L'activitat pesquera segueix extraient

1111 2 Global Nomads 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 1011 1 2 A uniquely ‘nomadic ethnography,’ Global Nomads is the first in-depth treat- 3111 ment of a counterculture flourishing in the global gulf stream of new electronic 4 and spiritual developments. D’Andrea’s is an insightful study of expressive indi- vidualism manifested in and through key cosmopolitan sites. This book is an 5 invaluable contribution to the anthropology/sociology of contemporary culture, 6 and presents required reading for students and scholars of new spiritualities, 7 techno-dance culture and globalization. 8 Graham St John, Research Fellow, 9 School of American Research, New Mexico 20111 1 D'Andrea breaks new ground in the scholarship on both globalization and the shaping of subjectivities. And he does so spectacularly, both through his focus 2 on neomadic cultures and a novel theorization. This is a deeply erudite book 3 and it is a lot of fun. 4 Saskia Sassen, Ralph Lewis Professor of Sociology 5 at the University of Chicago, and Centennial Visiting Professor 6 at the London School of Economics. 7 8 Global Nomads is a unique introduction to the globalization of countercultures, 9 a topic largely unknown in and outside academia. Anthony D’Andrea examines 30111 the social life of mobile expatriates who live within a global circuit of counter- 1 cultural practice in paradoxical paradises. 2 Based on nomadic fieldwork across Spain and India, the study analyzes how and why these post-metropolitan subjects reject the homeland to shape an alternative 3 lifestyle. They become artists, therapists, exotic traders and bohemian workers seek- 4 ing to integrate labor, mobility and spirituality within a cosmopolitan culture of 35 expressive individualism.

With golden sands, glorious sunsets and alluring coves, plus an abundance of picturesque towns and villages, Ibiza is likely to beguile and surprise many sceptics with its beauty and culture. Of course, there are still superstar DJs arriving en masse each summer to keep crowds of revellers dancing until the early hours, but Ibiza has been getting more in touch with its late 1960’s hippy roots in recent years, with more laid-back parties and cabaret becoming increasingly fashionable again. And those looking to unwind on a relaxing beach holiday are just as welcome and accommodated for in the town. Part of the Balearic Islands which includes the considerably larger Mallorca, Menorca, and tiny Formentera, Ibiza sits in the Mediterranean Sea, 79km (49 miles) from the city of Valencia on the Spanish mainland. Despite officially being a part of Spain, Ibiza is largely autonomous in both its government and in spirit. The island’s main municipality, known widely as Ibiza Town (though it is actually a city), sits on the southeastern coast and is a charming place full of chic boutiques, fancy bars and an enticing marina lined with yachts and high-end cuisine.

This new genus is characterized by a number of extraordinary features in the male and female genitalia, and also in the pattern of larval setation. In the male genitalia, there is a uniquely asymmetrical and intersecting gonapsis; in the female genitalia, a bursa-vela connector, vaginal frame and laminate link are present; and in the first instar, secondary setae occur on both thoracic and abdominal segments. The type species of the monotypic genus is Chrysopa kichijoi Kuwayama, 1936. It is redescribed with emphasis on the adult abdominal hypodermal coloration, female terminalia, and larval morphology (first and third instars), all of which were previously unknown. Several features of the new genus are compared with those of other genera: (i) the mor- phology of the gonapsis in relation to the dorsal membrane of the 9th sternite (ii) the morphology of newly described features (bursa-vela connector, vaginal frame and laminate link), and (iii) the first and third instar patterns of setation. Key words: Chrysopini, genitalia, Japan, kichijoi, Korea, Kuwayamachrysa, larval setation, new combination, new genus, Russian Far East.
