2 2009 Highlights for Yorkshire Bred Horses

We have great pleasure in presenting the highlights of 2009 Triple Diamond and in celebrating the achievements of Yorkshire-bred horses in all spheres of equestrianism. We’ll start with in-hand horses and the very popular event horse breeding classes at Bramham. These classes are always hotly contested and this year was no exception with large entries for every class. Chris McGrann’s and Judith Lonsdale’s Brief Encounter-sired colt foal was 2nd, following his firsts in hunter foal classes at Otley and Hambleton. Jane Crossley’s homebred Dancing Revolution (by Yorkshire-based Revolution) won the yearling class and Kath Barley’s filly by Classic out of Drummer’s Dream won the 2 year-old class. The Yorkshire Sport Horse’s annual summer show follows closely on the heels of Diamond Design won his class and the hunter foal Bramham and here again championship at Lincoln followed by a win and reserve Yorkshire breeders were to the championship at the Irish Draught Breed Show. fore.
