Serui Language is spoken on the southeast coast of Japen and on the islands off that coast, lhere may bo 9000 speakers of the various dialects' Of Se^tii^' Serui Language data was given by Max Wondiwoy and recorded by Joyce Sterner in December, 1972 at Jayapura, Irian Jayia* KETAWEDYA Metawedya Language is spoken on the north coast of Irian Jaya in the Apawar-Tor River areas, but the exact location and number of speakers is unknown. Mc-tawedya Language Sata was given by Betrus and recorded by James Dean in August, 1972 at Kwekwet. ISIRAWA Isirawa Language is spoken on the north ocast of Irian Jaya. Its villages extend west from Sarmi almost as far as the Apawar River. There may be 1600 speakers of Isirawa. Isirawa Language data was given h y Sebnot Scyamor and recorded by Robert Sterner in March, 1973 at Mararena village just east of Sarmi. SQB3I Sobei Language is spoken on the north coast in Sarmi, _ Bagaiserwar, and Sawar. There may be 1500 speakers of Sobei. Sobei Language data was given by Josias Marbo, from Sawar, and recorded by Robert Sterner in March, 1973 at Jayapura. KWESTEN Kwesten Language is spoken by several villages at the mouth of the Tor River. There may be 400 speakers of Kwesten. Kwesten Language data was recorded by Norman Draper in March, 1973 at Mafentor village. ICWEPKB Kwepke is a village on the north coast in the Apawar-Tor itiver areas, hut the language name, exact location and number of speakers is unknown. Language data was given by Danehi and recorded by James . - Dean in August, 1972 at Kwepke. BERIK Berik Language is spoken on the north coast in villages along the Tor River. There may be 600 speakers of Berik. Berik language data was given by Martinus from Dangken and recorded by Peter Westrum in December, 1972 at Jayapura. WAKDB Wakdc Language is spoken c.:i V/akde Island and Wakde village on the north coast. There may be 400 speakers of V/akde. Wakde Language data was given by Minase Manyerom and recorded by Peter Westrum in March, 1973 at Jfekdaalglands-n.s. MASIMASI Masimasi Language is spoken on Masimasi Island and the village of the same name on the north coast. There may be 50 speakers of Ilasimasi.. Masimasi Language data was given by Sander and Tamer and recorded by Norman Draper in March, 1973 at Masimasi Island. KEDER Keder Language is spoken on the north coast in Keder village, east of the Tor River. There may be 250 speakers of Keder. Keder Language daua was given by Cost ant Marwa from Keder, and recorded by Joyce Sterner in December 1972, and January 1973, at Jayapura® Beneraf Language i3 spoken in the village of the sane name east of the Tor i:ivor" on the north coast, There may be 300 speakers of Bonoraf. Beneraf language data was given by Terutsi and. recorded "by Norman Draper in i-iarch, 1973 at Masimasi Island. BE TAP Betaf Language is spoken in the village Betaf, west of the Biri River on the north coast. There may be 400 speakers of Betaf. Betaf Language data was given by Adeltia and recorded by Peter Y/estrum in March, 1973 at Masimasi island. «YAMNA ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ^ Yamna Language is spoken on Yanina Island on the north coast. There may 'do 200 speakers or Yamna. Yamna Language data was given by JDorkaa and recorded by Peter Westryn in March, 1973 at Masimasi Island. KAPITIAUW Kapitiauw langia^o is spoken in the village of the same name in district Bo&go on the north coact. There may be 200 speakers of Kapitiauw.
