITE

Azerbaijan and Iran have reached an agreement on the joint manufacturing of the Earth probing satellite. The Minister of Communications and Information of Iran, Muhammad Javad Azeri Jahrumi, officially announced this on December 7. According to M. Jahrumi, close ties on cooperation in the field of satellite communications are established between the two countries. In addition, the Minister noted the expansion of cooperation between two neighboring countries in the field of postal communication. “Currently, Iran and Azerbaijan cooperate also in the field of postal communication, and we intend to develop these relations. In the future, we envisage expansion of cooperation in the field of postal financial services,” said M. Jahrumi. Moreover, according to the Iranian minister, he will discuss the prospects for cooperation on the TASİM fiber-optic cable construction project in the framework of the next meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart. It should be noted that at present Azerbaijani Azerkosmos JSC owns two communication satellites Azerspace-1, Azerspace-2 and low-orbit satellite Azersky.

TURKMENISTAN WILL ADOPT THE PROGRAM OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TILL 2025

On December 5, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a statement about the need to adopt a program of new economic development model of until 2025 at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which results of 11 months of the current year were summed up. “At the upcoming meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of the year, we must adopt a program of a new economic model for the development of the country until 2025, which will be the basis for all structural changes in the sectors of the national economy and will bring our independent state to a higher level, will ensure further improvement of the people’s well- being,” G. Berdimuhamedov said. According to the President of Turkmenistan, in order to achieve this each Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, each head of the ministry and the sectoral department must keep under strict control the state of affairs in the supervised area. “You should clearly know how the adopted programs are carried out, what facilities will be built, and most importantly, in what time frame they will be put into operation. ... “This means that in 2019 all heads of ministries and departments are faced with responsible tasks, the successful solution of which should be a sacred duty for each of them. The more efficiently we work, the more we do, the better our people will live, the higher the country's authority will rise,” G. Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

DAYS OF UZBEK CINEMA IN KYRGYZSTAN TOOK PLACE IN

On December 4-5, the of Cinema of in Kyrgyzstan took place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. The event was held in the Manas cinema and the Ch. Aitmatov House of Cinema. The program of the show included three full-length feature films “Rishta” directed by E. Tuichiyev, “Father’s House” directed by A. Gamirov, as well as “In the web of lies” (produced by the Uzbekkino film studio). The event was attended by the Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Uzbekistan, Honored Artist Matyakub Matchonov and the famous Uzbek actor Ulugbek Kadyrov. In addition, on December 5, the premiere of the joint Kyrgyz-Uzbek film “Delbirim” was held at the Cosmopark cinema in Bishkek as part of the Days of Kyrgyz Cinema in Uzbekistan. The show was timed to the 90th anniversary of Ch. Aitmatov.
