Alter Boy IPA (American Style Indian Pale Ale, a strong sweet & bitter beer for folks looking for something different) 2. Simply Red Brown (Nice basic brown ale for folks who like a simple beer) 3. Fuqawee Stout (A basic winter stout with a little kick. After a few of these one might ask oneself, “Fuqawee?”) 4. Big Shaker Brown (Smooth brown ale with a sweet finish but without too much complexity) 5. Fatty’s sour cider (Beyond description) After a very short run, there will be live music and a sauna and probably too much beer. Walk 300 m up Åkebergveien, the entrance to Eiriks gt 2 A is just before the 2 nd street on the L. Drivers: Not recommended. In fact positively discouraged. If you still insist, get onto Ring 2 and turn off it down Åkebergveien near Jordal/Galgeberg. Parking is usually very difficult so take the first vacant slot and walk the rest. Allow 15 mins extra to find parking. The hares will make this a shortish run with a single, push-chair-friendly trail for both runners and walkers. Short cuts where necessary. One, common, drink stop. Practices, relations and aspirations among youth in Hovseter and Røa. http://www.duo.uio.no/ Trykk: Reprosentralen, University of Oslo II Abstract This aim of this thesis is to explore how youth life unfolds in Hovseter and Røa, two neighbouring areas characterised by social and spatial contrasts. Located in Oslo’s affluent West End, Hovseter stands out in this social and spatial landscape of detached and semi-detached houses and upper-middle-class ethnic majority residents due to its higher share of working-class and ethnic minority residents, tall apartment blocks, and social housing apartments. Policies on social mix in the Norwegian welfare state constitute the context for the thesis, in which policymakers aim to counter segregation and encourage social and cultural integration by promoting a diversity of social groups within neighbourhoods. Through the urban area programme Hovseterløftet, a youth club was initiated in order to promote social mixing and social bonds between working-class minority ethnic youths from Hovseter and upper-middle- class majority ethnic youths from Røa. This aim was in line with policies on social mix, in which policymakers assume that youth with less social and economic resources will benefit from creating social relationships with more resourceful peers. It was this particular context that motivated me to ask how social and spatial differences materialised in the daily lives of youths from Hovseter and Røa, how these differences influenced social interactions and relations, and lastly, how they affected the youths’ perceptions of school and their educational aspirations.

Gjennom Stortingets vedtak av klimaforliket og gjeldende NTP er det besluttet en nasjonal målsetning om at veksten i persontransporten skal tas med kollektivtransport, sykkel og gange. For å nå dette målet kreves prioritering av myke trafikanter og kollektivtransport, og dette er spesielt viktig for byområdene som Bærum er en del av. I Bærum har utviklingen gått i feil retning. Fra 2013 til 2015 har biltrafikken økt med 5% og andelen som går og sykler har gått ned henholdsvis 5% og 1%. Kollektivandeleden har gått opp med 2%. Ledig kapasitet på kollektiv. Generelt sett er det bedre kapasitet i det skinnegående linjenettet vest for Oslo enn på tilsvarende strekninger øst og sør for Oslo. Dette gjelder særlig T-banelinjene og lokaltoget. Det ligger derfor godt til rette for å fortette rundt alle stoppestedene Bærum. Kollektivtilbudet mot Oslo er generelt bra, men det er utfordringer nord-sør. På strekningen i Bærum har Østeråsbanen svært god plass i togene, og lav utnyttelse av tilbudt kapasitet. Kolsåsbanen har i rush relativt høyt belegg. Fornebubanen vil gi et svært godt tilbud når denne blir bygd. Det vanligste er å bo og jobbe i Bærum.
