Date Designation Assistant Manager – Cities, Infrastructure and Growth Location New Delhi, India Employment Type Regular (Regular/Contractual) Grade TBD Reporting to Sk Salim Altaf (Sr. Manager) About Department and Project (if Business Development and Programme Management applicable) Job Responsibilities, IPE Global seeks an experienced professional to serve as Assistant Manager – Business Skills and Development (BD) and Programme Management (PM) for IPE Global Delhi Office. S/he Competencies will work in close coordination with our Central, Sectoral and World-wide Team based out of our India, Africa, Bangladesh, Nepal, UK, Philippines & Myanmar offices and will support the team in the overall business development and project execution. S/he will also play an important role in supporting IPE Global’s wider business growth plans specifically in the urban development sector in India, South East Asia, Nepal, Central Asia & the Pacific. General Responsibility: • Tracking business development opportunities in the allocated sector & closing deals on new business & account management • Supporting in day to day business development & project management function including providing technical inputs to the preparation of proposals and reports • Developing business plans – targeting high potential clients, pitching presentations and developing outreach materials • Networking and liaising with other stakeholders in the sector • Preparing presentations/credentials and presenting IPE Global at various levels • Participating in creative development process, taking briefs and communicating clearly to the team Key Responsibilities Areas: • Co-ordinate and Manage the preparation of EOI/Proposals: o Identification of business opportunities in the sector and region. o Prepare summary and key points of opportunities. o Ensure compliance of proposal as per tender requirements and support on preparation of EoI’s and Proposals o Provide backend support to other teams and IPE Global offices in India, Africa and the UK. o Maintenance of database of key experts and companies. o Identification and sourcing of experts. o Develop and customize profiles/CVs of key experts as per bid requirements of the ToR. o Arrange proposal meetings, prepare detailed program of inputs and deadlines, pre-bid queries. • Co-ordinate and support Project Management: o Support on the project management and execution. o Prepare technical sections, write-ups, presentation and pitch o Sector & project-based research and draft reports Job Description IPE Global Limited o Maintain good working relationship with the other companies present in the sector. o Follow up with external consultants and obtain detailed information and negotiate for professional fees both at bidding and contracting stage. o Monitor progress in preparation of proposal and project deliveries. o Maintain strong relationships with associates/technical writers. o Co-ordinate production and timely submission of proposals and project reports Other duties to consider: (i) Present and attend seminars, exhibitions and network meetings. (ii) Prepare information brochures and publicity materials related to projects. (iii) Monitoring and updating of Project Data Sheets. (iv) Obtain Project completion certificates from client in collaboration with project manager. (v) Updating and distribution of Marketing Material and Reviews. (vi) Supporting development of business plan – targeting high potential clients, pitching presentations and developing materials to reach these clients. (vi) Identifying new prospects and develop a network/relationship with other consultancy firms, institutions and individuals working in the sector. (vii) Closing deals on new business & revenue management – staying involved with new key clients through the bidding process. (viii) Developing case studies, project notes, developing policy briefs etc. Qualification & • Post Graduate in Planning/ Management/ Engineering/International Experience Development, or related fields. (Mandatory and • Management Degree in related areas preferred. Desirable) • 3-7 years of Experience of Management in Urban & Infrastructure sector related projects in consulting sector. • Experience of working in a multi-sectoral environment would be preferred. • Sound knowledge of working with bilateral and multilateral funding agencies like ADB, WB, etc. • Development of business strategies for key projects. • BD & PM activities along with development of technical sections • Excellent word processing and computer skills (Microsoft Office suite of programs). • Excellent personal organization skills (including prioritizing tasks). • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to work with minimum level of supervision • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic teams. • Sound knowledge of sector regulatory mechanism and standard procedures Page 2 of 2 .
