Counselors from across the state were present to enhance their understanding of ethical decision making and to fulfill their continuing education ethics credits. Nearly 90 participants were in attendance. Six different sessions were presented over the course of the day. Gary Williams set the stage with his presentation on ethical issues counselors are most Dr. Mobley and Aisha Holmes likely to encounter. He did a wonderful job of getting participants engaged and ready to learn. Al Bevil presented a thought-provoking talk on ethical issues surrounding counseling and sex addictions. Dr. Judith Harrington discussed in depth the role of faith as a protective factor in suicide prevention, and also various religious attitudes towards suicide. Dr. Sean Hall provided a helpful overview of the new revisions in the DSM-5 to help ensure continued ethical practice. Dr. Pam Mobley presented information on the important role of confidentiality and understanding who the client is in rehabilitation and drug treatment. Finally Dr. Larry Tyson concluded the workshop with an interactive discussion on ethical issues according to the ACA Code of E t h i c s . E a c h o f t h e Dr. Sean Hall presenters were thought-provoking with informative topics, and we are extremely grateful for their enthusiastic participation. Thank you to each Zeta member who participated in planning and conducting the workshop. Thank you also to Pinches Tacos, who prepared our wonderful lunch.
