I have been involved with the event since 1999 and was entrusted with the overall coordinator position in 201l. To follow, everyone heads to the shade at Kearvaiki (the Lahaina Banyan Tree) for two days of 20, 2019 fune hoblaule'a (festivities). - 9:45am Pau Parade, Kenui St. to Shaw The pa'u rider is the physical manifestation of the unification of Hawaii by St. along Front Street Kamehameha the Great. Pa'u riding is an equestrian slvle, created in Hawaii when June 20 &21,2020 horse were first introduced to the islands as a gift to King Kamehameha. Princesses - 9am - 5pm are bedecked with yards ofbeautif'ul satin and lei. Even there horses are covered in Hoolaulea, Keawaiki, Banyan lei. Significantly, they ride along the same street that Kamehameha and his family Tree Park once walked while Lahaina was the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii.
Mokuula Back Lot The hoblauleh is hosted in partnership with the Lahaina Town Action Committee 9am-2pm and the Lahaina Hawaiian Civic Club. Our committee lvould like to requesting the Maui County Parks and Recreation Department allow our event to have (20) vendors at our hoblauleh to help with event overhead; and have said department recommend a (3) year event approval from the Cultural Resource Commission.
