A list of the species from Iran belonging to the subfamilies Eulophinae, Entedoninae and Tetrastichinae is presented. In the present work 47 species from 22 genera are recorded from Iran. Two species (Cirrospilus scapus sp. nov. and Aprostocetus persicus sp. nov.) are described as new. A list of 45 host-parasitoid associations in Iran and keys to Iranian species of three genera (Cirrospilus, Diglyphus and Aprostocetus) are included. Zusammenfassung Dieser Artikel zeigt den derzeitigen Untersuchungsstand an eulophiden Wespen und ihrer Wirte im Iran. Eine Liste der für den Iran festgestellten Arten der Unterfamilien Eu- lophinae, Entedoninae und Tetrastichinae wird präsentiert. Mit vorliegender Arbeit werden 47 Arten in 22 Gattungen aus dem Iran nachgewiesen. Zwei neue Arten (Cirrospilus sca- pus sp. nov. und Aprostocetus persicus sp. nov.) werden beschrieben. Gagarina 9: Poland e-mail: ulrichw @ cc.uni.torun.pl 'I'HE HYMENOPTERA OF A DRY MEADOW ON LIMESTONE: SPECIES COMPOSITION, ABUNDANCE AND BIOMASS ABSTRACT: In 1986 and 1988 the hymenopterous fauna of a semixerophytic meadow on lime­ stone near Gottingen (FRG) was studied using ground-photo-eclectors. A total of 4982 specimens be­ longing to 475 different species \vere collected. Extrapolations from double-log functions revealed that there may be as many as 1330 parasitoid species present per year. 455 of the 475 species were parasito­ ids. 155 of them attack dipterans. 48 lepidopterans. 36 beetles. 23 wasps, 22 plant hoppers and 13 ap­ hids. 47 of the species are egg-parasitoids and parasitoids of miners. ectophytophages count for 44 of 2 the \V asp species. The abundance of the wasp fauna was rather high ( 1120 ± 53 in d. m- a- I ( 1986) and 2 1 335 ± 42 ind. m - a- ( 1988). Most abundant were the parasitoids of miners, gall-makers and the egg­ parasitoids. Compared \vith the high abundance the biomass was low. In 1986 the wasps weighed a total 2 1 2 1 of 194 ± 24 n1gDW m- a- and in 1988 only 69 ± 20 mgDW m- a- . The parasitoids of ectophytopha­ gous lepidopterans and coleopterans counted for n1ore than half of the whole biomass. The paper is divided into three parts. In the first part of the research surprised the early period can be placed throughout the XIXth century between Latreille and Dalla Torre. Before this period, references about platygastrids and scelionids were made by Linnaeus and Schrank, they are the ones who described the first platygastrid and scelionid respectively. In this the first period work entomologists as: Haliday, Westwood, Walker, Forster, Ashmead, Thomson, Howard, etc., the result of their work being the description of 699 scelionids species which are found quoted in Dalla Torre's catalogue. The second part of the paper is devoted to early 20th century. This vibrant work is marked by the work of two great entomologists: Kieffer and Dodd. In this period one publish the first and only global monograph of platygastrids and scelionids until now. In this monograph are twice the number of species than in Dalla Torre's catalogue which shows the magnitude of the systematic research of those moments. The third part of the paper refers to the late 20th and early 21st century.

Chrysocharidia Erdos synonymised with Achrysocharis Girault by Boucek [4], he actualized that the character given for Chrysocharidia by Erdos, the length of apical fringe in wings, varied intraspecifically. Kamijo [5] and Boucek [6] individually exposed [7] that Achrysocharis was a synonym under Chrysonotomyia, after that Boucek and Graham placed Achrysocharella Girault as a synonym under Chrysonotomyia.

Country level data (i.e. occurrence in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the Isle of Man) is reported where known. New information A total of 1754 British and Irish Chalcidoidea species represents a 22% increase on the number of British species known in 1978. The infestation of fruit borer, Cadra cautella (Walker) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) was observed in ber fruits at Fruit Research Farm, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana during November-December. About 10% fruits of variety Sanaur were observed to be infested by black larvae making tunnels inside fruits. The pest is widespread in the stored conditions infesting stored cereals, dry fruits in warehouses but as far as field is concerned, this is the first report of field infestation of ber fruits from Punjab as well as in India. PALABRAS CLAVE: Eulophidae, Entedoninae, parasitoides, México. Eulophidae is one of the largest families of Chalcidoidea. The family is cosmopolitan in distribution, and includes about 3400 described species in about 280 genera. In the Nearctic region about 600 species -in 110 genera are known (Schauff et al., 1997). The family is comprised of 4 subfamilies: Entedoninae, Euderinae, Eulophinae and Tetrastichinae. The Entedoninae is very rich in number and diversity of species and has economic importance in biological control of pests. Sorne authors have referred to it as Entedontinae (e.g. Yoshimoto, 1973a, 1973b, 1977,1978; Burles, 1979; Subba Rao & Hayat, 1985; Hansson, 1985, 1990); and others as Entedoninae (Boucek, 1988; Schauff, 1991; La Salle & Parrella, 1991; Triapitsyn & Headrick, 1995; Hansson, 1995 a, 1995b, 1996 a, 1996 b, 1997 b; Schauff et al.
