TheThe ShriekShriek Greeting Nobles, I want to thank all the units and clubs that worked our famous fish fry’s. The nobles and their ladies really did a great job. I know it is a lot of work. In addition, takes some dedication to show up and make it happen each and every Friday. (7 weeks to be exact!). Our shrine center has a great fellowship. There are many of our APRIL nobles and their families that come out and support our center. Seeing the familiar and smiling faces warms your heart. That’s what it’s all about. 2018 Potentate: I would like to take a minute to congratulate Ted Cline for being elected to the position Greg Pelfrey of trustee. He was sworn in Monday night March 12 by III. Sir Kenny Harper. Ted is Chief Rabban: taking Dave Spark’s position for the remainder of the year. Thank you to Ted and Dave Tim Redrow Ormes for stepping up and accepting the challenge of filling Sparky’s obligations as Assistant Rabban: Chief Aide. Jerry A. Ulm High Priest and Prophet: Tony Bowling The parade season has kicked off with the St. Patrick’s Day parade. We had a good Oriental Guide: Don Brockman turnout. The 2nd Annual Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Parade will take place on Saturday, April 7th @ 10:00am. Our next big parade is Pigeon Forge Fun Fest. This is a great Treasurer: Clifford E. Fullman weekend to spend with your family and shrine family. Recorder: Gary Caudill We realize the success of our temple depends on the efforts of our nobles and ladies alike.

MAY The Shriek 2016 GREEETINGS NOBLES AND LADIES. By the time this Shriek is published and If you consider the dark period of 2 months in July and August we are not far from this year being 2/3 over. There will be a huge crowd in Pigeon Forge this year, as well as a demanding parade season. The Imperial Session is coming up. The last 4 months of 2016 will be even busier Another Ceremonial, Family Picnic, Car and Bike, and more along with Halloween Festivities, followed by more Holiday Festivities. The Motorcycle Raffle will be at its peak demand needing nobles to sell and purchase tickets prior to the final drawing at the yearend Christmas Party. A Bengal Bash and a Dance of some type are being discussed. Please pay Special Attention to the Paper Crusade this year. Tony Bowling has stepped up to make it happen. Let’s get it back where it used to be. Thank you Tony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have a great year going so far in 2016. I want to thank all those that have worked so hard and contributed to our success thus far. A tremendous amount of energy has been expelled doing the things we do. And the need to do more is obvious. That brings me to mentioning the 37 new nobles that came in in 2015 and the 25 or so that have joined us so far in 2016. We need your help!!!!! YOU obviously joined to be active in some way!!!!!! The 2015 ceremonial was in November; The 2016 ceremonial is in June of 2016.

  • Worship Brainstorming Summary
Worship Brainstorming Summary May-June 2019 – Season Easter Series: Children’s Sunday & “STOP IT! (In the Name of Love)” 2019 theme: Love God and love your neighbor Monday, April 8, 2019 Members present: Marie Kordecki, Vicki Zuker, Lynne Richmond, Barb Gripton, Jean Kelly, Pastor Mary, Jim Post, Karen Post, Carole Koch, Larry Jorgenson, Betty Kinney, Diane Thompson, Karen Booth --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most of us may remember being told “stop doing that” as children. Whether at home or school or somewhere else, we’re often told what NOT to do. As parents and caregivers, we may find ourselves saying, “Stop it!” or redirecting behavior often. As we seek to be faithful to Jesus, we may be the ones hearing “stop it!” in order for the Good News of God’s love to be clearer to the world. After the celebration of the joy resurrection and new life on Easter Sunday, what do we do? In light of the gift of salvation that is ours in Jesus, how do we offer an effective witness to what Jesus’ saving love looks like? Jesus calls us to go into the world and make disciples, but we need to check ourselves as we interact with others. What do we need to stop doing so that we can love God and others more authentically in the name of Jesus - the Risen Savior? We’ll use the letters in the New Testament written to early Christians to focus on what we need to stop doing (and start doing) to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
