Of all European elections, the one scheduled for May 23-26, 2019, which will decide the composition of the 9th European Parliament, may be the most unpredictable, as well as the most important, in the history of the European Union. Far-right forces may gain unprecedented ground, with polls suggesting that they will win up to one-fifth of the 705 seats that will make up the European parliament after Brexit.1 The outcome of the election will have a profound impact not only on the political environment in Europe, but also on the trans- atlantic and Euro-Russian relationships. -

They also listened as an Iraqi bishop made an impassioned plea on behalf of Iraq’s dwindling Christian population, and called on the U.S. prelates to press the Obama administration to take steps to protect religious rights in the Middle Eastern country. The meeting was on June 13-15 with public sessions the first day and a half. The rest of the time was scheduled for executive session and not open to media coverage. On the opening day, the bishops voted 171-26 to move ahead with a draft of a message on work and the economy as a way to raise the profile of growing poverty and the struggles that unemployed people are experiencing. It is expected to be ready in time for a final vote at the bishops’ fall meeting in November. Titled “Catholic Reflections on Work, Poverty and a Broken Economy,” the message would advance the bishops’ priority Painting faces always adds a festive touch at parish festivals—a touch experienced by television reporter Keith Kaiser and Father H. -

Catholic Candle's List of Priests & Those Who Claim to Be Priests
Revision date: November 6, 2020 Catholic Candle’s List of Priests & Those Who Claim to be Priests This list primarily focuses on whether there is any doubt concerning the validity of the ordination of a priest whom the faithful might encounter. Note: Catholic sacramental theology requires that an ordination be treated as invalid if even the slightest reasonable doubt exists, concerning the validity of either the ordination or the ordaining bishop’s consecration. See the analyses elsewhere in Catholic Candle, which demonstrate the inherent doubtfulness of conciliar ordinations and consecrations: http://catholiccandle.neocities.org/faith/new-ordination-doubtful.html https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49oPuI54eEGd2RRcTFSY29EYzg/view https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49oPuI54eEGZVF5cmFvMGdZM0U/view Also, in the list below, Catholic Candle flags sedevacantist priests (or supposed priests) of which we are aware. Sedevacantism is a grave error and is schism. See this article analyzing the sedevacantist error: https://catholiccandle.neocities.org/faith/against-sedevacantism.html This is not a list of “approved” priests. It is the beginning of a prudent investigation concerning a particular priest. Fr. Patrick Abbet From Switzerland. Ordained in 2002. Source: STAS.org website, where he was an SSPX seminary professor. Fr. Stephen Abraham As of April 2017, he lives in a house with Bishop Richard Nelson Williamson, in Broadstairs, England. There are serious problems with this SSPX-ordained priest.
