    Guitar Heroes Festival Zed Mitchell & Band Krissy Matthews Band Zed & Ted Bereits seit 2006 tourt das "Guitar Heroes Festival" quer durch Deutschland und hat dabei einige der besten Gitarristen der Welt zusammen geführt. So traf zum Debüt der seinerzeit noch weitgehend unbekannte JOE BONAMASSA auf einen der schnellsten Slide-Gitarristen der Welt die Woodstock-Legende JOHNNY WINTER. Joe Bonamassa nutzte seine Chance, ist heute der neue Stern unterm Bluesrock-Himmel und füllt selbst den Stadtpark in Hamburg mühelos. Im Laufe der Jahre gaben sich dann MICK TAYLOR (Ex-Rolling Stones, John Mayall, Bob Dylan), POPA CHUBBY, WALTER TROUT, ALVIN LEE, BARRY McCABE, ERIC SARDINAS, DANNY BRYANT, GWYN ASHTON, BILLY WALTON u.a.m. in verschiedenen Städten der Republik die Ehre. So gehörten gleich mehrfach Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig und München zu den Gastgeberstädten, aber auch in Münster, Dortmund, Nürnberg, Hannover, Frankfurt und einigen Orten mehr konnten sich die Fans an den stets tollen Künstlern dieser Festivalreihe erfreuen. Seit 2 Jahren ist nun auch Joldelund fester Bestandteil dieses Blues-Rock-Highlights. In diesem Jahr gastieren beim "Guitar Heroes Festival" in Joldelund der Saitenmagier ZED MITCHELL aus dem ehemaligen Jugoslawien (heute Serbien), sowie der britische Ausnahmegitarrist KRISSY MATTHEWS. Eröffnet wird die Power-Nacht vom Duo ZED & TED. Zed Mitchell Er besitzt die Fähigkeit, jede Saite einer Gitarre mit einer persönlichen Note zu spielen. So lässt der Saitenmagier sein Instrument mal rocken, dann virtuos klingen oder melancholische Klangteppiche weben. Wenn Zed Mitchell spielt, erklingt Bluesmusik mit einer inspirierenden Facette. Der aus dem ehemaligen Jugoslawien stammende Gitarrist, Sänger und Komponist Zed Mitchell zählt zu den bekanntesten und bedeutendsten Gitarristen in Europa.

All are invited to participate in this meeting. Find out find out what we have accomplished this year. Come tell us about your concerns, give us your ideas on how the board can make your organization better work for you. Better yet, become a volunteer or put your name on the ballot and run for a position on the board of directors. Write-ins are welcome. We currently have four open positions: Vice President, Treasurer, Webmaster, and Volunteer Coordinator. For complete info see page 3 this issue. Printout the ballot and bring with you to the meeting or get one there. If you like, we will give those of you that wish to run for a position a few moments to tell everyone about yourself and qualifications. You must be a current member to run for office or vote.
