This seminarreport contains 11 chapters,which are concerned with thefollowing topics: The Purposes of theSeminar; A Survey of the CurrentSituation in Music Education; Basic Musicianship for the Music Educator; ALiberal Education for tne Music Educator; Performance and theMusic Educator; Preparing the Music Educator to Use the Musicof His Own and Other Cultures;The Professional Education of the MusicEducator: The Techniques of Teaching; Special Aids for MusicTeachers; Research and Teacher Education; Music Education for theClassroom Teacher; and Evaluation, Interpretation and Recommendations.
