CONTROL OF THE COMPETITIONS 1.1 The organization, control and management of the Youth Leagues & Cup Competitions in all its various age groups shall be the responsibility of the Gibraltar Football Association (GFA) acting through the Technical Youth Committee (TYC). This Committee shall consist of the Technical Director and the Grassroots Manager. 1.2 The GFA Board of Directors (the “Board”) (as defined in the Statutes of the GFA “the Statutes”) acting through the TYC, shall have the power to add, alter and/or remove these rules. 1.3 The Board acting through the TYC has the power to act, maKe decisions, orders and impose such penalties, as it deems appropriate in relation to any matter not specifically mentioned in these Rules or Regulations. 1.4 The Board, acting through the TYC, has exclusive entitlement and authorization to use, sell or otherwise exploit all marKeting and commercial rights associated with the Youth League and Cup Competitions. 2. YOUTH LEAGUES & CUP COMPETITIONS 2.1 Unless otherwise agreed, Gibraltar FA Youth Competitions shall comprise of the following: 2.1.1 noncompetitive football (age groups 5 through to 10 inclusive) (the “Non-Competitive Categories”); 2.1.2 competitive football (age groups 12 to 16 inclusive) (the “Competitive Categories”) 2.2 All matters related to the division of the age groups, number of teams in each age group and playing areas which affect the format established and are of relevance for the good Governance of the Youth Competitions shall be administered via Regulations attached to these rules which will be published at the start of each season. -

ESTO REPORT: GERMAN FOOTBALL STRATEGY AND THE STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE OF SYNTHETIC TURF: A BLUEPRINT FOR FOOTBALL ASSOCIATIONS TO CONSIDER SYNTHETIC TURF AS A LONG TERM DEVELOPMENT AND PERFORMANCE STRATEGY. BACKGROUND ON THE GERMAN FOOTBALL STRATEGY Germany lifting the World Cup this summer was the product of over a decade of careful planning and innovation by the DFB (German Football Association). It all began with an embarrassing performance in the World Cup 1998, with a 3:0 loss to Croatia in the quarter-final, and then at the Euro 2000, when the “Mannschaft” failed to go through the group stages and finished last in their group. Immediately following this disappointing Euro 2000, the country decided that the only way to redeem themselves and regain their top level was to tackle the problem from the bottom-up and therefore focused on the developing the game at grass roots level. The upshot of unsatisfactory results in international competitions was that the DFB decided to invest all their time and resources in the development of young talent by improving accessibility and by focusing on a technical and tactical approach. Therefore, in 2001, the first compulsory requirement the DFB imposed on all 36 clubs in the 1st and 2nd German divisions was the integration of youth academies within the structure of the clubs. Then from 2002/2003 onwards, The German football association started implementing football bases all over the country, with the aim to allow every player access to the best coaching. At the moment, there are 366 of these DFB bases throughout Germany (see map on the right), and are thus within easy reach of all players. -

The FIFA FIFPro Women’s World11 awards are organised by FIFA and FIFPro. Art. 2. The awards are given to the best players in each position (cf. art. 7 below) based on their performances during the period from 25 May 2018 to 7 July 2019 inclusive. Art 3. Players must have appeared in at least 15 official matches (at national or international level) during the period from 25 May 2018 to 7 July 2019 inclusive in order to be eligible. Art. 4. The winners of the awards are voted for by professional women’s players from around the world. Art. 5. All votes count equally. Art. 6. Players may vote for any current professional women’s player, including themselves and team-mates from the same club or national team. Art. 7. Each voting player nominates one (1) goalkeeper, four (4) defenders, three (3) midfielders and three (3) forwards. Art. 8. The player with the most votes in each position will be named in the FIFA FIFPro Women’s World11. Art. 9. Where a player receives a vote in more than one position (for example, as a forward and as a midfielder), the votes will be combined and FIFPro will determine the position in which the player’s votes will be counted. Art. 10. In the event of a tie for the last available place in a position (when the number of players exceeds the permitted number of positions), the player who has played the most international matches for her country shall be selected. -

Scandinavian Women's Football Goes Global – a Cross-National Study Of
Scandinavian women’s football goes global – A cross-national study of sport labour migration as challenge and opportunity for Nordic civil society Project relevance Women‟s football stands out as an important subject for sports studies as well as social sciences for various reasons. First of all women‟s football is an important social phenomenon that has seen steady growth in all Nordic countries.1 Historically, the Scandinavian countries have been pioneers for women‟s football, and today Scandinavia forms a centre for women‟s football globally.2 During the last decades an increasing number of female players from various countries have migrated to Scandinavian football clubs. Secondly the novel development of immigration into Scandinavian women‟s football is an intriguing example of the ways in which processes of globalization, professionalization and commercialization provide new challenges and opportunities for the Nordic civil society model of sports. According to this model sports are organised in local clubs, driven by volunteers, and built on ideals such as contributing to social cohesion in society.3 The question is now whether this civil society model is simply disappearing, or there are interesting lessons to be drawn from the ways in which local football clubs enter the global market, combine voluntarism and professionalism, idealism and commercialism and integrate new groups in the clubs? Thirdly, even if migrant players stay only temporarily in Scandinavian women‟s football clubs, their stay can create new challenges with regard to their integration into Nordic civil society. For participants, fans and politicians alike, sport appears to have an important role to play in the success or failure of the integration of migrant groups.4 Unsuccessful integration of foreign players can lead to xenophobic feelings, where the „foreigner‟ is seen as an intruder that pollutes the close social cohesion on a sports team or in a club. -
