Brief biography of Comrade Ramiz Alia
As Comrade Enver Hoxha himself has des cribed him, Comrade Ramiz Alia has been one of his most distinguished collaborators, both during the National Liberation War and in the epoch of the construction of socialism in Albania. Comrade Ramiz. Alia was born in 1925 in the city of Shkodra, the son of a poor family. As early as when he was a pupil, he ac tively took part in the anti-fascist national liberation movement as a member of the Com munist Youth Organization which he joined at its founding. At the beginning of 1945 he became a member of the Communist Party of Albania, today the Party of Labour of Albania. During the war for national liberation from the yoke of the nazi-fascists, the Party charged Comrade Ramiz Alia with important responsibilities in the leadership of the Communist Youth Organization.
