Professor River Song Was an Archeologist in Doctor Who, Who First Appeared When David Tennant, the 10Th Doctor Still Traveled with Donna Noble (2008) Doctor Who “Silence in the Library” “Forest of the Dead” Professor River Song was an archeologist in Doctor Who, who first appeared when David Tennant, the 10th Doctor still traveled with Donna Noble (2008). The true identity of Professor River Song remained a secret until the 11th Doctor's next travel companion Amy Pond found out that in the future, River Song would become the Doctor's wife. A time traveler as well, the ending story of River Song was revealed earlier in 10th Doctor's “Silence in the Libray” and “Forest of the Dead”, the first time the Doctor met her. RIVER: Four thousand and twenty two. That's the exact number of people who were in the library when the planet was sealed. DONNA: But how can four thousand and twenty two people have been safe if there were no survivors? RIVER: That's what we're here to find out. ======================================== DOCTOR: Your screwdriver looks exactly like mine. RIVER: Yeah. You gave it to me. DOCTOR: I don't give my screwdriver to anyone. RIVER: I'm not anyone. But you need to be less emotional, Doctor, right now. DOCTOR: Less emotional? I'm not emotional. RIVER: There are five people in this room still alive. Focus on that. Dear God, you're hard work young. DOCTOR: Young? Who are you? ======================================== DOCTOR: We beam all the people out of the data core. The computer will reset and stop the countdown. Difficult. Charlotte doesn't have enough memory space left to make the transfer. Easy! I'll hook myself up to the computer. She can borrow my memory space. RIVER: Difficult. It'll kill you stone dead. DOCTOR: Yeah, it's easy to criticize. RIVER: It'll burn out both your hearts and don't think you'll regenerate. DOCTOR: I'll try my hardest not to die. Honestly, it's my main thing. RIVER: Doctor! DOCTOR: I'm right, this works. Shut up. Now listen. You and Luxy boy, back up to the main library. Prime any data cells you can find for maximum download, and before you say anything else, Professor, can I just mention in passing as you're here, shut up. RIVER: Oh! I hate you sometimes. DOCTOR: I know! RIVER: Mister Lux, with me. DONNA: There wasn't even anyone called Lee in the library that day. I suppose he could have had a different name out here, but, let's be honest, he wasn't real, was he? DOCTOR: Maybe not. DONNA: I made up the perfect man. Gorgeous, adores me, and hardly able to speak a word. What's that say about me? DOCTOR: Everything. Sorry, did I say everything? I meant to say nothing. I was aiming for nothing. I accidentally said everything. DONNA: What about you? DONNA: Are you all right? DOCTOR: I'm always all right. DONNA: Is all right special Time Lord code for really not all right at all? DOCTOR: Why? DONNA: Because I'm all right, too. ======================================== RIVER: When you run with the Doctor, it feels like it will never end. But however hard you try, you can't run forever. Everybody knows that everybody dies, and nobody knows it like the Doctor. But I do think that all the skies of all the worlds might just turn dark, if he ever, for one moment, accepts it. 4.

Ghosts by Jonathan Morris is the final story in the set, bringing the Tenth Doctor and River Song together for one last time on the spooky planet of Demonese 2. Exactly this River I wanted to get to know better, space parties, ancient tombs, feminism, and cosmic freemasonry. That was so good.

    Adventures in Time and Sound: Leitmotif and Repetition in Doctor Who by Emilie Hurst A thesis submitted to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts in Music and Culture Carleton University Ottawa, Ontario © 2015 Emilie Hurst ii Abstract This thesis explores the intersections between repetition, leitmotif and the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze in the context the BBC television series Doctor Who (1963-1989; 2005- ). Deleuze proposes that instead of the return of the same, repetition, by its constant insertion in a new temporal context can produce difference as part of the process of the eternal return. He also rejects the concepts of being in favour of becoming. I argue his framework on repetition allows us to broaden the definition of the leitmotif and embrace the role of repetition. I analyse the leitmotif of three characters: Amy Pond, River Song, and the Doctor. In all three instances, the leitmotifs are an active participant in the process of becoming while, simultaneously, undergoing their own becoming.
