Ion Vinea: a Rebellious Publicist and a Cautious Writer
Iulian BOLDEA, Cornel Sigmirean (Editors), DEBATING GLOBALIZATION. Identity, Nation and Dialogue ION VINEA: A REBELLIOUS PUBLICIST AND A CAUTIOUS WRITER Ioana Mihaela Bardoși-Vultur PhD, ”Petru Maior” University of Tîrgu Mureș Abstract: Like other avant-garde writers, Ion Vinea began his apprenticeship at magazines like Simbolul, Facla or Chemarea. During 1922-1932, he became director at Contimporanul. This leading part meant a lot for the literary orientation that he had embraced. His literary creed promoted absolute creative freedom without traditional rules, without principles and without any feelings. This paths were meant not only for the publicist, but also for the writer, although the poet had a conciliatory side. After a short reading of his avant-garde poems, we can say that his work reflects an approach to the avant-garde constructivism, but it has a nostalgic allure. -
The Identity of the Romanian Pre-Avant-Garde
Cuvinte cheie: Pre-avangardă, anti-tradiţionalism, manifest poetic, post-simbolism, program- articol, arhitext Abstract: In the evolution and dialectics of the literary phenomenon at the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX century we can note a period of artistic fizzle, of confirming literary currents and movements, that vehemently deny the tradition and which, through some important elements, shall announce the historical avant-garde. We are referring to a series of artistic and literary currents, with a set of similar features, having a fetish for the shocking novelty and bracketing of the established and generally accepted values, without having the force of penetration, aggressiveness, coherence and spreading of the actual avant-garde: the fauvism, cubism, futurism, imagism, vorticism and others. Keywords: Pre-avantgarde, anti-traditionalism, poetic manifest, post-symbolist, programme- article, archi-text. -

Romanian Spirituality in Vatican Radio Broadcasts (1969-1970)21
ROMANIAN SPIRITUALITY IN VATICAN RADIO BROADCASTS (1969-1970)21 Carmen Ionela BANTA, PhD Lecturer, Faculty of Letters University of Craiova Abstract: This study brings into focus some thematic programs where Romanian spirituality is present in the Romanian language program of Vatican Radio during the years 1969-1970. Much of the lectures are supported by Monsignor Octavian Bârlea, priest Flavius Popan or teacher Mircea Popescu. The themes are current, meditative, and full of spiritual meanings. Key words: Vatican Radio, spirituality, Romanian. Vatican Radio was founded to be in the service of the Pope, the Church and humanity. Therefore, it has a function of religious communication intended for religious Catholic Church, but his service always covered much wider horizon of issues, with particular attention to the issue of peace, religious freedom, human rights, dialogue between religions and the Christian confessions. Being a bridge of communication with the world, Vatican Radio is a "forum for meeting and exchange of views in which people have to find their own place so they can speak." The primary purpose of Vatican Radio is to promote the biblical message in social plan in the whole world, to highlight and contextualize shades reported to cases, specific events of communities, countries, regions of the Christian world, constantly emphasizing the authority of the Holy See through the legitimate voice of the Pope. Romanian spirituality emerges through the programs which were broadcasted on Vatican Radio ever since March, 1947, when it is established the department in Romanian. It was among the top ten linguistic programs which transmitted religious programs, but also programs which promoted Romanian socio cultural subjects. -

European Integration - Realities and Perspectives 2010 The Newspaper Editorial Board, the Strength of the Journalistic Success (The Case of Curentul ) Fănel Teodora şcu Danubius University of Galati, Faculty of Communication Sciences, teodorascu.fanel@univ- danubius.ro Abstract: Curentul newspaper and Pamfil Seicaru, its owner and director, practically changed the interwar journalism. The editorial board was made up of well-known journalists, with extensive experience and a special polemic verve. Due to them, Curentul newspaper soon became a distinctive voice in the interwar media, its sources of information being among the most consistent and extensive. As a consequence, Seicaru’s newspaper held a primacy of information during that age, being a paper of wide circulation, moulding the public to like sensational and shocking news, those who read it accidentally. In one way or another, the journalistic method of the editorial staff is similar in many ways to that of a tabloid as it was conceived in the interwar years. At the same time, Curentul was a real newspaper of civic opinion and firm political attitude, despite some ideological and inherent derailments in the interwar years preceding the Second World War. Keywords: audience; editorial; ideology; journalism; blackmail Curentul newspaper is one of the most interesting journalistic achievements of interwar Romania. A few years after its establishment, the newspaper competed with Stelian Popescu’s Universe , “the most influential and wealthy press tycoon in interwar Romania” (Ciachir, 2008, p. 23). The journal founded by Pamfil Seicaru enjoyed a warm welcoming from readers even from its first issues and the success came as a result of the efforts made by the owner to hire experienced journalists and editors popular among the public. -
Cci3 Literature 746 Ion Vinea – Symbolist Lyrical Avatars
CCI3 LITERATURE ION VINEA – SYMBOLIST LYRICAL AVATARS Alina Manea (Dumitra), PhD Student, University of Pitești Abstract : The research of Ion Vinea's poetry shows that the absence of poetic occurrences in a volume relies in his (re) creator spirit , tireless quest of perfect poetic experiment, in the permanently proven doctrinal discretion, as the affinity with romanticism, symbolism, expressionism, romanticism, constructivist avant-agarde was declared with moderation and within clear aesthetic purposes. In the poetry of Ion Vinea, the symbol acquires private notes, thanks to its numerous significations, in the author's vision. Both diurnal and nocturnal poet, Vinea proposes a “deterioration” of the meanings of the symbols so that a transfer occurs from”positive” to “negative” and vice versa, all leading to the Vague of the “significance” towards “hybridization” of the mood and, why not, towards the reassessment of human experiences, in terms of the forces exerted by the opposites. To this end, we identify a set of symbols reclaimed by Vinea: existential void, sun, moon, night, shadow, raven, ghost, hanged man, crying, the ark, colors, musical instruments, etc., all in the unique rhythms of the mankind existence. Beyond the symbols, reality is perceived syneasthesically and in “correspondences” reminiscent of French symbolism that will focus on the concept of a “voyant” (“visionary poet”) recognizable in I. Vinea's poetry. Thus, symbols, synaesthesia, correspondences, Rimbaudian effects, all manage to give the reader the pleasure to discover the lyric “avatars” of I. Vinea. Keywords: symbol, hybridization, correspondences, syneasthesically, “voyant”. În condițiile în care Vinea este adeptul cercetării continue a expresiei, nu este de mirare că singurul volum de poezie antumă apare abia îm 1964 (anul morții), la Editura pentru Literatură, București, la 52 de ani de la debutul din 1912. -
