The Council had identified a substantial portfolio of land and property surplus to their operational requirements. These are mainly residential-led, divided into an initial tranche of 12 sites, an additional 40 sites at various stages of planning and further sites including two urban extensions with the potential for 6,000 homes. In selecting the partner, the Council’s outcomes were to optimise capital returns, generate long term revenue streams, drive the pace of development and develop a quality brand. The preferred partner was selected in early 2018. 9 SERVICES PROVIDED STRATEGIC CONSULTANCY RETAINED PROPERTY ADVISOR We were appointed in 2014 by the County Council to act as their property adviser in relation to their property portfolio of over 800 assets. The firm’s role encompasses strategic advice in relation to the Council’s operational estate, investment advisory services, property and asset management advice in relation to assets under the Council’s ownership together with valuation, building surveying, landlord & tenant and acquisitions and disposal on the Council’s behalf. There are a number of high profile town centre regeneration programmes on which we advise for the Council including the Waterside North scheme in central Aylesbury which is centred on the Grade II* Old County Hall. 10 carterjonas.co.uk10 carterjonas.co.uk 11 12 carterjonas.co.uk X SERVICES PROVIDED PLANNING CONSULTANCY SUSTAINABLE URBAN EXTENSION We were instructed to advise on the sustainable urban extension of Milton Keynes.
