STOCKHOLM AT A GLANCE 4 HRS (NYNAZ)

This comfortable coach-based tour will give you a chance to see all of Stockholm’s highlights, while saving your feet at the same time and it will begin with an approx. 45-minute coach drive to the city. Your introduction to the Swedish capital begins in the trendy residential neighbourhood of Södermalm, situated on the southernmost of Stockholm’s islands and known for its gorgeous old houses and creative, Bohemian vibe. Then it is on to City Hall all for an outside peek at the elegant red-brick building, which was constructed from 1911 to 1923 and is the regular venue of Nobel Prize banquets. Other key sights on the drive-by tour not only include the vast complex making up the magnificent Royal Palace, the biggest in the world still used by a head of state, and the – literally – ship-shaped Vasa Museum, but also the Gröna Lund Amusement Park and the Skansen open-air museum and zoo. The latter-named was first opened to the public in the late 19th century and was intended to show how life was lived in various parts of Sweden prior to industrialisation. To round off the tour, you can also enjoy lovely views of the old Royal Dramatic Theatre, the Royal Opera House and Stockholm city centre before you return to the pier and your ship. Please note: external viewings only of the places visited. Guests using a wheelchair are advised that they must be accompanied by a paying helper to provide assistance with getting on and off the coach and that wheelchairs must be collapsible/foldable since the coach has neither a ramp nor a lift. Guests using a wheelchair who would like to participate in this tour are requested to contact the Shore Excursions’ Desk promptly once they are on board so that arrangements can be made..
